This is a bachelor thesis that studies and discuss the question: How can we develop our individual narrative technique with sound design in a Swedish drama production? We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. AbstractNarrative has a big impact on movies, tv-shows, books and art. But does narrative always matter? This paper is about narratives and its importance on the webpage called YouTube. Thru our research we wanted to find an answer to the question: if narrative storytelling is a part of making a video on YouTube successful. We used ten videos from YouTube that was popular in June 2011.

Allteftersom 3d-animerade produktioner blir alltmer vanliga både i film och i TV-produktioner och datorer blir kraftfullare varje år: så börjar realtidsrendering bli mer och mer aktuellt. I detta examensarbete kommer jag främst att koncentrera mig på att skapa koncept, modellering, texturering, behandling av material och ljussättning av en prototypkaraktär där målet är att se om det går att uppnå en så pass hög kvalité på det visuella, att det går att använda i en professionell produktion och om detta inte uppnås: ta reda på vad som saknas. Resultatet är en karaktärsmodell med en tecknad visuell stil med tillhörande återanvändbart material, som förhoppningsvis ser tillräckligt bra ut för att kunna användas i till exempel ett animerat barnprogram på TV.

The Swedish censorship is an institution run by the Swedish government since 1911 and has cutting films to protect the citizens from unnecessary violence. Their main purpose doesn't work well with the law of copyright in literary and artistic works, as they break this law while cutting movies. They therefore destroy the authors work by doing this, and in this thesis I will point out how they have destroyed the purpose of two scenes in the film Hellraiser and by that, more or less, altered how the audience may look upon two of the characters in the film.  The results points to the unnecessary way of physically cutting films to protect the audience, but also how they choose to work and what preferences they used in their line of work..

Mellan år 1987 och 2000 fanns ett beväpnat helikopterförband inom arméflyget. Dessa två pansarvärnshelikopterkompanier användes för att bekämpa stridsfordon. Efter nedläggningen har Sverige inte haft en helikopter med beväpning för annat än egenskydd.Uppsatsen syftar till att utifrån William S. Linds teori om manöverkrigföring utvärdera om pansarvärnshelikopterkompanierna framgångsrikt bidrog till att besegra motståndaren.Det framkommer att pansarvärnshelikopterkompaniernas taktik väl stämmer överrens med Linds teori vilket pekar på att bestyckade helikoptrar är ett mycket användbart instrument inom manöverkrigföringen.  .

This thesis is a study of documentaries about fictional feature films. The development of the DVD format has contributed strongly to their massive increase in quantity. The capacity of the format enables film companies to include more material than the feature film itself. This study seeks to further investigate the phenomenon known as product placement, delimited to movies/television. By conducting an experiment we tested whether different presumptions matters for what effect a product placement will have on attitude and if these could be affected. We also looked at if the level of product integration effect attitude and realism enhancement.

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse archaeological finds related to mead during the Late Iron Age in southern Scandinavia. Five central places from the Iron Age are compared to five historical texts, that in some way connects to either the central places or to the use of mead. This will be done by using action theory. The action theory focuses on what kind of actions humans have done to create social and cultural purposes. Since the last part of the Late Iron Age, the Viking Age, is getting more popular due to movies, games and tv-shows it is also relevant to study how modern-day mead represents the Viking Age through its marketing.

This essay deals with the principle of surprise warfare and its development as well as the adaptation of military action that had to be made to surprise the opponent in the modern era.The concept of surprise is divided into its components in order to clarify what is required to implement a surprising maneuver, to understand the complex concept and form a theoretical framework for gathering facts in the case study.Development and adaption are demonstrated by a comparative case study where Pearl Harbor illustrates an example of historical surprise and Operation Desert Storm illustrates a modern surprise. The product will then be analyzed in order to detect the development and how military conduct is forced to adapt in order to carry out a surprising maneuver. Uppsatsen är skriven med utgångspunkt i att understödjande förbands bidrag i operationer i stadsmiljö sällan nämns i reglementen, samt att förståelse för hur telekrigsförband uppträder och deras unika förmågor är generellt sätt låg inom försvarsmakten. Mitt syfte är att tydligöra hur en telekrigsenhet med dess unika förmåga kan bidra till lösande av uppgifter i en MOUT-operation. I min uppsats försöker jag med hjälp av ett teoretiskt synsätt svara på vad en telekrigsenhet kan bidraga med i en operation av ett MOUT-koncept. För att besvara denna fråga använder jag mig av en kvalitativ textanalys och intervjuer. Resultatet som framkommer är att en telekrigsenhet är en unik resurs som kan bidra med unika underrättelser och verkan, främst kopplat till stegen förstå, få bättre lägesuppfattning samt att kunna engagera motståndaren i en MOUT-operation..
