The aim of the present study was to compare two differenttypes of assessment of dysarthria to be able to conclude which methodmight be more suitable for use in research and in clinical practice.Five speech pathologists with extensive experience assessed 20different recordings of individuals with dysarthric speech using twodifferent forms, one more detailed and one designed for a more overallassessment. In the detailed form 30 aspects of Voice and speech wereanalyzed. In the short form 5 overall aspects of Voice and speech wereanalyzed. Six of the recordings were duplicated to serve forassessment intra-judge reliability for each form. The results show thatthere was a high correlation between the two forms and that theymeasures the same types of speech deviations although on differentlevels of details.

What should you as a teacher consider to avoid situations that cause tension? This examination is based on interviews. The persons who have been interviewed are singing students, singing teachers and teachers in the Alexander Technique. The literature and the interviews describe the Alexander Technique as a method that, with support of a teacher of the Alexander Technique, helps you to recreate the balance between the cranium, neck and spine.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to describe by a gender approach what ideas and values are expressed in the novel One Night at Bullar Lake and how they do coincide to a tendency. We also want to discuss authority and class divisions and how these can be connected to the novel and the author. Our final question is to examine in what way the Voice of the female author is represented in the novel. To approach our material we use Yvonne Hirdman?s theories about the construction of sexes and Susan Sniader Lanser?s work about Voices of female authors, as well as Horace Engdahl?s studies about the silent Voice in literature.

Det saknas studier kring hur processen kan se ut när en medarbetare vill lämna sin anställning och på så vis göra en exit från företaget. Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att beskriva och förstå hur exitprocesser på medarbetarens initiativ ser ut på ett kunskapsintensivt företag. Fokus ligger på hur öppen medarbetaren är gentemot sin arbetsgivare gällande sin vilja att lämna företaget. Vi gör en kvalitativ fallstudie bestående av fem djupintervjuer med tidigare medarbetare och deras närmsta chefer på vårt fallföretag. Uppsatsen är explorativ ansats, då tidigare studier inom området saknas.

Voice-over-IP (VoIP) är en samling teknologier för transport av digitaliserat tal över IP-nätverk. Den mest kända applikationen för VoIP-teknik är internettelefoni. Processorer och gränssnittskretsar som kan realisera ett VoIP-system har utvärderats för användning i produkter med låga produktionsvolymer spridda över flera år. Komponentkostnad, utvecklingskostnad och även hur länge komponenterna kommer att tillverkas är viktiga faktorer att ta hänsyn till. Resultatet av studien är att generella signalprocessorer av den nya generationen, med arkitekturförbättringar som ger mer microcontrolleregenskaper, är de bästa kandidaterna.

The purpose of this study is to look into if the pedagogues who participate in this study treat children differently depending on their sex. The purpose was then divided in three research questions which were: Attention: How much verbal attention and eye contact with the pedagogue are girls/boys getting? Choice of words: Are there any differences in the choice of words the pedagogues are using against girls/boys? Address: How does the pedagogue address girls/boys, are there any differences? The tone of the Voice and how the pedagogue address girls/boys belongs in this category. The study was observed with video camera in four different circle time situations, two circle times for each preschool. Data were then analyzed with an observation schedule based on the three research questions.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om Feldenkrais-metoden kan vara till hjälp i sångutövande, och hur man kan använda Feldenkrais-metoden i sångundervisning. Jag har valt att använda mig av en kvalitativ undersökning där jag utgått från litteratur, en intervju samt deltagande observation ur ett emiskt/etiskt perspektiv. Som sångare eller utövare av något musikaliskt instrument är det av stor vikt att man är medveten om, och tar hand om sin kropp, för att kunna prestera på topp och hålla i längden. Feldenkrais metoden kan i detta fall fungera som en nyckel till att finna lätthet i rörelse och andning. Man bör dock belysa att det finns många andra metoder att nå kroppsligt välbefinnande på, och att det är upp till individen att känna vad som passar bäst.The aim of this thesis is to examine if the Feldenkrais- method can be of help in singing practise, and how you can use the method in Voice teaching.

För att undersöka frågeställningarna valdes en kvalitativ metod inspirerad av Hutchins tankar på hur kognition bör studeras i dess naturliga kontext (?cognition in the wild") realistisk soldatsimulator och undersökningsdeltagarna rekryterades från ett community som ofta spelar sagda spel. På så sätt eftersträvades det att studien genomfördes i sin ?vilda? kontext där röstchattandet blir en kombination av uppstyrt problemlösande och socialt småprat.

J.O. Mallander?s Extended Play (1968) is a sound recording, a readymade, of the counting of votes in two presidential elections in Finland, during 1962 and 1968. A Voice repeats monotonously: ?Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen?? Although the Finnish president Urho Kekkonen represents, almost personifies, the politics of the post World War II period in Finland, Extended Play does not explicitly address the political. Rather, as this essay argues, it engages in the discourses of power and politics by providing a temporalization of its fixedness, or what Jacques Derrida terms the proper.Extended Play is, in parallel with Derrida?s critique of western metaphysics, a deconstruction in sound that challenges the state ideologies conveyed in the process of the counting of votes, where the presuppositions of the presence of the Voice characterizes the ambiguities of power that Kekkonen?s politics of neutrality represent.Mallander?s readymade emerges as a double of the game theory strategies of the Cold War, a mimetic surplus of the administrative control mechanisms of sound recording.

Achievements within the fields of computer- and telecommunication technology have led to a revolution when it comes to managing information. These achievements have made it possible to offer new services in healthcare, especially in telemedicine. New technology has become a complement to traditional care, thus partly compensating for insufficient time and resources. Telephone Linked Care (TLC) is a telecommunication technology that enables automated dialog counselling and monitoring of patients in their homes. During the last two decades numerous randomized controlled studies with TLC have demonstrated improvement among outpatients with chronic and health behaviour disorders.

Vocal technique and interpretation are the key elements of Voice training. Thepurpose of this article is to investigate what vocal technique and interpretation meanto teachers and students and how they would describe the relationship between thetwo. The questions at issue, intended to be answered in this article, are the following:What is the relationship between vocal technique and interpretation? How should theteaching be structured for the students to experience progress on the musical plane?What role does the teacher have in the musical development of the student?This is a qualitative survey and the methods of investigation are semi-structuredinterviews and classroom observations. Presented in the article are a number ofresearchers and writers whose thoughts on the subjects have gained great importanceto vocal teachers and students, as well as leading the research on the Voice and itsfunctions forward to higher grounds.

Syftet med denna studie är att få fördjupade kunskaper om hur sångpedagoger med hjälp av kommunikativa resurser hanterar sin sångundervisning. I bakgrundskapitlet presenteras forskning inom områdena kommunikation genom kroppsliga resurser, elevers tillägnande och förhållande till kunskap samt lärares val av undervisningsinnehåll. Vidare presenteras multimodalitet och designteori som teoretiska utgångspunkter.Undersökningen är genomförd med hjälp av stimulated recall interview och videoinspelningar. Fyra sångpedagoger som undervisar på högstadie- och gymnasienivå deltar i undersökningen. Sånglektioner har videoinspelats och sångpedagogerna har intervjuats.

Swedish law (SOL 2001:45, LVU 1990:52) has gone through several changes to promote participation. The law also includes that young people should be able to participate even during a placement at youth detentions.  The aim of this study is to describe how young people at youth detentions are participated in their treatment plans. The questions of the study were: How and where are the young opinions produced in their treatment plans; how did the opinions change during the time in detention; and how have the opinions been considered at youth detentions? Participation is a wide concept with different meanings. The meaning of participation in this study is that youth have been listened to and that their opinions have been paid attention to.

This bachelor thesis is a literature study of the possibility to analyze and modify speech signals and will act as a pilotstudy for future theses in speaker verification.The thesis deals with the Voice anatomy and physiology, synthesizer history and the various methods available when theVoice is used as a biometric method.A search and evaluation of existing programs have been conducted to determine the relevance of the attacks on theparameters used for speaker verification.
