Sjukvårdspersonals upplevelser av att använda bedömningsinstrument på barn (Pediatric Early Warning Score)

AbstractThe aim of the studie was to investigate if the Pediatric Early Warning Score system, PEWS, is an useful instrument on a children's inpatient ward, regarding the detecting of deterioration in children's ViTal signs. For this, a quantitative descriptive design with qualitative elements was used. Method: Study specific questionnaires were distributed to 86 persons (helpnurses, nurses and doctors). Of these, 36 answered and sent back the surveys. Results: Of 36 responses 25 felt experienced a faster detection of deterioration of ViTal signs in the child.

Lek och lekmiljöer : Förskollärares beskrivning av planerade lekmiljöers betydelse för leken

The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge and a broader understanding for how pre-school teachers describe the importance of planned play environments including in what manner children are given influence. By qualitative interviews with five pre-school teachers from four different units I was able to gather data that shows how the planning process concerning a specific play environment had worked and why it looked as it did. The results show among other things that the pre-school teachers viewed the play environment as a ViTal part of the daily operation and pointed out that it was of ViTal importance that it came from the children?s interests. Depending on how the play environment had been organized and what its purpose was it offered different amounts of affordances..

Kartläggning av poäng enligt Maastricht Vital Exhaustion hos personalen på ett bank- och finansbolag i Stockholm

De senaste tre åren har ca 34000 personer i Sverige varit sjukskrivna för någon typ av stressreaktion, under det sammanfattande diagnosnumret F.34, anpassningsstörningar och svår stress, som i verkligheten kan rymma allt från lättare till mycket svåra tillstånd.Ett av de formulär som används vid arbetslivsrehabilitering är Maastricht ViTal Exhaustion Index. Det används både vid kartläggning och vid värdering av insats. Det består av 23 frågor rörande förekomst av symtom och besvaras enligt 3-gradiga svarsalternativ (Ja=2, Vet ej=1, Nej=0). I en redan identifierad sjuk grupp har det visat sig att höga poäng (=hög stressnivå) på denna skala gav ökad risk för såväl hjärtinfarkt, depression samt stroke.SyfteAtt kartlägga en personalgrupp enligt Maastricht ViTal Exhaustion Index hos personal vid ett bank/finansbolag med kontor i Stockholms innerstad. The thesis examines how language, culture and family structures interrelate and affect the process of migration. ViTal is how women from a different ethnic background integrates during migration and in a dialogue context with us as researchers and native Swedes. The thesis is interdisciplinary and analyzes empirical data through a qualitative method by using the perspectives gender, ethnicity and identity. Background   The patient's rights to self-determine their own health care is described in Swedish legislation and guidelines. However, due to infancy, unconsciousness, severe brain damage or certain diseases, some patients might be unable to make such decisions. Ethically difficult situations do occur, not infrequently associated with culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze how university students, who are not members of a political party, experiencing existing selective and collective incentives for involvement in a political party. Furthermore, the study will highlight incentives which could help the political parties to increase their membership. The study is based on seven interviews and the respondents were selected after conducting a survey of students? political involvement. The interviews were analyzed through the theory of selective and collective incentives. The study shows that the incentives, both selective and collective, for involvement in a political party in general are weak and that the costs in terms of time, money and education are seen as too high.

The aim of this thesis was to describe the services offered to students with dyslexia, and from a service- and quality perspective describe how the consumers of these services experienced the supplied services. Dyslexia refers to certain problems with the written language. With the demand for students in higher education to accumulate much knowledge through reading, this becomes a question of ViTal importance. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, and a case study was conducted. The case study covered 'Student support' at the University of Borås and how dyslectic students at the university experienced the help from 'Student support'.

ATT VÄLJA, VÄLJA OM OCH VÄLJA RÄTT: En kvalitativ studie av vad det är som styr kommuners utformning av öppenvårdsinsatser för ungdomar

The aim with this study was to examine what it is that govern the way that municipalities develop the non-institutional care for youth. An extensive development of non-institutional care for children is a visible trend in municipal social service and probable reasons for this development are, among other things, research that show inadequate results of the institution care and economy. Our main questions at issue were how the municipalities argue the priorities that have been done within their youth care services with regard to the non-institutional care and how they reason considering this? Furthermore we asked why the municipalities have chosen to develop their non-institutional care for youth the way they have and on what grounds they make their choices? This study consists of eight qualitative interviews with politicians and employees in four different municipals along with analysis of relevant documents. We have found that what governs the way that municipalities develop the non-institutional care for youth has to do with that the municipalities found it ViTal to find alternative solutions to the expensive and ineffective institutional care, that they comprehend that the quality of non-institutional care are higher then of the institutional care and that the non- institutional care is seen as more effective with regards to economic results and achieved treatment results.
