Bakgrund: Migrationen ökar över hela världen. Sverige har, i likhet med andra länder, förvandlats från ett relativt homogent till ett multikulturellt samhälle. Varje kultur har sin syn på hälsa och sjukdom. Vårdpersonal uppger att de upplever stora svårigheter i mötet med patienter från andra kulturer. Syfte: Denna studies syfte var att belysa hur sjuksköterskor och sjuksköterskestudenter upplever mötet med patienter från andra kulturer.

In this essay I analyze the meaning of the concepts home and at home and the feeling of coming home. What is a home and what different interpretations are there regarding the concepts of home and being at home? What kinds of feelings are aroused by coming home? The world we live in offers great opportunities to travel, which in itself creates a perspective on the meanings of the concepts. The world we live in also forces people to move from their homes, families and countries due to various reasons, which creates various problems and a certain urgency concerning the concepts. I describe basic terms concerning the concepts, both regarding concrete definitions and more abstract notions, and then compare them with my own reflections.         Based on my writing project Coming home I discuss these questions in various ways.

Bakgrunden beskriver att det i samhället finns en stereotyp av hur människor med schizofreni är. Studien behandlar begreppen kommunikation, livsvärld, sjukdomslidande och subjektiv kropp. Tidigare studier har visat att personer som lever med schizofreni kan ha problem i det sociala samspelet. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur livsvärlden upplevs av en person med schizofreni. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ litteraturstudie på en självbiografisk bok, skriven av en person som lever med schizofreni.

Diabetes typ 2 är en av vår tids stora folksjukdomar som förväntas öka kraftigt de kommande åren. Livsstilsförändringar och egenvård är grunden i behandlingen och sjuksköterskors uppgifter är att utbilda, stödja och motivera patienterna. Syftet var att beskriva patienters och sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av sjuksköterskans hälsofrämjande roll vid diabetes typ 2. Metoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturstudie inkluderande åtta vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna analyserades med innehållsanalys.

AbstractIn Östhammar a change has been noticed in the statistics regarding incoming reports, appraisals and investigations concerning a suspicion that a child or youth may be harmed.There are some earlier reaserch made concerning the sorting process that takes place when a report is made. In Östhammar the social workers have been interested in finding out what the main reasons are for not opening an investigation. It has also been some research from the ?sociology of childhood perspective? on how childhood is being constructed and how children are positioned in the investigative texts. From a social constructionist perspective and by using both a quantitative and a qualitative research, I have examined all the reports that have not led to an investigation from the first quarter of 2011 in Östhammar. This to find out the main explanations for not investigating and how children are positioned in such appraisals.It has been shown that most appraisals closed either because of the situation which led to the declaration no longer exists, to another input already exists, the problem is not seen as  serious or that it was felt that the parents are capable of giving the support they need. I have discovered that the childs voice is missing in most of the report investigations. I have not found any explanations to why one has chosen not to speak with the child, but there may be explanations such as limited time, limited knowledge or a will to spare the child the discomfort..

Det framkommer i bakgrunden att årligen drabbas cirka 30 000 människor av stroke och en tredjedel av dessa får afasi. Kommunikativt samspel är basen för ömsesidig förståelse inom vården och det är detta samspel afasidrabbade har svårt att få ta del av. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur patienter med afasi upplever sin situation i vården. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ litteraturstudie och baserades på skönlitterära böcker författade av personer som har överlevt stroke och drabbats av afasi. Analysen genomfördes enligt Graneheim och Lundmans tolkning av innehållsanalys.

The child perspective is a complex area primarily because of its many ways of interpretation but also because children are considered to be less competent than adults. Our hypothesis was that adults in court-proceedings make decisions in the child?s place. The aim of this study was to investigate the judicial meaning of the child perspective in ?Socialtjänstlagen? (SoL) and ?lag om särskilda bestämmelser om vård av unga? (LVU).

The purpose of this study was to, by using thematic analysis, investigate how psychologists experience and are affected by treating sexually assaulted individuals, if and how they use different coping strategies to maintain their own wellbeing and how they are affected by the organization. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight psychologists working in a clinic dedicated for patients with history of sexual assault. The analysis identified one general theme and four themes. The general theme Consciousness and active choices minted the other themes. Participants' awareness of their own and colleagues? health supplied conditions for inner reflection, which along with concern for potential negative effects resulted in active choices for mental health and work environment.

In this paper I'm trying to trace, analyze and emphasize Kathy Acker?s Great Expectations and Alison Knowles?s The Big Book in regard to the books in/finite im/possibilities. I analyze them through historical changes in the books format and structure, especially ones proposed by Mallarmé, Duchamp and Fluxus. To analyze the texts more closely attention is directed to how Acker and Knowles challenge the conventional narrative, in regard to the body and language/voice and sound. I give specific emphasizes to thoughts posted by écriture féminine, while also adding Mara Lee?s temporalities in regard to body resistance and time.

ABSTRACTBackground: People with colorectal cancer undergoing rectum amputation get a permanent colostomy, which affects the social life. It may be valuable for health care what these people experience living with colostomy in order to provide the greatest possible support. Objective: The aim of this study is to describe how people who received a colostomy experience their daily lives and the support they have received from the health services.Method: Qualitative interview study with six people, with a descriptive phenomenological approach.Results: The analysis of the interviews about how it's like to live with a colostomy resulted in three themes: 1) Living with a colostomy gives an uncertainty that affect the social life, 2) Physical and psychological impact of getting a colostomy and 3) Support for health care and relatives.Conclusion: Subjects had a positive attitude towards life, which contributed to that they could adjust to living with a colostomy and feel a meaningfulness of life. The study shows that all the interviewed people overall were satisfied with the information provided by the healthcare personnel. It was good with both oral and written information and very appreciated with repeated information. One aspect that could be improved was the information given aboute the closure of anus during surgery and the following complications.

Bakgrund: Att anhöriga till närstående med svår sjukdom upplever ett behov av stöd visar många studier på. För att på bästa sätt kunna lämna detta stöd är det viktigt att ta reda på hur de anhöriga upplever erhållet stöd. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva anhörigas upplevelse av stöd i samband med närståendes svåra sjukdom. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie baserad på granskning av artiklar. Studien är genomförd med en kvalitativ ansats.

Sammanfattning: Många människor dör på en institution av något slag. Dessa människor har rätt att förvänta sig bästa möjliga välbefinnande under den sista tiden av sitt liv. För vårdaren som arbetar inom den palliativa vården ställer detta stora krav. Studiens syfte var att belysa de kvaliteter hos vårdaren som kan medföra välbefinnande för patienten i den palliativa vården. Metoden som användes var litteraturstudie.

Demens är en allmän benämning på olika sjukdomstillstånd i hjärnan. Några symtom vid svår demens är minnesstörning, oförmåga att tala, oro och aggressivitet. Musik är en naturlig ingrediens i livet. Studier visar att svårt dementa personer med ett oroligt och aggressivt beteende lugnar ner sig signifikant med hjälp av musik. Syftet med studien var att beskriva musikens positiva effekter i omvårdnaden för personer med svår demens.

Hälsa är ett begrepp som har avsaknad av en bestämd definition. Det finns flertalet erkända definitioner såsom WHO:s men det finns även de definitioner som skapats av den enskilda individen. De flesta definitioner som finns kring och om hälsa har sitt ursprung i den fysiska aktivitetens värld, än dock menar flera personer att om hälsa enbart skall ses som god utifrån den fysiska aktiviteten så blir begreppet hälsa inte särskilt innehållsrikt. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur lärarna ser på begreppet hälsa. Enligt bakgrund och tidigare forskning så är hälsa ett personligt och svårdefinierat begrepp, vilket de sex lärare som intervjuades i denna kvalitativa studie bekräftade.
