Instudering med självtestning leder till bättre retention, jämfört med återupprepad läsning (testeffekten). Studiens syfte var att (i) replikera testeffekten i en ekologiskt Valid miljö (ii) jämföra tyst outtryckt självtestning mot uttryckt vid instudering med en veckas retentionsintervall (iii) undersöka om fokus och engagemang påverkar retentionen av det inlärda materialet. Sjuttiotre elever fick studera en text och sedan göra ett sluttest efter 1-2 minuter och igen efter en vecka. En grupp fick enbart återupprepat läsa materialet i fem faser, en annan läste och fick därefter testa sig skriftligt medan en tredje läste och testade sig tyst för sitt inre. En signifikant skillnad erhölls mellan testning vid instudering mot återupprepad läsning vid de båda sluttesten.

Croatia became an independent country 1991 and has since then strived to reach a democracy level, which can lead to membership of the European Union. The purpose of this essay is on the basis of consolidate democratic perspective to illustrate Croatia?s democratic development.In order to fulfil the aim, I have applied a qualitative text analysis technique. Through analysis of books and documents, data was collected to accommodate a Valid result. I have used consolidated democracy, with its five areas (political, civil, economic, legal and bureaucratic), as my theoretical framework to the data, to provide answers and develop an analysis.The conclusions show that the consolidate democracy in Croatia has developed a lot since the independence, and Croatia is on its good way to turn into a democratic state like other West-European countries.

The creation of value is considered the core purpose and central process of economic exchange. Value creation is now conceptualized as shared by both producers and customers, and value is seen as fundamentally derived and determined in use, the integration and application of resources in a specific context, rather than in exchange, embedded in products and manifested as price. The field of research is abundant with publications but these do not fully further the understanding of value creation and co-creation in a way that is meaningful for theoretical development and decision making in business and marketing practise. Without a thorough understanding of the factors characterising value co-creation, the nature as well as content and locus of co-creation cannot be identified. In that case value co-creation easily becomes a concept without substance. Until now, individual publications on co-creation have focused on few or different aspects, have emphasized the process from either the customer?s or from  the firm?s vantage point, have different theoretical approaches and have ignored the complexity in interactions between actors.The purpose of this essay is to analyse how five fundamental aspects of co-creation of customer value are perceived in contemporary marketing literature. Discussing the different views on co-creation, this essay concludes that thoughthere are evident points of agreement, finding one generally Valid doctrine of predestination or value co-creation is improbable.

The change in course recently taken by the Swedish Armed Forces results in an increased use of equipment, and thereby increased requirements of preventive maintenance. This paper aims to examine the current responsibilities for preventive maintenance in an army unit. The intended effect of this examination is to disclose possible flaws, and to help make routines for preventive maintenance more effective.The questions asked in this paper are;Who, in an army unit, is responsible for the routine maintenance?When is this responsibility Valid?What demands does the technical service have on responsibilities for the routine maintenance?How are these demands met?How ought to be responsible for the routine maintenance?To answer these questions the author has chosen to use a descriptive method to show the current facts. A theorizing method is chosen to, from described facts, clarify the demands of the technical service on routine maintenance.

Arbetets syfte var att utreda reliabilitet och Validitet för en blickregistreringsutrustning, JAZZ?, som finns på FOI i Linköping. Dessutom skulle utredningen klargöra huruvida utrustningen kan användas till att detektera mental arbetsbelastning. Tre olika studier gjordes på 17 försökspersoner. Endast sackader i horisontalled studerades, trots att utrustningen har ett flertal andra mätområden.

The main topic of this thesis is to evaluate the impact on the usability of web pages when using responsive web design, a concept for developing web pages whose design adapts to the screen size being used. This is done by creating a responsive prototype based on an existing web site. A number of usability tests are conducted on the two versions of the site in order to compare the time to complete the tests and to observe the behaviour of the test participants. The tests are conducted on desktop as well as on mobile devices with varying screen size.The number of test participants was relatively low, and so the quantitative result is not statistically Valid. However, the conclusion is that the most effective combination is to use either of the sites on desktop format.

Bakgrund: Test av syreupptag (VO2) kan fungera som en utvärdering av träningen för idrottare. VO2-test kan även nyttjas för att synliggöra anställdas eventuella hälsoproblem inom ett företag. Det finns idag en rad olika stationära och mobila utrustningar som mäter syreupptag (VO2), koldioxidproduktion (VCO2) och minutventilation (VÉ). Ett exempel är Jaeger Oxycon Mobile, bärbar VO2-utrustning, som kan användas i idrottarens eller arbetarens normala arbetsmiljö. Det finns idag inga publicerade studier där Validiteten hos Jaeger Oxycon Mobile har testats.

In this study, we aim to analyze how the terms documentation and pedagogical documentation respectively are portrayed in the curriculum (skolverket 2010) as well as in the curriculum complementary material (skolverket 2012). The analysis is performed by use of critical discourse analysis. We used published research as a theoretical base to analyze the empirical data against. Our aim is to increase the understanding of how the terms documentation and pedagogical documentation are used in the various policy documents and what messages these documents relay concerning the aforementioned terms.We aim to give some answers to the following questions:How to interpret the term documentation in relation to the term pedagogical documentation.How to interpret the ways the terms are promoted in the policy documents. We conclude that the term documentation is vastly more open to interpretation than the term pedagogical documentation. We note that the curriculum exclusively use the term documentation and stress the importance of using a variety of documentation forms.

The European Council agreed in 2008 on a climate and energy package to combat global warming. This package is Valid for each EU member country and means that greenhouse gas emissions must fall by at least 20% and the EU's energy use to 20%, consisting of Renewable Energy in 2020. The Swedish Government has set stringent climate and energy with the intention to set an example for the rest of Europe. For example, renewable energy sources account for at least 50% of energy use and our climate emissions to fall by 40% by 2020. A combination of these goals and a steadily rising oil price has led to an increased demand for wood fuel in the form of such branches and tops.

Purpose: The purpose of this study has been to investigate whether Frennberg & Hanssons earlier study of anomalies still are correct, and if these are Valid for certain sectors. Methodology: In an effort to find seasonal patterns on the Swedish exchange market, we have used the average daily returns. By using these patterns we have created investment strategies which have then been tested over a 10 year period. We also used t-tests to verify our results. Conclusions: We have been able to prove a change in the seasonal patterns that Frennberg & Hansson presented in their study.

 The purpose of my study is to illumine the aesthetic learning process significant in the preschool. Focus has been on allowing educators in different preschools to answer questions Valid the use of aesthetic learning processes. I chose to do my study using an opinion poll and a literature review. The result shows that the preschools use aesthetic learning processes and according to the educator?s aesthetic learning process is a very important tool for education in the preschool.  The notable in this study is that the educators have different views of what aesthetic means. The first view is that you only work with aesthetic subjects.

The high viscosity of barley material makes starch isolation problematical using regular methods established for cereals. An adjusted starch isolation method has been set up for barley, based on fractionation and purification. The focus is on attaining truly representative isolates of six flour samples selected for widely differing characteristics within the research program BarleyFunFood (BFF). Beside establishment of the method, this diploma work aspires to serve the BFF with isolated material of sufficient yield Valid for further starch characterisation. A pre study was conducted evaluating available wet mixing equipment, experimental conditions and mode of procedure.

Ten years ago the public computers with Internet access were introduced in the public libraries. The purpose of the public computers was to give the possibility of searching information. Along with the Internet came also communication media like chat and e-mail. This type of communication was a new function for the libraries and the reactions among the librarians were mixed. It has been a source of big frustration and attempts to block it has not succeeded.

Det verkar dock finnas ett positivt variationssamband mellan betavärde och redovisningskvalitet på Mid Cap-listan.Slutsatser: Analysen förkastar våra förväntade resultat och förutom mätfel diskuterar vi potentiella orsaker som exempelvis att investerare inte tar till sig all information, att den avgörande informationen återfinns i räkenskaperna eller att redovisningen bestäms till stor grad av kapitalägare. Det kan också vara så att mer information inte alltid är positivt..
