Fuel pellets are a refined bio fuel mostly consisting of residues from sawmills and wood industry. At Rindi Västerdala AB's combined bio energy plant in Vansbro fuel pellets are produced, while the waste heat from the process is used for district heating. The pellets are produced from sawdust, wood shavings and dry wood chips that is dried, milled and pressed into small cylindrical rods. The advantage of refining the wood material in this manner is that the energy value is greater per unit volume and unit weight, thereby the cost of transportation per energy unit is reduced. Also, less storage space is needed.Pellet manufacturing is a complex process since many parameters affects the final results.

När en förfrågan om anslutning av en produktionsanläggning kommer tillelnätsägaren är det elnätsägarens skyldighet att göra beräkningar om huruvida nätetbehöver förstärkas eller inte. Uppgiften för examensarbetet var att se på vilket sätt enplanerad vindkraftanslutning kan påverka elkvaliteten samt att se på kabelsträckningar.Även alternativa anslutningar och grov kostnadskalkyl skulle presenteras.För elkvalitetsberäkningarna användes AMP och ASP som är riktlinjer för anslutning avproduktionsanläggningar till elnätet. Data om kraftverken följde meduppdragsbeskrivningen.Det presenteras olika kabelsträckningsalternativ i rapporten. För de olika sträckningarnagörs även en jämförelse mellan konstruktionsspänningsalternativen 12 och 24 kV.

Toincrease the efficiency of theThermoelectric Energy Storage, wasteheat from the district heating networkis integrated.A model of the Thermoelectric EnergyStorage has been developed and it wascalculated by thermodynamic propertiesof the working fluid, CO2, in thevarious process steps.

Vi lever i en tid då människor är mer rörliga över landgränser än någonsin förr. Detta får till konsekvens att det blir allt vanligare att människor har kopplingar till flera länder på olika sätt. Det blir också vanligare att personer av olika nationaliteter och ursprung gifter sig och skaffar barn tillsammans med följden att det blir vanligare att familjer efter en separation har anknytning till flera stater.Denna uppsats undersöker hur olika internationella instrument försöker skydda barns rätt till kontakt med sina föräldrar när de bor i olika länder. Vidare diskuterar uppsatsen hur och under vilka omständigheter umgängesdomar som beslutats i en stat kan verkställas i en annan stat. I detta syfte undersöks flera internationella instrument, men fokus ligger på Bryssel IIa-förordningen, 1980 års Haagkonvention och 1996 års Haagkonvention.I uppsatsen konstateras att hur verkställigheten av en dom i Sverige sker beror på i vilken utländsk stat domen har utfärdats och det konstateras att de olika instrumenten är olika effektiva vad gäller att verkställa en umgängesdom.

Bakgrund: Tidigare forskning visade att ett kirurgiskt ingrepp är en stressfylld upplevelse både fysiskt och psykiskt eftersom kroppens integritet hotas. Preoperativ oro var ett vanligt problem vid elektiv kirurgi. Omvårdnad var ett stöd till medicinsk behandling t.ex. genom information som minskar patientens oro och ängslan samt ökar patientens tolerans för smärta. Syftet: Var att beskriva vad patienterna är oroliga för inför elektiv kirurgi samt ge kunskap i vad sjuksköterskan omvårdnadsmässigt kan göra för att minska oron inför elektiv kirurgi.

Avdelningen för strömningslära vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet har en vindtunnel som främst används till utbildning i aerodynamik för studenter. I skrivandets stund finns bara en vinge (osvept) som tillåter att 3? dimensionella effekter kan studeras och jämföras med en vinge som har 2? dimensionell strömning av samma sorts vingprofil. Dueto this the purpose of this report is true a case, study and analyze what kind of factors thereis to take into consideration during the materials way from the supplier to the workstationin a project located in the inner city. The data for the report was collected with the help of acase study, and in three different ways.

This project aims to investigate whether algae can be used for biodiesel production in Italy. Algaes are a good option since they are fast growing and do not occupy arable land. The aspects that have been considered are growing, harvesting, which algae strain that is most suitable, extraction of oil, the production of biodiesel and where in Italy this could be possible due to climate. Cost? and energy calculations have been made to investigate if biodiesel produced from algae would be profitable. During the production of biodiesel there are several residues obtained. When the oil has been extracted from the algae, biogas is produced from the residual biomass by anaerobic digestion and then the electricity that can be produced is supplied to the production of biodiesel.

The location for the Swedish nuclearfuel repository at nearly 500 meters depth at Forsmark in Östhammar was decided 3June 2009. The repository will be located at Söderviken, close to the Forsmarknuclear power plant in a 1.90 billion year old bedrock that will accommodate 12,000tons of spent nuclear fuel.

This report presents the results of a thesis in which the department PL Hus at Grontmij AB isstudied. The study has been done in order to locate problem areas in order to streamline andimprove the quality of working. The study was done by an engineering student from theDepartment of Industrial Management at KTH on behalf of Grontmij AB. The project extendedover a period of 20 weeks during spring 2011.In addition to the Department itself has two project managers in two different projects beenfollowed. The method used has been participant observation and was used to be able to comeclose to reality and thus find problem areas where there are opportunities for development.Validation was made through comments and opinions from workers at Grontmij AB, afterreading the reports analysis.Based on a system and holistic approach has parallels been drawn to the production systems suchas TPS (Toyota Production System) and lean production.

Scientists are certain that the globalwarming comes from the emission of green house gasses that is created by human consumptionof oil, gas and coal.Dishwashers today are a lot more energy efficient than older dishwashers, but there are stillmargins to lower the energy consumption. The aim with this project is to investigate thedishwasher and it?s washing cycle, noting different phases and components that contribute towaste of energy.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan växelvis boende och socioekonomisk bakgrund. Uppsatsens frågeställning är hur föräldrarnas socioekonomiska bakgrund påverkar sannolikheten att barnen har ett växelvis boende, konstanthållet för relevanta kontrollvariabler. Detta kopplas till den andra demografiska transitionen samt till de socioekonomiska följderna för barn. Datamaterialet som använts i uppsatsen samlades in åren 2001-2003 och kommer från Statistiska centralbyråns Barn-ULF. Utifrån det har bivariata och multivariata analyser skapats genom logistisk regression.I resultatet framgår att det finns ett samband mellan växelvis boende och socioekonomisk grupp.
