Our education at Halmstad University was completed with a degree project. Our task was to improve an already existing pneumatic damper to Nederman in Helsingborg. Overall we have made necessary calculations to make the design of the existing damper smaller. When these calculations were done, we moved on with an analysis of the existing damper in order to figure out what improvements could be made on each part of the damper. The result of this project is a smaller and a more supple design of a pneumatic damper. To this we have also created complete drawings, calculated material expenses; we have also created an assembly of a pneumatic damper in Catia v5..

The motivation for use an adaptive simulated annealing method for analog circuit design are to increase the efficiency of the design circuit. Babies born prematurely are deprived of normal sensorimotor stimulation when placed in an artificial environment, the incubator. The aim of this project was to design a series of products that could promote the baby?s emotional and neurological development, and to facilitate parental bonding. The products designed in this project has a theoretical basis on the research available today on cognitive and emotional development in children born prematurely. They were developed in close cooperation with a group of parents and nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit.Presence is a product collection for developmental care, consisting of a mattress, a figure and a necklace. The mattress has vibration sensors that transfer the mother?s heart beat and speakers with recorded heartbeat and her voice.

In relation to the development of IT-products it is very important that the software supplier is aware not only of the target group but also the field of application. Usability should characterize the whole IT-design process as, in relation to this context, design includes more than merely those aspects which are visible to and thus can be interpreted by the naked eye. The study examines the specific qualities and properties that substantiate the usability and the demands that a customer rightfully expects from an IT-product. The user and the customer are highlighted in the same context in order to demonstrate that it is through the customer that an IT-product is defined as being useful. Thus, from this perspective, the user and customer can be considered as being the same person.

 I detta examensarbete har metoder för design av en FPGA-baserad PCM-till-PWM-modulator för klass D-audioförstärkare testats och utvärderats. Rapporten diskuterar med stöd av matematisk analys och simuleringar interpoleringsmetoder, pulsbreddsmodulering, samplingsprocesser och sigma-delta-modulatorer. Den föreslagna designen bygger på uppsampling, förkompensering, brusformning och pulsbreddsmodulering. Designens prestanda har verifierats genom simulering av modell och implementering i hårdvara. .

The aim of this study was to, through a qualitative method, investigate students? participation in a specific library blog to find out what motivate them to create and share digital book recommendations through videos. It also intended to describe the students? own views of their participation.We conducted interviews with eight students in the ages 12 and 13, who all had similar experiences regarding the blog creation but diverse attitudes concerning the blog production and intentions to participate.The results showed that the strongest motivating forces behind the students' participation in the blog creation was that they enjoyed the making of the videos and also because they wanted to inspire others to read more and create resembling blogs..

This report is a bachelor thesis work in the field of product development and design. The assignment has been to develop a solution for roof racks, normally used for cars, to fit on the open trailer models FS1425 and Alugance. The project was implemented by Johan Andersson and Victor Karlsson, students at the Mechanical Engineering program with a focus on product development and design at Jo?nko?ping?s school of Engineering, in spring 2012.The client wants to use transport solutions in the same way as roof racks on cars. The user of such a product is assumed to desire simplicity, safety and an attractive design with an appealing price, which has been a challenge during the thesis work.Pre-studies have been conducted to examine the potential competitors and gain knowledge in the research area.

In the beginning of the essay the legal situtation before the implementation is investigated and part of the purpose is to evaluate if it constitutes a solution to the problems with protection of fashion designs that existed then. Because fashion designs more or less were excluded from protection during the period before the implementation the fashion business developed a habit of unauthorized reproduction. Kunderna till Softwerk AB har dock uttryckt ett behov av att även kunna nå ut till sina användare med en webbaserad samt en utskrivningsbar lösning. AppCMS?s exportformat har därför analyserats för att undersöka möjligheten till att återanvända det existerande exportformatet från AppCMS  även för dessa plattformarna.

Sedan ett antal år tillbaka har dagspressektorns lönsamhet minskat, vilket inneburit att redaktionerna blivit mindre och arbetsuppgifterna för de enskilda individerna har blivit fler. Ny teknik, Internet, digitaliseringen och flera andra faktorer har gjort att redaktionsarbetet förändrats och mediearbetarna har fått fler arbetsuppgifter än tidigare. Fotograferna ska gärna filma, fota med mobiltelefonens kamera och arbeta mot webbtidningen, samtidigt som de får ökad konkurrens från multijournalister som gör allt själva och amatörfotografer på rätt plats vid rätt tillfälle. Flera undersökningar bland journalister visar på ökad stress, arbetsrelaterade sjukdomar och arbetsskador.Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur några av de tidigare nämnda faktorerna utvecklat några fotografers arbetsuppgifter, arbetstempo och arbetssätt på de två lokaltidningarna Sydsvenska Dagbladet och Västerbottens-Kuriren. Dessa två tidningar valdes som två fall inom lokaltidningssektorn, en större och en mindre.Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod i form av enskilda intervjuer av åtta personer.

Vi läser idag allt mer tidningar på Internet och det har länge diskuterats om det papperslösa samhället. Många studier har gjorts inom ämnet och inriktar sig på läsbarhet, användbarhet och andra faktorer som spelar in vid läsning både på papper och webb för att försöka utröna om det går att ersättas digitalt. Men ingen studie inriktar sig på att undersöka upplevelsen. Denna undersöknings syfte var att ta reda på om det fanns någon skillnad i upplevelse mellan att läsa ett pappersmagasin respektive ett digitalt och i så fall hur den ter sig. Åtta testpersoner ingick i undersökningen där de fick läsa både ett pappersmagasin samt dess digitala motsvarighet och under tiden förklara sina känslor.
