Our examination project has been to develop today?s existing walking frames and make them more exiting and user friendly for tomorrow?s users.The use of a walking frame today makes it easier for a person with a movement difficulty in different extent. It makes it easier with their living condition and the user get a more movement easier life where they can take care of the daily chores without any help from the society or the family members.With our product we get a product that not only makes it easier for the user to get out and get forward. We help the user to get forward where they often would have difficulties to get forward. An example is where its more steeper parts where it could be more difficult to get up or down and even with more difficult foundation due to bad weather.

As we travel more and more by train it becomes increasingly important
that the time we spend traveling, is of great quality. This has been the foundation of this master thesis and has shaped the outcome of it. The traveling experience, that is, the experience of the landscape that flashes by outside the train window, is an important aspect in railway planning and an aspect that should be taken into greater consideration. The purpose of this master thesis has been to examine how to compose or improve the travel experience for an already planned high speed railway and how the travel experience can be combined with other aspects, which have claims on the landscape. This thesis is based on a literature study and a case study of Ostlänken.
The work describes Ostlänken, a planned high speed railway in Sweden between Järna and Linköping, with top speeds at 300-320 kilometers per hour.

It?s difficult to evaluate the ultimate city structuresince all people experience their city in different ways, butarchitects still should be able to create urban spaces thatis suited for the human kind, just as we can create differentbiotopes for flora and fauna. Therefore there must be generalideas of what the human being experience as good or bad and theseshould be guidelines when designing urban space.Since urban space is something that most people experience everyday it doesn´t always have a clear impact on them.
GPGPU : Bildbehandling på grafikkort
GPGPU is a collective term for research involving general computation on graphics cards. A modern graphics card typically provides more than ten times the computational power of an ordinary PC processor. This is a result of the high demands for speed and image quality in computer games.This thesis investigates the possibility of exploiting this computational power for image processing purposes. Three well known methods where implemented on a graphics card: FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), KLT (Kanade Lucas Tomasi point tracking) and the generation of scale pyramids. All algorithms where successfully implemented and they are tree to ten times faster than correspondning optimized CPU implementation..
Vem eller vad sätter priset? : En kartläggning av inköpsmarknaderna för tre metaller (Krom, Molybden, Vanadin)
Detta arbete utförs efter en förfrågan från Uddeholm Tooling om att försöka kartlägga riskerna på inköpsmarknaden för metallerna krom, molybden och vanadin. Då detta anses vara mycket svårt föreslås här istället en kartläggning av marknaden för respektive metall, detta för att ge en bild av hur marknaden ser ut och vilka aktörer som finns.Frågorna som behandlas är var bryts, förädlas, konsumeras respektive metall? Hur varierar priserna, beskrivs priserna bäst med en random walk eller med en mean reverting stokastisk process.Det visar sig relativt snart att det är mycket problematiskt att inhämta relevant data. Speciellt då dessa metaller inte handlas öppet utan där kontrakten mellan köpare och säljare är konfidentiella. Priserna som rapporteras baseras på månatliga intervjuer med köpare, säljare och traders som utförs av branschmagasin.

Videokort för VME-Bussen
Denna rapport behandlar konstruktion och tillverkning av ett videokort till Versa Module Eurocard (VME) bussen. Kortet skall användas vid laborationer i kurser där mikrodatorkort VM42 från PEP Modular Computer används. Grafikkortet klarar en upplösning på minst 640x480 punkter med 24-bitars färg. Hela konstruktionen är uppbyggd kring Lattice® MACH4A3-384/160. Designen av MACH kretsen är uppbyggd i Very High speed integrated hardware Description Language (VHDL) med hjälp av programmen ActiveHDL, Synplify Pro®, ispDesignExpert samt LatticePRO.
Pseudoslumptalsgenerering : En studie av pseudoslumpsalgoritmer i allmänhet med fokus på C++11-biblioteketRandom samt implementation av en modifierad XORShift
Randomness is a complex area of computer science, where only pseudo random numbers are possible to generate algorithmically.This report presents established algorithms for random number generation by conducting a basic study of relevant literature, while testing distribution and speed of the algorithms contained within the C++11 Random library. The results are compared to the algorithm XORShift and a modified version of it. The study shows that the modified algorithm passes all tests in Small Crush, andthat the run time is shorter than for those in the Random library. The conclusion is that it is possible to, with simple means, modify an algorithm to outperform the algorithms of the C++11 Random library..
Utvärdering av precisionen hos sensorer för tröghetsnavigering
Rotundus AB är ett världsledande företag inom området för sfäriska robotar som håller på att utveckla den markbundna farkosten GroundBot(tm). För att detektera robotens translations- och rotationsrörelser används accelerometrar och hastighetsgyron. Dessutom används sensorerna för tröghetsnavigering när GPS-täckning saknas.Målet med projektet innebär att ta fram en metod för att utvärdera precisionen hos sensorer för robotens tröghetsnavigeringsenhet. Metoden koncentrerar sig på fyra av sensorernas felkällor: Skalfaktor, bias, slumpvandring och biasinstabilitet.För att beräkna skalfaktorn och biasen används linjära minsta kvadratmetoden där utsignalen från sensorn anpassas mot ett teoretiskt värde. Aktivitens betydelse för åldersrelaterad kognitiv försämring
The current paper compares the relations between different measures of activity and some common neuropsychological tests. One-hundred and fifty five healthy elderly, aged 55 - 85, living in Sweden were included. Gender-specific patterns were found for both activities and correlations between activities and cognitive measures. The main findings suggest that activities are associated with cognitive speed in men, whereas, for women, active and passive activities correlate, positively and negatively accordingly, with education. In comparison, complex models of activity outperform simpler ones and theory-driven measures just barely outperform intuitive models..

More than 1000 Swedish Warmblood foals are shown every year at foal inspections which are arranged around the country. Six traits are evaluated at these inspections: type, head-neck-body, correctness of legs, walk, trot and canter. No previous genetic studies have been done on the data from these evaluations. The purpose of this study was to do genetic analyses of the traits which are evaluated at foal inspections. The purpose was also to see if there are any correlations between the results of the foal inspections and the results from the tests of three-year-old horses.

This essay derives from the concern that horses ridden with a bit in their mouth can be subjected to strong pressure from the bit if the horse and rider do not understand each other. The horse's mucosa membrane and the tongue are very sensitive tissues (Cook, 1999; Manfredi, 2005; Oliveira, 2005; Terada, 2006) and the bit can then be a source of pain and discomfort. The training of the horse should therefore always be a step by step process and as the horse develops difficulties are increased. Oliveira (2005) suggested that high demands can be placed on the horse but to be successful in the training it is essential to be content with small progress and reward the slightest desired response from the horse. This corresponds with the principles of operant conditioning with negative reinforcement.

Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur elever och lärare upplever de nationella proven i årskurs tre. Vilka tankar och åsikter de har om nationella proven och hur lärares tankar påverkar deras bedömning av eleverna. Studien tar även upp hur elever upplever proven och vad de har för tankar kring dem. Detta är en kvalitativ studie och det används intervjuer med lärare och en metod vid namn ?walk and talk? med eleverna.
Effektiva lösningsmetoder för Schrödingerekvationen : En jämförelse
In this paper the rate of convergence, speed of execution and symplectic properties of the time-integrators Leap-Frog (LF2), fourth order Runge-Kutta(RK4) and Crank-Nicholson (CN2) have been studied. This was done by solving the one-dimensional model for a particle in a box (Dirichlet-conditions). The results show that RK4 is the fastest in achieving higher tolerances, while CN2 is the fastest in achieving lower tolerances. Fourth order corrections of LF (LF4)and CN (CN4) were also studied, though these showed no improvements overLF2 and CN2. All methods were shown to exhibit symplectic behavior..
