System Andersson AB is a company located in Jönköping that works with developing computer systems for the mechanical engineering industry. As of today, when this report is written, the company is working on the development of a new Manufacturing Planning and Control (MPC) system. This new system aims to create not only a user friendly interface but also a modern, stylish interface. To achieve this, the company has decided to work with a, for them, new application framework; Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).System Andersson is well known for developing systems for different kinds of touch screens, this project is no exception. For this new user interface the company wishes to implement different types of Drag&Drop functionality.

In past decades information technology has changed the conditions of organizations, not at least within the industry. Advanced IT systems have become a fact in order to cope with rapid changes in the market and to effectively manage an organization?s knowledge. When organizations became more flexible and customized expectations from customers and stakeholders also become higher. These expectations and guidelines are documented in a company?s management system, which can be designed differently depending on what standards the company chooses to implement.

Husqvarna AB uppmärksammade att det kommer införas nya miljöregler i Kalifornien gällande diffusionsutsläpp. De åkgräsklippare som går under namnet Rider och tillverkas av Husqvarna idag uppfyller ej dessa krav. Dagens bränsletank är tillverkad i plastmaterialet HDPE och avdunstande bränsleångor klättrar lätt igenom tankväggen ut i atmosfären vilket ej är tillåtet enligt de nya reglerna. Vi blev tillfrågade om vi kunde lösa problematiken och ta fram ett system som kontrollerar de avdunstade bränsleångorna och se till att detta system uppfyller de krav som ställs i Kalifornien. Som blivande ingenjörer tyckte vi att detta var ett passande examensarbete med många olika områden involverade som materialkunskap, tillverkningsprocesser, produktutveckling samt inblick i ett större företags arbete. Vi har med detta examensarbete tagit fram ett system som minskar det miljövådliga diffusionsutsläppet med cirka 90 %.

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Tillgång till information är en naturlig och nödvändigkomponent för en väl fungerande ekonomistyrning inom företag. Sociala medier företräder enny våg av informationsflöde i form av ostrukturerad data. Denna ökade mängd ostruktureraddata har kommit att ställa krav på hantering och analys av denna, vilket i sin tur förändrarförutsättningarna för ekonomistyrning inom företag. Företag som kan hantera information påett effektivt sätt kan utveckla strategiska konkurrensfördelar. Dock finns det begränsadkunskap om hur information från ostrukturerad data kan och ska hanteras inom företag.Företag som inte anammar nya tekniker för att hantera och analysera stora mängderostrukturerad data riskerar att gå miste om viktiga konkurrensfördelar.Syfte: Att identifiera, undersöka och analysera hur information från sociala medier påverkarentreprenörsföretags ekonomistyrning.Metod: Undersökningsmetoden utgörs av en avslöjande singel casestudie.

This thesis studies the concept of balance in the management control systems (MCS) of a small Swedish company within the IT-sector. The aim is to evaluate the importance of balance and dynamics in MCS and investigate which factors affect them. The frameworks used are Simons (1994) four levers of control, and the five-factor model for balance and dynamics by Mundy (2010). The small IT company - the object of the case study - has grown extensively in the last years and needs to develop more formal MCS without losing efficiency and creativity in their fast-moving industry. The case study reveals that balancing MCS is important also in smaller companies with less formal MCS.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

Mechanical ventilation is the most common type ofventilation in newly constructed office buildings. Therehas been an interest to utilize natural ventilationinstead of mechanical ventilation among architects andHVAC consultants in recent years. This is due to thesize of mechanical ventilation systems, which arespace consuming. The mechanical ventilation system isalso complex and requires maintenance. Furthermore,the fan uses a considerable amount of energy.

Denna studie syftar till att utifrån ett givet grafikuppdrag undersöka hur man kan gestalta en sjukdomsprocess. Problemet ligger i hur man kan strukturera och visualisera en komplex och stor mängd information så att den blir enkel att förstå samt intresseväckande. Grafiken ska fungera som en bro mellan svårtillgänglig rådata och läsaren, samt underlätta och väcka intresse för denna att ta till sig informationen.Studien är utförd inom ramen för ett grafikuppdrag från Svenska Grafikbyrån. Grafiken ska redogöra för den virusepidemi som drabbade svenska knubbsälar för 25 år sedan, den så kallade säldöden.Studien inleds med insamling av data till grafiken. Vidare utförs en analys på tidigare utförd informationsgrafik som beskriver sjukdomsförlopp.

The aim of the thesis is to analyse and understand resolution, repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement system for package distance. The measurement system for package distance is already in use, no Gage R&R has been performed on the system and before spreading use of the system the quality of the system has to be understood and approved.

Samband mellan chefers konfliktstil och personlighet undersöktes också. De 103 respondenterna som var mellan 25-75 år, 63% män och 37% kvinnor, besvarade en enkät som bestod av demografiska frågoroch arbetsrelaterade frågor om chefskap. Tre test användes; ett personlighetstest, RottersLocus of Control och Thomas-Kihlman?s konfliktstiltest.

AbstractThe purpose with this study was to get knowledge if there are any possible differences in, and correlation between, experienced stress, experienced demands, experienced control and experienced social support in correlation to shiftwork.The study was made at two central hospitals in south of Sweden and had 90 participants (78 women and 12 men) that answered a questionnaire in the current variables. The result in experienced stress showed that there were no differences between shift workers. The results showed a difference between the day- and the nightshift in the correlation between control and stress. The writers speculates that the reason why the nightshift experience high stressvalues with high control can depend on the lack of presence by higher managers, compared with the dayshift. .

In this bachelor thesis, diagnostic methods for one of Siemens stem inlet control valves have been developed. The work has taken place during ten weeks at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB in Finspång. The company produce steam- and gas turbines and also provides service and maintenance. The purpose with this project has been to develop diagnostic methods that oversee the health of the control valves. By using the developed methods you will know when it?s time for maintenance.

Background: Performance measurement as a management control tool has received considerable academic attention. As the number of inter-organisational relationships, such as customer-supplier relationships, increases, there is a new scope for performance measurement as a management control tool. In order for a company to assess the effectiveness of its supplier relationships it has to define, measure and evaluate variables that are critical for the success of the relationship. The role of management control, and thereby of performance measurement, has increasingly been discussed in theory. However, empirical research in this area is still somewhat limited.

Today small metal parts are mass-produced as for example rollers in cylinder bearings. At high velocity cutting the metal is cut with a great force in a scissor-like device. Both precision and repeatability is important to be able to guarantee good quality, but from an economical point of view it is also important to keep a great manufacturing capacity. The part of the process that is most time consuming is when the metal bar, that is about to be cut, is fed to the right position. Therefore it is interesting to examine if the time used for positioning can be reduced.
