Syncore Technologies har tagit fram en digital telemetri mottagare som använder sig av USBperiferi anordning som ska kunna etablera oavbruten kommunikation mot sin värddator.Den tidigare designen av USB applikationen till digitala mottagaren är utvecklat av ett annatföretag. Problemet med den designen är att den kan stanna av under överföringen. Ett krav förden nya designen av USB gränssnittet är att den ska kunna etablera ett konstant data flödeutan att under en längre tid stanna av mitt under överföringen. Syftet med detta arbete är attordna en stabil överföring mellan mottagare och dator. Gruppen har valt att användanuvarande kretsuppsättning och utveckla egen mjukvara.

We have investigated the visual representation of men and women in Aftonbladet?s weight site. We have made a calculation of how many of the women and the men who were portrayed smiling/ not smiling, active/passive, looking into the camera/looking away from the camera and from which camera angle the picture is taken. We also kept statistic on the gender representation of the authors of the articles.Our investigation shows that Aftonbladet?s weight site has a distinct overrepresentation of women on their pictures, but also in terms of the authors of the articles.

We wanted to know how the subject HIV/AIDS was handled in the Indian newspaper The Hindu, which is written in English, during a period of 16 days (30 October-14 November) in 2005 compared to the corresponding period during 2007. Because we liked to study what kind of differences there were in the reporting between these two years. In addition we also wanted to learn how people living with HIV and AIDS are represented in pictures and text. To find out this was the purpose with this investigation.The study is made from the theory of stigma, semiotics and from a professional model of the normative theory. The articles about HIV/AIDS were quantitatively analyzed with help of a schedule of codes and we performed a qualitative analysis on several articles, four from 2005 and four from 2007.

Detta examensarbete är utfört i samarbete med System Andersson AB. Uppgiften var att undersöka huruvida det nuvarande verkstadssystemet, som i dagsläget är en Windowsapplikationen, skulle fungera som en webbapplikation. Webbapplikationen skulle bestå av ett antal begränsade funktioner som var instämpling/utstämpling, fungera som helskärm utan ramar från webbläsare, skapa rapporter samt fungera med pekskärm.Resultatet blev en väl fungerande webbapplikation där alla funktioner fungerar med undantag för skapandet av rapporter vilket inte stödes av utvecklingsverktyget.Rapporten ger den teoretiska bakgrunden och beskriver utvecklingen av webbapplikationen med bl.a. val av olika utvecklingsverktyg. What?s challengingabout Lean in foundation projects is to embrace a long-term perspective and invest insolutions that are profitable in the longer term, instead of solve problems by onlytreating the symptoms.A holistic perspective is crucial in order to truly understand Lean.

Image indexing research today is either conducted on a visual attribute level or on a higher semantic level, forming a semantic gap between the two. There is much to gain if research progress from the two fields is combined. Image retrieval using access points in both visual and semantic significations could improve retrieval and bridge the gap. In social media today, images are often the primary communication agent and the number of images on the web is increasing in an uncontrolled way. New and efficient ways to index and retrieve the images are needed.The purpose of this study is to examine if emotions could be a semantic access point for image retrieval and if folksonomy indexing is useful when searching for images that represent emotions.

EVA, Equine Viral Arteritis, was diagnosed for the first time in 1953 in USA. The disease gained international interest in 1984, when there were several outbreaks of abortion at Thoroughbred studs in USA. EAV, Equine Arteritis Virus, is an RNA virus in the Arteriviridae family. There is only one serotype of EAV but several strains and the strains have different virulence. EAV is transmitted in two different ways: by aerosols, or by venereal transmission.

Jag har i det här arbetet gjort en analys av skillnaden mellan analog och digital summering avljudspår. Analyserna gjordes med avseende på frekvensspektrum, transientrespons och fasdifferens.Det gjordes genom att jag skrev och spelade in två låtar att använda till analyserna, mixade dessaoch körde ut till 24 separata ljudspår per låt. De summerades sedan på tre olika mixerbord och i treolika mjukvaror, för att sedan med Adobe Audition analysera hur frekvensspektrum,transientrespons och fasdifferens ändrats. Därefter gjordes genomsnitt för de analoga och de digitalasummeringarna för att se om det fanns några skillnader dem emellan. Även om det fanns gott omskillnader mellan mixerborden så var fasdifferenser det enda som var genomgående för alla analogasummeringar mot de digitala..

The purpose of the project was to make a system that could extract data from a mobile eye tracker and make it comparable with data from visual stimuli. The produced system was programmed in Java and provided all the necessary parts that were required to achieve the purpose. This provides a foundation for further research to determine whether the eye tracker is sufficiently accurate to diagnose Parkinson?s disease..

Previsualisation är en arbetsprocess som i ett tidigt stadie ger oss preliminära versioner av bilder eller sekvenser. Den är till för att kunna uppskatta produktionskraven, visualisera ideér och en gemensam vision. En teknisk previsualisation är en mer specifik term där teknisk exakthet är avgörande. En teknisk previs kan skapas i programmet FrameForge Pré-viz Studio som denna text redogör för. Previsualisationen som beskrivs i denna text lägger grund för diskussioner kring hur den kan användas på en filminspelning.

Den senaste femårsperioden har ett par mycket kraftiga stormar drabbat skogsbruket i Sydsverige. Detta har medfört såväl fördärvade livsverk, ekonomiska förluster och en stor mängd merarbete för drabbade skogsägare. Ändå verkar inte skogsfastighetsmarknaden ha tagit så stor skada som det först kunde vara rimligt att anta. En del av den positiva prisutvecklingen på skogsfastighetsmarknaden beror sannolikt på externa faktorer som påverkat spekulanternas tilltro till den framtida fastighets- och virkesmarknaden.Arbetet är baserat på litteraturstudier tillsammans med bearbetning av försäljningsdata från LRF-Konsult i Kalmar län för 256 skogsfastighetsöverlåtelser som LRF-Konsult har hanterat under perioden 2005-2006, samt 74 telefonintervjuer med dessa säljare till dessa fastigheter.Trots motgångarna med stormar och barkborrar så har fastighetsmarknaden i området klarat sig bra under perioden 2005-2009. Skogsfastigheter i Kalmar län har under perioden varit klart lönsammare än att investera i de 30 mest omsatta aktierna på OMX Stockholmsbörsen.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.

The Swedish forestry aims primarily maximize production and economical wins. However, especially urban forests have great qualities as space for recreation and children?s play, which means that other goals should lead the forests management. The Teleborg forest is a wooded area in Växjö, surrounded by urban dwellings, schools, nurseries etc. A great part of the forest was wind felled during the storm Gudrun in 2005 which changed the forest, earlier dominated by spruce, dramatically.

The Kverneland Ecomat and The Ecomat Seeder has been tested in three different field studies. All the studies were conducted on soils with different clay content during 2005 in Säby outside Uppsala. In one of the trial spring ploughing with the Ecomat and spring ploughing and seeding with Ecomat Seeder were compared with conventional autumn mouldboard ploughing and spring mouldboard ploughing to conventional depth (22-23 cm). In this study the quality of the seedbed, the number of emerged plants and weeds, the pentration resistance and the yield were examined. Shallow spring ploughing (10 cm) with the Kverneland Ecomat has shown to be a good alternative to conventional autumn ploughing when growing spring crops. During the season 2005 tilling with the Ecomat resulted in a higher yield than conventional ploughing. In 2002-2005 the average yield for shallow spring ploughing was 4 percent higher than after conventional autumn mouldboard ploughing and 10 percent higher than after spring mouldboard ploughing to conventional depth (22-23 cm). In the other two studies, ploughing to different depth in the autumn with the Ecomat was compared with conventional mouldboard ploughing and stubble discing.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate if a dynamic investment strategy on the Swedish asset market can accomplish better returns then a static investment strategy. The dynamic investment strategy is created by incorporating business cycle predictors and firm-level variables to predict future stock returns. The predictive regression is calculated wih 60 months of observation (1999 01-2005 12) and is then used to estimate future returns for 23 months in the period 2004 01 -2005 11. The structure of the regression, with linear functions of ? and ?, goes back to Shanken (1990) and Avramov and Chordia (2005) has had success with the variables chosen.
