The aim of the thesis is to investigate to what extent the pedagogy process has been affected by the close collaboration between librarians and teachers when it comes to education on the information search process. The thesis shows that the librarian is seen as an acting intermediate for information, and is regarded as a part of the learning process. The issues covered comprise of how students, teachers and librarians perceive that the students becomes information literate, how they perceive that the subject fields are covered, and how information has been transmitted, and how all this has been affected by the fact that the librarian is actually less available in person. Also, the following questions are discussed; how do librarians, teachers and students interact through the homepages of the course and "the landscape of studying"? And in what respect have the old library halls changed into that, which is available 24 hours a day, with different kinds of meeting opportunities where the search of information has been integrated with group projects? The foundation of this study is built on an evaluation of a project comprising of virtual study environment at the University of Linköping.

The municipal forests of Sala cover an area of 6 000 hectares, starting in the vicinity of the city and reaching north. At the same time as residents make abundant use of the areas closest to the community for outdoor activities and recreational purposes, the forest is of great economic value and also worth protecting for environmental reasons. The purpose of this study is to depict the usage of the forests owned by the municipality of Sala, to set forth the common view of the silviculture program implemented by the municipality and to chart the expectations the community has on the forests and forestry of the future in the municipality of Sala. The survey part of this paper consists of the interviews of thirteen individuals representing nine interest groups. As expected the views of these individuals varied widely but some results were expressed by more or less all of them.

The aim of this study is to investigate the public libraries use of their websites in their marketing. Our study is based on the websites of 60 public libraries. The libraries are chosen because of their geographical location in three different provinces? Skåne in the south, Östergötland in the middle and Norrbotten in the north. Detta arbete analyserar och exemplifierar initiativ för att skapa hållbara kollektiva odlingar på landsbygd. Arbetet undersöker hållbarhetsbegreppet och fördjupar sig i frågan om vad hållbara jordbruks- och livsmedelssystem kan vara. Främst studeras alternativa kollektiva odlingsmodeller som strävar efter att sammanföra konsument och producent, framförallt via CSA-kooperativ, Community-Supported-Agriculture. Även begreppet Civic Agriculture, CA, uppmärksammas då det beskriver ett odlingsengagemang som går bortom de enskilda kooperativen. CA innebär ett förhållningssätt och agerande som verkar för lokalt hållbara livsmedels- och jordbrukssystem, och som utgår från den lokala platsens behov och förutsättningar med hänsyn till dess ekologiska- och socioekonomiska kontext där den passiva konsumenten istället blir en aktiv ?matmedborgare?.I arbetet framkommer det att långsiktigt hållbarhetsarbete behöver få utgå från varje enskild människas situation, och baseras på lust.

New business models are needed to meet increased expectations of responsibility and shared value creation. Based on an understanding of the need for new business models a multinational corporation is studied in a local context, where a radically new way of doing business is developed.

Denna rapport behandlar skillnader i bland annat visuell information (som olika djupledtrådar) vilka kan ha betydelse för den visuella upplevelsen och inverkan på till exempel precisionsbedömningar gällande avstånd i både virtuella och verkliga miljöer.Rapporten lyfter fram tre olika presentationstekniker som presenterar visuell information i olika utsträckning. Två av presentationsteknikerna, Desktop och CUBE, presenterar två virtuella miljöer. Den tredje presentationstekniken, Verklig, presenterar en verklig miljö. De tre presentationsteknikerna ställs mot varandra i en undersökning gällande eventuella skillnader i precisionsbedömningar (avståndsbedömningar mellan och på olika objekt). Resultatet visar att det föreligger signifikanta skillnader vad gäller precisionsbedömningar mellan den virtuella presentationstekniken Desktop och Verklig samt mellan den virtuella presentationstekniken CUBE och Verklig.

Informationsflödet är mycket stort inom universitet, högskolor och college runt om i världen och det är svårt både internt och externt att förmedla allt till alla enligt Möller och Ström (2007). Simpson och Parrot (2008) påpekar att det finns 4000 högre utbildnings institutioner i USA som konkurrerar om bidragsgivarnas pengar och för att lyckas med att samla in pengar behövs ett koordinerat tillvägagångssätt och en koordinerad kommunikation. Syftet med detta arbete är att få förståelse för hur ett college arbetar för att integrera och koordinera deras totala kommunikation så att en enhetlig bild av varumärket skapas. För att ta reda detta har jag valt att göra en fallstudie där jag kan få förståelse för komplicerade företeelser och samtidigt bibehålla helheten och det djuptänkta i verkliga händelser. Anledningen till att jag enbart valt ett college att undersöka är på grund av att jag vill få en djupare förståelse för hur komplicerade verkliga händelser går till och samtidigt ha möjligheten att intervjua så många människor inom ett och samma college så att jag kan få en heltäckande bild.
