Samverkan : En kvalitativ studie om lÀrare och socialsekreterares uppfattning av samverkan och dess betydelse.

 Collaboration is a tool many organizations use to achive a certain goal. In previous research it can be read about both advantages and disadvantages of collaboration and also that a well-functioning collaboration is difficult to achieve. In previous research there is a shortage of scientific researches illustrating the outcome of collaboration. I have chosen to examine the cooperation between the social services and schools of the municipality of VÀxjö. The purpose of this essay is to understand what experiences staff working with children/young people in school and social services have of collaboration between each others organizations.

Lokala styrelser inom grund- och gymnasieskola: Brukarstyrelser och deltagardemokratiska möjligheter och utmaningar: en teoriprövande studie

The question of direct citizen participation in politics and administration is a contestable one. Its proponents claim that it has positive consequences even for the more "traditional", representative democracy, since participation leads to an increased political knowledge and increased political interest, and thus creates a revitalised democracy. Critical voices have however been raised to the validity of this claim. Critics have also pointed out direct participation as problematic, because it leads to problems of political inequality: a difference of political influence between ? on the one hand, the citizens participating directly and those that restrict their political participation to voting, and ? on the one the other hand ? between the institutions, for example schools, that employ, and don?t employ this method of direct citizen influence.In this essay, these two points of criticisms are tested in the context of user-boards in elementary and secondary schools.

Mobbning : En studie om fyra skolors förebyggande arbete mot mobbning

A school should be a safe place for all students. The existence of discrimination, harassment and offensive behavior should according to Swedish school law not exist in the school environment. Since the year 2006, when a law on equal treatment was passed, all the schools in Sweden must have a treatment plan that is revised annually to prevent discrimination, harassment and abusive treatment.In this master thesis, I will examine the equal treatment plan between four different elementary schools in NynÀshamn.The purpose of this paper is to examine how the equal treatment plan exposes the bullying and the types of problems and solutions addressed in the elementary schools equal treatment plans. Based on the purpose, I have formulated two questions:How do the elementary schools in NynÀshamn municipality describe bullying in the equal treatment plan?What kinds of problems and solutions are addressed in the equal treatment plan evaluations?This thesis is based on text analysis and content analysis on the schools equal treatment plans.The study is based on the theories from a norm critical perspective.The conclusion of the study is that all four schools treatment plan see abusive behavior as something serious and preventive.

Skolbiblioteket pÄ friskolorna : en studie av friskolorna i Lunds kommun med fokus pÄ de verksamhetsansvarigas instÀllning

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine the opinion about school libraries among principals at the independent schools in the municipality of Lund. In order to fulfil my purpose I used a qualitative method with an introductory questionnaire, which gave background material to the interviews. All seven principals answered the questionnaire and five of them agreed to participate in an interview. Another two interviews were made with two informants, this material was included in the background material. As theoretical framework I have used literature about the school library development, the role of the principal for development and David V.

"Man ska vara sÄ himla lyckad" En studie av kuratorers erfarenheter gÀllande psykisk ohÀlsa bland unga

The aim of this study was to examine mental illness among adolescents in the age group 13- 18 in the municipality of Lund. We studied the topic based on counselors experiences. There have been several reports in media concerning an increase of mental illness among youth. Therefore we considered this as an interesting issue to examine. This study consists of seven qualitative interviews and one telephone interview with counselors.

Rapportering enligt lex Sarah inom individ-och familjeomsorg : En kvalitativ studie utifrÄn hur socialarbetare resonerar kring rapporteringsskyldigheten.

This study is based on a qualitative study with 8 semi-structured interviews. The aim of thestudy was to describe how social workers in the individual- and family section in socialservices in two different municipalities in Sweden reason about reporting obligations and tounderstand what lex Sarah means in the decisions making to report incongruity or not. Weinterviewed social workers that work in the department of individual- and family section, amunicipality worker who works with state governance with all kinds people in the society.We asked the social workers altered questions about how they handle lex Sarah in their work.Three different topics were identified in our study and became the themes: Description,management and conflicting thoughts. Our analysis is based on two different theories, oneabout the choices a person make being in an organization, the other about how a professionalindividual have altered pressures to handle in their everyday work. By doing a semi-structuredstudy of the social workers opinions, we found out that the description of incongruity was notthe focus just in managing lex Sarah.

Specialpedagogens roll och specialpedagogiska ÄtgÀrder, inom förskolan, i en decentraliserad kommun

(The assignment of an educationalist for special needs education and special needs measures, within pre-school, in a decentralised municipality.) Syftet med mitt arbete Àr att fÄ en inblick i hur organisationen i en decentraliserad kommun Àr uppdelad nÀr det kommer till specialpedagogen och dennes arbete, samt belysa vad som ligger till grund för rektorernas beslut nÀr det gÀller specialpedagogiska ÄtgÀrder och specialpedagogens roll i organisationen kring detta arbete. För att fÄ svar pÄ min frÄgestÀllning om hur specialpedagogiska ÄtgÀrder, inom förskoleverksamhet, har strukturerats i en decentraliserad kommun och vilka konsekvenser det ger för specialpedagogens roll har jag anvÀnt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer. I undersökningen medverkade en omrÄdeschef, tvÄ rektorer och tre specialpedagoger. Resultatet visar att i den decentraliserade kommun dÀr undersökningen genomförts finns det inga specifika metoder, pÄ lokal nivÄ, för att organisera specialpedagogiska ÄtgÀrder.

Traumahantering hos nyanlÀnda flyktingbarn i skolan : Ett krispedagogiskt perspektiv

To this date there are 14 major armed conflicts, four of which are defined as war. Every day several people come to Sweden as asylum  seekers and refugees looking for a residence permit in Sweden. This paper is about the children who receive a residence permit in Sweden and attend Swedish schools. Many of these children have experienced trauma ? damage to the psyche after a traumatic experience.From two qualitative interviews of a principal and a counselor at a school in JÀrfÀlla municipality, and three teachers at the same school, I studied what trauma management at this school looks like.

Vad kostar korttidssjukfrÄnvaron?

Bakgrund och problem: LÄngtidssjukfrÄnvaron har lÀnge varit ett uppmÀrksammat problem och flertalet ÄtgÀrder har satts in för att minska denna. PÄ senare tid har korttidssjukfrÄnvaron dock lyfts fram som ett ytterligare problem och erhÄllit en större uppmÀrksamhet i takt med dess ökning. KorttidssjukfrÄnvaro syns inte i offentlig statistik förrÀn efter den Ättonde dagen och Àr dÀrmed svÄr att studera. LikasÄ kan kostnaden för korttidssjukfrÄnvaron vara svÄr att faststÀlla eftersom korttidssjukfrÄnvaro bestÄr av bÄde direkta- och indirekta kostnader.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie Àr att beskriva och förklara hur stora kostnaderna Àr för den korttidssjukfrÄnvarande socialsekreteraren pÄ en enhet i VÀxjö kommun. UtifrÄn dessa kostnader ska sedan en metodik utformas för att kunna faststÀlla en standardkostnad för vad korttidssjukfrÄnvaro per timme kostar.Metod: Under studiens gÄng har en abduktiv forskningsansats, en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi och en fallstudie som undersökningsdesign nyttjats.

Samverkan mot mobbning : En kvalitativ studie om skolkuratorer och andra professioner som arbetar mot mobbning i skolan

The aim of this study was to examine, in the work against bullying how collaboration between the school counselor and other professions is described by the different professions within the student health team as well as how they describe that the different competencies involved in such teams shapes problem definitions and solutions. The student health (swedish- elevhÀlsoteamet) team of which the study is based on consists of different professions such as school counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, school psychologists and school principles. We have interviewed representatives of all the above mentioned professions with the exception of school psychologists using a qualitative research design. In this study we have chosen to focus on two student health teams from two different primary schools located in a middle-sized municipality in southern Sweden. We have analysed the results using new institutional theory and the terms domain and power. The main conclusion of the study is that school counselors themselves feel they have a specific knowledge regarding bullying but have difficulties in capitalizing on it while collaborating with the other professions in the student health team.

Design och utveckling av IT-verktyg : ger ringar pÄ vattnet i en organisation

This Bachelor Thesis in the area of Computer Science and Work Science describes the process of design and development of an IT-tool between the municipality of Ron-neby and TietoEnator a development and consultancy firm, the Gothenburg office. The thesis focuses mainly on the cooperation between the consultant designer and the local municipal. Through cooperation, the organisation is incorporated into the tool and the tool is incorporated into the organisation. Concepts that are central in this thesis are design, cooperation and tailoring. A question raised is, if distance work and extensive cooperation might be a good way of working in the process of design and development, when the organisation is being incorporated into the tool.

Hisnande historier: frÄn Bellman till Batman. UtvÀrdering av ett lÀs- och skrivfrÀmjande projekt i Ystad under höstterminen 1998.

This study investigates and evaluates a project called "Hisnande historier: frÄn Bellman till Batman". "Hisnande historier" is composed to stimulate childrens literacy and it is directed towards pupils in the fourth class. The project is a co-operation between public librarians and compulsory school representatives in the municipality of Ystad. It contains visits by an author and exercises in reading and writing. We have been following the project during autumn 1998 at two schools in Ystad.

Ekosystemstödjande och multifunktionella vÀxtval i urban miljö : En fallstudie med utgÄngspunkt i Nacka stadsbildning

This study has investigated how urban vegetation can be used in a multifunctional way to support ecosystem services in urban environments. Nacka municipality is in the start-up phase of building what is to become Nacka city. This provides a unique possibility to study and analyse what role the vegetation play in making the city a healthy living environment and how it needs to be adapted in order to be resilient against changing climate conditions and how the effects of those changes can be regulated. The study further investigates how airborne pollution, caused by urbanization processes, can be regulated or reduced by vegetation or species selection. Methods used in this study were a combination of qualitative interviews and literature studies, seeking to answer the questions: Which specific ecosystem functions are needed in the urban environment and which aspects will influence the ecosystems ability to deliver the functions in demand? And which plant species have the right mechanisms needed to deliver those functions? These questions have been studied and analysed in a local based context where the local conditions ands site specific needs of Nacka define criteria for plant selection.

Internetbaserad rekrytering: mÄl, möjligheter och praktiker : En fallstudie av urvalet vid rekryteringen av sommarvikarier i LuleÄ kommun

The purpose of this study is to examine web-based recruitment to short term summer jobs at the SocialServices Department in LuleÄ municipality in Sweden. Recruitment goals, selection options on therecruitment homepage Offentliga Jobb and recruitment practices were analysed in order to reach a deeperunderstanding of the interactions between these three levels in the selection process. Pre-selection throughOffentliga Jobb was a special concern of the study. Different consciousness levels in the selection process areemphasised according to Anthony Giddens' structuration theory. Ten recruiters from different parts of thedepartment were interviewed.

Med eller utan stöd? : Fyra ungdomars berÀttelse om studieavbrott

Föreliggande studie handlar om stödinsatser och studieavbrott ur studieavbrytares perspektiv. Syftet har varit att undersöka om de deltagande ungdomarna upplevde att de fick stöd under gymnasietiden i ett försök att förstÄ varför studieavbrott ÀndÄ sker. Avsikten har vidare varit att beskriva och reflektera över ungdomarnas erfarenheter med förhoppning om att det skall vara till nytta för framtida förebyggande arbete. Studien baseras pÄ kvalitativa intervjuer och har inspirerats av tidigare forskning om studieavbrott, stödinsatser samt karriÀrutvecklingsteorier. Avsikten med intervjuundersökningen har varit att studera studieavbrytarnas skolgÄng under grund- och gymnasietiden för att fÄ en förstÄelse för vilket stöd studieavbrytarna upplever att de fÄtt eller hade önskat att de fick medan de Ànnu befann sig i skolan. Resultatet visar att studieavbrytarna bÀr pÄ olika erfarenheter av skolgÄngen och att tillgÄngen pÄ socialt och pedagogiskt stöd varit bristfÀllig.
