Preciform AB är ett legotillverkande företag i Eskilstuna som har specialiserats sig på djupdragning, svetsning, slipning och formning av tunnplåt samt ytbehandling och montering. Företaget har som en del av sin produktion montage av Scuffplate till Volvo XC90-R-design.Från 2012 kommer VCC att ändra utseende på XC90-R-design, vilket innebär för Preciforms del att det blir en förväntad ökning av dagstakten samt att det kommer ställa ökade krav på logistiken runt Scuffplatemonteringen, vilket dagens process inte är anpassad för. Syftet med det här examensarbetet, som är en del av en förstudie på Preciform är att förbättra monteringsprocessen, skapa en överskådlig hantering samt lagerutrymme för ett ökat antal artiklar av ingående material.Tidsstudier av genomloppstid, processtid, godshantering och transporter samt gångstudie genomfördes för att identifiera förbättringsåtgärder, där de olika studierna tjänade som underlag vid beräkningar och jämförelser före och efter implementering av förbättringsåtgärder.Analyser av studierna visade att en av scuffplatemonteringens sex klart avgränsade stationer hade en högre genomloppstid än de andra. Föreslagna förbättringsåtgärder har syftat till att jämna ut takten i monteringsprocessen och reducera waste.En ny layout presenterades och efter viss modifiering implementerades den tillsammans med merparten av förbättringsförslagen.Beräkningar av tillgänglig tid i monteringen visar att en annan arbetsfördelning och indelning av stationer är möjlig i ett fortsatt förbättringsarbete.Jämförelser mellan gammal och ny layout visar på en reduktion av waste i genomloppstiden med 32 procent och en stegreducering med 30 procent.En fortsatt verksamhetsutveckling kommer att reducera tid och steg ytterligare. Resultaten av vidtagna förbättringsåtgärder kan utgöra grunden för en ny förbättringsprocess enligt principerna för Demings hjul.

Studien syftet är att undersöka om barn som har ammats längre än ett år har ökad risk för karies före sex års ålder. Metoden är en systematisk litteraturstudie där databaserna Cinahl, Cocharane och PubMed har sökts. Resultatet baserades på fyra kohortstudier och tio tvärsnittsstudier. Resultatet av dessa fjorton studier kan indelas i två riktningar, studier som visar att amning längre än ett år ökar kariesrisken och studier som indikerar att amning inte ökar risken för karies. Slutsatser: Utifrån resultatet av artiklarna får det anses att det vetenskapliga underlaget är otillräckligt för att hävda att amning ökar risken för kariesutveckling..

Saab Training Systems (STS) in Huskvarna is manufacturing material for educationalpurposes to armies worldwide. They are now implementing parts of the Lean productionconcept in their organisation.One part of the work with Lean production is to eliminate waste. To be able to identify waste,value stream mapping is a good tool and also what we used in our thesis. To gain a betterefficiency in the production of Personnel Detector Device (PDD) flow was one of our goals.The PDD is a harness used during battle training which registers if the user is being hit by itsenemy.Our work with the thesis started up with a short education in Lean production and in valuestream mapping (VSM). The work proceeded with a VSM of the production flow of the PDD,interviews were made and studies of literature were done to gain greater knowledge of thesubject and solve the task.The VSM resulted in five areas which were followed up out of those six we identified.

The purpose of the work is to analyze and balance an assembly line at Fläkt Woods in Jönköping. The work is going to answer the questions about today?s throughput time, how much waste that occurs, number of staff at the assembly line, how the supply of material works and possible improvements that can be made at the work stations. The work is also going to give a proposal of improve-ments that can be made.The methods used to get the result include observations and measurements, con-versations with technicians and operators and also data from Fläkt Woods? data-base.Large variations in throughput time are measured during the measure period, from 3 hours up to 5 hours and 35 minutes.

When the producers? responsibility for packaging was introduced in Sweden in 1994 the industry set up public recycling stations to facilitate the collection of the waste material. In order to establish recycling stations at suitable locations the municipalities assist the industry?s service organization for operation of the recycling stations, the Package and Newspaper Collection Service (Förpacknings- och tidningsinsamlingen, FTI). The objectives of this thesis are to improve the service of the public recycling stations within Lidingö town and to increase the accessibility to these stations for the inhabitants of Lidingö.

This thesis aspires to construct a routing optimization method customized for Volvo Powerstrain?s manufacturing plant in Skövde, Sweden. In order to enforce Volvo?s own understanding and control of there own organization, as well as optimize the utilization of the in-house tow trains, the BRO methodology where created. The methodology where created from observations of the currents working environment, analysis of order data as well as a comparison with two similar producing factories.

The construction industry can contribute to a healthier sustainable community. A development that is going on right now is by using more prefabricated volume- and plan elements on the construction sites. Building with this method not only provides a benefit to the environment, but also reduces production rates by taking up to 80 percent less time to build. By building in this way it will be easier to recycle and keep all the material that otherwise would go to waste. Idag ställs stora krav på företag att vara miljömedvetna och resurseffektiva i sin verksamhet. Vid mjukpapperstillverkning används stora energimängder och inom industrin har det under många år funnits en strävan att energieffektivisera processer och att tillvarata spillenergi, bland annat genom värmeåtervinning. Valmet Tissue Technology Center i Karlstad har idag en pilotmaskinen utan värmeåtervinningssystem. Den här undersökningen gjordes i syfte att ta reda på hur stor återvinningspotentialen är för värmeväxling i pilotmaskinens torkpartier, bestående av Yankeekåpan och TAD-cylindrarna. Tre maskinkoncept undersöktes: DCT®, NTT? och TAD.

Eutrophication of the Baltic Sea and Swedish lakes remains a major problem despite many years of effort to reduce the emissions of nutrients. One major source is waste water systems, especially private sewage systems. These sewages accounts for a very large share of nutrients per capita in comparison with citizens connected to larger sewage treatment plants. Norrtälje community has the greatest number of private sewage systems in Sweden. Discharges of nutrients, especially phosphorus, to the Baltic Sea from these sewage systems are significant.

Återvinningstekniker som studerats är mekanisk bearbetning, mekanisk återvinning, kemisk återvinning och viskostillverkning. Flera underklasser till dessa metoder studerades också, liksom flera sätt att tillverka återvunna produkter. Milk is a nutritional food product and previous research suggests that low fat dairy products may have blood pressure lowering effect.Objective: The aim was to examine the scientific basis of how low fat dairy products affect blood pressure.Search strategy: Twelve searches were conducted on PubMed and Scopus, where the chosen search terms were combined to produce a broad search as possible in the particular area. The search terms used were dairy, dairy products, milk, blood pressure and hypertension.Selection criteria: Studies on normotensive or hypertensive individuals who received low fat dairy products were included.

SammanfattningEn ånganna monterades i EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) slingan på en 12,7 liters Scania Euro V motor (DC1306). En modell som beskriver Rankine cykel togs fram med vatten som köldmedium i simuleringsverktyget GT-Power. Ångpannan i GT-power modellen kalibrerades m.h.a experimentell data.Simuleringarna visade att det optimala ångtrycket, det trycket där högst effekt kan erhållas från expandern, är beroende av EGR temperaturen. Det innebär att ju högre EGR inloppstemperatur desto högre optimalt ångtryck. EGR temperaturen i punkt 2 i ESC cykeln är 514? C för denna motor, vilket resulterar i ett optimalt tryck på 120 bar enligt simuleringen.

There is also a possibility that spreading of ley crops gives the material a more homogeneous content of dry matter and that gives a reduced growth of clostridium. This is particularly important when the method of harvest doesn?t include any mixing of the material like it does with a round baler or silagewagon.
