Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body Vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

This study aims to analyze the risks with building new households between railroads and shore, the focus of the study lays on Öbacka strand in Umeå municipality. The study also investigate if a land use conflict has taken place and how it was handled.The paper is based on different documents that was central for the work of planning the households and some interviews with operators that was highly involved with the planning of the area.The results shows that there is several risks with establishing new household between railroads and shores. Mainly because of the exposure of noise from the railways, though the risk for impact on the living environment for animals were low in this case there is a generally risk that it could get negative effects. It also a very important that the availability to the shore is secured. Planning in this type of area involves a great number of operators can easily cause a conflict due to the different perspectives on how the land should be used in the future, and also because of protecting different interests.

Denna rapport är ett inledande steg mot att förbättra arbetsmiljön för svetsare vid påsvetsning med Uddcomb Metoden i massakokare. Syftet med rapporten är att analysera problemet med värme och dålig luft samt förklara hur och varför problemet uppstår. I arbetet ingår även att ta fram olika lösningar för att slutligen hitta ett komplett system för ventilation och kylning. Den föreslagna lösningen består av ett integrerat kylsystem och ett koncept med mindre fläktar, kallade torpeder, som monteras på arbetsplanen vilka driver ut varm och smutsig luft snabbare ur kokaren. Den föreslagna lösningen utreds även ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv.

Detta examensarbete kommer att behandla utvecklingsprocessen för ett system som kan överföra data från en Vibrationsmätare till en mobiltelefon för analys och presentation av mätvärden. Genom att använda sig av detta system kan fordonsföraren lättare hålla koll på vad han utsätter sig för under en arbetsdag. Denna studie har som syfte att undersöka hur signaler på en akutvårdsavdelning påverkar akutvårdspersonalen idag samt hur en varningssignal för sepsis bör utformas för att passa in i miljön och minska risken för larmtrötthet. I studien har kvalitativa metoder använts i form av observationer på en akutvårdsavdelning samt tre stycken intervjuer. Datamaterialet har sedan analyserats med hjälp av det teoretiska ramverket Distributed Cognition for Teamwork (DiCot). Studien resulterade i en kartläggning över vilka signaler som finns på akutvårdsavdelningen idag, där sepsis skulle klassas som en akut varningssignal och ha högsta prioritet i förhållande till de andra signalerna. Varningssignalen bör i de fall då patienten ligger på ett övervak presenteras så att den når all personal och med säkerhet uppmärksammas. I de fall då vårdlaget befinner sig på platsen när varningen kan uppstå bör larmet istället vara mobilt och enbart presenteras för vårdlaget.

Babies born prematurely are deprived of normal sensorimotor stimulation when placed in an artificial environment, the incubator. The aim of this project was to design a series of products that could promote the baby?s emotional and neurological development, and to facilitate parental bonding. The products designed in this project has a theoretical basis on the research available today on cognitive and emotional development in children born prematurely. They were developed in close cooperation with a group of parents and nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit.Presence is a product collection for developmental care, consisting of a mattress, a figure and a necklace. The mattress has Vibration sensors that transfer the mother?s heart beat and speakers with recorded heartbeat and her voice.

In this bachelor thesis a complete prototype of an industrial Vibration measurement platform has been developed. By measuring a number of variables such as acceleration, temperature and speed conclusions can be drawn on machinery health. The aim is to evaluate hardware and software solutions for a possible future product. Based on a requirement specification a proper hardware design has be developed. The hardware consists of a four-layer PCB with an ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller and about 250 other components. The PCB was designed, assembled, tested and finally housed in a box.

Observationer, möten och litteraturstudier genomfördes för att samla information om Södertälje sjukhus, Locum och byggrelaterade störningar.

Hand-arm Vibrationssyndrom (HAVS) är ett tillstånd som inte är så välkänt trots att det är ett relativt vanligt tillstånd bland flera yrkesgrupper. Ökad kunskap inom området kan vara ett redskap för arbetsterapeuter i mötet med patienter med HAVS. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva den vetenskapliga dokumentationen om hand-arm Vibration syndrome (HAVS). Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie gjordes med sökningar i databaserna AMED, Cinahl och Medline. Nio artiklar valdes till resultatet.
