Bakgrund: Den vanligaste faktorn till att människor söker vård idag är på grund av smärta. Sjuksköterskan har en viktig roll genom att kunna tillämpa de omvårdnadsåtgärder som krävs vid ett smärttillstånd på ett korrekt sätt. Syfte: Litteraturstudiens syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskans tillämpning av omvårdnadsåtgärder vid smärta hos vuxna individer. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes där kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar granskades. Analys gjordes av sjutton artiklar.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder. It affects muscles and connective tissue. It's a very complex disorder that has no adequate treatment or cure. The research has progressed but there are still some questions to be answered. Quality of life for these patients is decreased and leads to suffering.

The past and ongoing structural change in Swedish agriculture has led to an increasing number of large-scale farms. The biological factors associated with large-scale farming operations may cause increasing variability, risk and reduced yields due to sub-optimal timing and management of field operations. The theory of economies of scale suggests that largescale production may benefit from lower costs due to scale efficiencies. Thus, large-scale farms may face cost reductions in terms of long term inputs factors, e.g. agricultural machinery.

Subjektivt välbefinnande är en del av den positiva psykologin och utgår ifrån människors subjektiva bedömning av hur nöjda de är med sitt liv. Forskning inom området har visat att god livskvalitet har betydelse för högre grad subjektivt välbefinnande och andra studier relaterar till betydelsen av bra självkänsla. Studien undersökte hur gymnasieelevers kön, självkänsla och livskvalitet står i relation till subjektiva välbefinnandet. 92 elever deltog, varav 44 var män. Enkäten bestod av The PANAS scale, Satisfaction With Life Scale, The Self-esteem scale och Life Satisfaction Questionnaire.

Långvarig smärta är en upplevelse som är förknippad med emotionella och psykologiska reaktioner och som inte kan mätas objektivt. Det är ett fenomen som ofta orsakar personer sociala och funktionella inskränkningar. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelsen av att leva med långvarig ickemalign smärta. Studien är baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar som publicerades mellan 1996-2006. Artiklarna analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The main purpose of a logotype is to harmonize with a company?s business concept and culture. This study is based on the receiver?s attitudes about three different logotypes - Volvo, Telia and Mcdonald's. It informs the reader about the importance of a logotype as a mean of communication and if the perceptions of the logotype harmonize with the profile of the company.

Syftet med studien var att belysa hur motivation på arbetsplatsen kan betraktas från ett inre och yttre perspektiv, med utgångspunkt från ett antal specifika faktorer såsom samhörighet, kompetens, autonomi och kontroll i tillvaron. 126 respondenter, 99 kvinnor och 27 män besvarade en enkät som bestod av demografiska frågor, frågor kring chefens stöttande av autonomi, frågor om samhörighet, kompetens och arbetsmotivation samt ett testbatteri bestående av IMI scale, Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale och Locus of Control. Studiens resultat visar att chefens stöttande av autonomi påverkade de anställdas inre arbetsmotivation positivt. Studien visar även på att det finns ett svagt samband mellan inre arbetsmotivation och tillfredsställelsen av de anställdas behov av autonomi och samhörighetAbstractThe purpose of this study was to see how work place motivation can be seen from an intrinsic and extrinsic perspective, with starting point from specific factors such as relatedness, competence, autonomy and control. This thesis is about cover illustrations of DVD movies as examples of visual communication. I have studied the cover illustrations of the three movies Gran Torino, Secret Window and As White As Snow. My research assignment has been to find out how the cover illustrations of DVD movies communicate in relation to the story. I have also been looking for what makes a cover illustration interesting and if the interest in itself is individually considered or if there are certain general rules regardless of the observer.To reach a conclusion I have been studying components in advertising pictures, visual communication and how the commercial producers use advertising to communicate with the observer. Semiotics, advertising and comparisons between the cover illustrations have been my method for analyze.I have come to the conclusion that cover illustrations are meticulously produced, and that every single part of them is important for the observers? over all impression and interpretation of the cover illustration.

Digitizing objects and environments from real world has become an important part of creating realistic computer graphics. Through the use of structured lighting and laser time-of-flight measurements the capturing of geometric models is now a common process. The result are visualizations where viewers gain new possibilities for both visual and intellectual experiences. This thesis presents the reconstruction of the Parthenon temple and its environment in Athens, Greece by using a 3D laser-scanning technique. In order to reconstruct a realistic model using 3D scanning techniques there are various phases in which the acquired datasets have to be processed.

Syftet med denna litteratur studie var att undersöka om den preoperativa patient- informationen hade någon effekt på patientens oro, samt om den preoperativa informationen och oron hade någon inverkan på patientens postoperativa smärta. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie. Resultatet var baserat på tio vetenskapliga artiklar av kvantitativ design. Litteratur sökningen gjordes i databaserna PubMed, CINAHL och Cochrane Library Resultatet visade att patienter som fick sjukhusets rutininformation i kombination med specifik preoperativ information hade en statistisk signifikant lägre grad av oro under sjukhusvistelsen. Studien visade även att patienter som fick specifik preoperativ information hade signifikant lägre grad av postoperativ smärta..

Hämning (Behavior Inhibition) tycks utgöra en riskfaktor för olika typer av ångestsyndrom. Child Inhibition Scale (CIS) är ett föräldraformulär som mäter hämning hos barn. Syftet med studien är att normera samt att psykometriskt utpröva den svenska versionen av CIS mot ett föräldraformulär som mäter generell ångest hos barn och ungdomar Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children ? Parent version (MASC-P). I studien ingår skolor från fem områden i Storstockholm.

Due to progresses constantly being made in veterinary medicine combined with increasing knowledge in pet owners, the dogs of today gets older than before. The population of geriatric dogs is there for constantly growing, which makes them an important group of patients on small animal clinics and hospitals. As dogs age, so do their interior organs. Geriatric dogs are prone to several diseases and in this text the author has decided to focus on three of the most common: Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), cancer and osteoarthritis (AO). All of these illnesses are incurable in dogs, but it is important to remember that they are still treatable.

The purpose of this thesis is to see how small differences in a store can affect the customer behavior. The changes consist of auditory and visual sensory cues. Since many companies today makes a lot of changes in their styling element, but without knowing how it really affects the customer behavior we thought it would be interesting to see by doing an experiment at IKEA. The study is therefore based on a quantitative research method, where theories have been described and from which hypotheses have been derived to test the theories. The experience took place at IKEA during two weeks where 5732 observations were made.The result from the experiment is that the sensory cue sight makes individuals spend more time in the environment but not creating attention.

BAKGRUND: En av våra snabbast växande folksjukdomar i dagens samhälle är demens. Individer med demenssjukdom besitter olika hinder därav bl.a. kognitiv påverkan eller kognitiv svikt, vilket i sig medför svårigheter av kommunikationsart. Detta medför vidare problematik kring identifieringen av smärtsymtom. SYFTE: Att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor bedömer smärta hos äldre personer med en diagnostiserad demenssjukdom.

During the timber floating era, most of Sweden?s watercourses were altered. This decreased the amount of available spawning habitats for salmonids, and hence had a negative effect on the riverine brown trout (Salmo trutta) populations. Reconstruction of spawning grounds is today a common measure in restoration of altered streams in Sweden. However, very little evaluation of the effectiveness of these reconstructed spawning grounds exists.
