We read different kind of texts every day. We can for example choose to read a book or to watch a film. While we read we can receive and interpret texts. That?s means, for example, that we can have different envisionments about the drama and the film based on it. Based on Langer?s reception theory about ?envisionments?, I?ve wanted to examine and clarify the differences and similarities of envisionments between two texts.

The Picture book - text and image in interaction. A study of Tove Jansson's picturebook: The Book About Moomin, Mymble and Little MyThis study examines Tove Jansson's picture book The Book About Moomin, Mymbleand Little My, to show relationships between text and image in the narration of thestory. This is done through an analysis based on Ulla Rhedins dissertation The picturebook - towards a theory where the conclusion is that the picture book as book mediumcan be divided in three different picture concepts. The various concepts are; the epicpicture book, the expanding text as well as the genuine picture book. This study hasperformed a text and image analysis showing that the image colors, the differentspreads, landscape scenes and characters' placement, et cetera play a role in placingthe picture book in its concept.Tove Jansson used more than text and image to work out the story of theMoomintroll, Mymble and Little My, there are holes in the picture book that have animportant role, which the analysis will show.

Studies show that some pupils with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) can have difficulties in understanding written texts. The present study seeks to examine whether pupils with ASD differ in their reading comprehension of a factual text and a literary text. Another aim of the study is to obtain a picture of the reading habits of high school pupils with ASD, what reading strategies they use, and how they work with texts in Swedish lessons in school.The study uses texts from PISA surveys from 2009 and 2000. The factual text Varmluftsballongen (The Hot-air Balloon) was taken from the try-out for the 2009 survey and the literary text GÄvan (The Gift) was taken from the 2000 PISA survey. To gain some idea of the pupils? reading comprehension of the texts, the present study used the tasks accompanying the texts, with certain changes in the questions about the text on the hot-air balloon.

Ett bekvÀmlighetsurval har anvÀnts och deltagarna har lÀst och lyssnat till olika texter. Efter varje text besvarades en enkÀt. Resultatet visar att utförandet av text och uttryck Àr beroende pÄ om vi ska lÀsa eller lyssna till den. Vidare har ett samband mellan upplevd emotion och upplevd minnesförmÄga noterats.

?Seriously seeking comics? ? ÄmnesbestĂ€mning, klassifikation och indexering av tecknade serier

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how comics, here defined as a combination of text and images, are handled by the libraries in regards to subject analysis, classification and indexing. A comparative approach has been used in this study. First, common practices, methods and theories concerning subject analysis developed for documents consisting of text or images are presented. Then the current systems at two special libraries, specializing in comics and consequently dealing with both text and images, are examined and related to the above mentioned practices, in order to discover differences and similarities.

The aim of the study was to investigate how four pupils in sixth grade use language when writing narrative texts, examined in relation to the typical structure and linguistic features of a narrative text. Another aim was to explore the similarities and differences between texts which received an A or B grade and texts with a D or E grade. The pupils? texts are analysed from a systemic-functional perspective on language and on the basis of the typical structure and language of a narrative text, with the focus on expressions of time, processes, descriptions and nominal groups (cf. Johansson & Sandell Ring 2012).

Multimedia eller inte multimedia, det Àr frÄgan.

Is it possible, and suitable, to use multimedia in classic literature studies at Swedish upper secondary school? What alternatives are there?  Is there any foundation in the curriculum for an expanded conception of text as in multimedia?  Will the conception literacy support use of multimedia in classic literature studies, and in what ways? How do we generally look upon the definition text, is it only printed letters, or something more? To get an answer to the questions we decided to examine a number of theories, Gardner?s theory about the different intelligences, the conception literacy and the expanded text concept. In these three theories we took our starting-point for the following work. The main subjects became two interactive sights on Internet and one CD-ROM, all containing classic literature. Our previous knowledge in this subject field was very meager.  This work has given us an opportunity to discover some of the multimedia that is available, and the result we have come to is that multimedia absolutely belongs in studies of classic literature as well as in other subjects.

AbstractThis work is a pilot study intended to show what an experienced teacher of Swedish in first grade teaches and how she teaches. A further aim is to test methods for the analysis of Aristotle?s forms of knowledge in order to elucidate the teaching of reading and writing. As regards theory, the study proceeds from rhetoric and its doctrine of forms of knowledge according to which the whole in communication consists of episteme, techne and phronesis. The methods involve analysing the content of the communication and analysing speech acts, rhetorical figures and paralinguistic expressions.

KartlÀggning och testning av lÀs- och skrivsvÄrigheter hos vuxna med svenska som andrasprÄk

Denna uppsats behandlar kartlÀggning och testning av lÀs- och skriv-svÄrigheter hos vuxenstuderande som har svenska som andrasprÄk. Arbetet tar sin utgÄngspunkt i den fonologiska förklaringsmodellen av dyslexi/specifika lÀs- och skrivsvÄrigheter, vilken framhÄller att svÄrigheterna med att lÀsa och skriva bottnar i en svaghet i det fonologiska systemet. Om man inte har möjlighet att testa en person pÄ modersmÄlet, vilket annars utgör den mest rÀttvisande metoden för bedömning av lÀs- och skrivsvÄrigheter, kan man enligt vissa forskare ÀndÄ anvÀnda fonologiska tester pÄ majoritetssprÄket, förutsatt att personen vistats i mÄlsprÄkslandet under en tid. Forskare framhÄller ocksÄ vikten av att vid bedömningen vÀga in kringliggande faktorer avseende social och kulturell bakgrund, samt hur situationen kring lÀsning och skrivning hittills sett ut, innefattande lÀs- och skriv-inlÀrningen pÄ modersmÄlet.I denna studie sker, med hjÀlp av kartlÀggningssamtal och tester av den fonologiska förmÄgan, en bedömning av fyra kvinnors lÀs- och skrivsvÄrigheter. Undersökningen visar att det gÄr att fÄ fram en djupare och mer tillförlitlig information om vilka lÀs- och skrivsvÄrigheterna Àr och möjlig orsak till dessa, om man kombinerar fonologiska test med ingÄende kartlÀggningssamtal.

Text och bild i samverkan för att förklara funktioner i teknikinformation

Det finns flera studier som visar att text och bild i samverkan Àr bra för inlÀrningen och förstÄelsen. Men att bara lÀgga till bilder i ett textmaterial eller tvÀrtom, garanterar ingen förbÀttring. Hur kan text och bild samverka frÄn ett kognitionsteoretiskt perspektiv i en produktinformation för att öka förstÄelsen om funktioner i ett komplext system? Det Àr frÄgan jag stÀller mig i denna studie och avgrÀnsar mig till att analysera en broschyr om internsystemet PERFEKT. Broschyren Àr framstÀlld av Tjeders som marknadsför och tillverkar komponenter inom bland annat vÄrd och omsorg.

This project has been about illustration, text and format with illustration as the main communication path.A study has been made of how these three elements interact, particularly how text and format affect the illustrations. The goal has been to create an illustrated story in a form of a book. The story is about the feeling of being alienated from other people and invites the reader to make their own interpretations. The main target audience has been the ones who is interested in illustration and storytelling, no matter of age.Colors has been inspired from animated movies and the natur. Various textures such as wood, fabric and metal for example has been scanned to create a rough feeling.

LÀs mig : Att omarbeta lÀngre texter ur dagstidningen för webben

Most swedish newspapers have a homepage where their news are presented. Existing guidelines describing how to write for the web often recommends you to keep it short and stay objective. But how about longer pieces of content presented in the print version? What will become of reports, interviews and essays as we?ve come to know them as the printed newspaper goes digital?Interviews with representatives of five swedish newspapers shows that the extent to wich content is being published on the web is connected to the overall purpose of the web presence. The fact that many newspapers does not publish longer pieces of text on the web rather seems to be an economic issue, than a matter of good readability.Past studies shows that longer pieces of text may well work on the web, if the reader?s interest is big enough.

KrÄkbegravningen : En studie av musikens eventuella pÄverkan pÄ sprÄkrelaterade lÀrandeprocesser i förskolan

Studien undersöker hur helhetsuppfattningen av en text eventuellt varierar beroende pÄ vilken medieringsform som anvÀnds under arbetet med texten. Talad prosa, rytmisk ramsa och sÄng Àr de tre olika medieringsformerna och dessa har agerat arbetsmetod i var sin grupp med förskolebarn. Resultatet visade att det fanns skillnader mellan medieringsformernas förmÄga att fÄ barnen att lÀra sig texten. Eftersom det Àr skillnad pÄ att lÀra sig en text och att förstÄ en text har studien Àven undersökt om förmÄgan att förstÄ innehÄllet av texten varierar mellan grupperna. Skillnaden kring textförstÄelsen visade sig dock vara svÄrare att definiera..
