 The aim of this two-years master?s thesis is to examine the role of the body and the importance of nonverbal communication in the library workplace and to explore the possibility of becoming more nonverbally skilled. For this purpose a course was developed and presented to nine librarians in a public library in the vicinity of Stockholm in February, 2011. Qualitative interviews with the librarians were conducted after the course.Important theories for this work were Annemaree Lloyd?s thoughts on corporeality, Erving Goffman?s dramaturgical sociology and John Dewey?s learning by doing.

Clinical signs of hypocalcaemia in dairy cows are easily recognized, and a rapid response to treatment generally confirms the diagnosis in the field. However, clinical signs of other disorders in cows, such as toxemia, calving paralysis, or muscoskeletal injury, may mimic those associated with hypocalcaemia. Therefore, making a diagnosis of hypocalcaemia on the basis of clinical signs alone may be difficult. In ambulatory veterinary practices, cow-side tests are useful to make the diagnosis and prognosis easier. Kruuse?s Kalcium Test is a cow-side test based on the principle that calcium ions are necessary for coagulation of blood, and that chelation with EDTA prevent coagulation.

In a phonological assessment, the aim is to obtain systematic and reliable data of a child's speech output, which can then serve as a basis for a decision on an appropriate intervention (Wolk & Meisler, 1998). Whether phonological assessment should be derived from an analysis of picture-naming or a conversation with the child, and whether the two methods for elicitation generate equivalent results, has been debated among clinicians and researchers for an extended time (Masterson, Bernhardt & Hofheintz, 2005).The aim of the present study was to compare two methods of speech elicitation for phonological assessment: spontaneous conversation and picture-naming, respectively. In the study, the procedures have been used when assessing children with phonological disorders as well as children with typical language development. The results are presented using two levels of phonological analysis; degree of phonological impairment, in terms of percentage of phonemes correct (PPC), and type of phonological impairment, in terms of phonological simplification processes. Eighteen (18) children participated in the study, nine (9) with phonological impairment (age 3;10 ? 5;11), and nine with typical phonologic development (age 3;2 ? 4;6).

It focuses on how the children actively participate in the process of shaping family life and their own childhoods in the context of family change.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding of the diagnoses ADHD and DAMP within different professional categories in the educational system, how it is being addressed and how this affect their work with children diagnosed with ADHD or DAMP. We also wanted to shed some light on the debate between Kärfve and Gillberg, about whether the diagnoses of ADHD and DAMP are social constructed problems or biological and genetic disorders. More specifically, our study was of a qualitative nature and consisted of interviews with seven persons working in six different professions within the educational system. The respondents all worked in school environments but with varied roles and thus varied experience of children with ADHD/DAMP. The interviews and literature studies revealed the complexity of ADHD and DAMP and also the diversity of the debate regarding the diagnoses.

Sverige har många olika kliniker och institutioner som behandlar problem med ätstörningar och behandlingsformerna inom dessa är mycket varierande. Många av dem har lagt fokus på att ge sina patienter individanpassade resurser och ökad kunskap för att utifrån detta lära sig att ta eget ansvar för sitt tillfrisknande. Syftet med denna undersökning är att se på vilket sätt lärprocesser utvecklats och vilken ny personlig kunskap som påverkat tillfrisknandet till ett hälsosammare liv. Undersökningen har inspirerats av en narrativ ansats och metoden som använts är personlig intervju samt intervju via e-post och brev. Genom MHE Kliniken i Mora skickades brev till, sammanlagt, 20 personer som tidigare haft problem med ätstörningar men som nu anses friska efter professionella kriterier.

Tidigt insatta interventioner hos personer med nydebuterad psykos kan hindra ett ogynnsamt sjukdomsförlopp men forskning av nyinsjuknade genererar sällan kunskap gällande omvårdnad. Patienters symptombild med starka vanföreställningar och oro komplicerar ofta försök att interagera och en gynnsam vårdrelation kan vara svår att utveckla i och med patienternas speciella tillstånd.Syfte: Att beskriva hur personalen kan skapa en vårdprocessfrämjande relation med personen som drabbats av nydebuterad psykos på en slutenvårdsavdelning.Metod: Systematisk litteraturöversikt inkluderat femton artiklar med kvalitativt perspektiv för att besvara syftet. Data har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ metasummering.Resultat: Resultatet antyder på fördelar med att skapa tillit på ett tidigt stadium med hjälp av vårdrelationen.

The licensed veterinary nurse is habitually the one who first meets the clients at the clinic. Therefore it is particularly important for the licensed veterinary nurse at the clinic to offer high-quality customer service. The object of this study was to understand and elucidate how the pet owners experience the encounter with the licensed veterinary nurse at different stages in their contact with the clinic.

The main focus is on Kane?s second play, Phaedra?s Love, first performed in 1996. Background: Patients with cervical spinal cord injuries are often dependent on a mechanical ventilator due to the damage on the innervation to breathing musculature. During rehabilitation they have to be trained to regain own breathing. This unweaning process may give respiratory complications, which are main causes to morbidity and death. These respiratory complications are traditionally treated in an intensive care unit (ICU), which means that the patients have to return back to these emergency units.Aim: To investigate number, length and causes of returns to intensive care units and the length of the weaning process. Further, to compare if a multidisciplinary approach to the weaning process may reduce ICU returns and to shorten the weaning process.
