En kvalitativ studie av Social Enterprise som fenomen - MotsÀttningar i Social Enterprise bolag bottnar i marknadens bild av socialt företagande
A Social Enterprise is a business that features a mixture of characteristics that originates from the third and private sector. A general conception of Social Enterprises is that they aim to improve social welfare by the use of sustainable business models. The mixture of social and business features has created ambiguity about how to define Social Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to clarify Swedish Social Enterprises as a phenomenon and to examine antagonism that arises from mixing the two different sets of organisational characteristics. This is achieved by conducting a qualitative study of ten Swedish companies that the market considers to be Social Enterprises.
"SÄ lÀnge man kan motivera ett beslut": en vinjettstudie av variation i bedömning om ekonomiskt bistÄnd
The purpose of this study was to examine divergences in assessments of social assistance in one big and one small social welfare office in the municipalities of Malmö. To examine this we used a qualitative method. We held interviews with social workers and their superiors. At the end of the interviews with the social workers we presented two vignettes, describing different cases of first time applications of social assistance. The social workers was asked to assess whether the application should be granted or not, and motivate their decisions.
Den externa redovisningens pÄverkan pÄ kostnaden för lÄnat kapital i svenska privata mindre företag : Har den nÄgon betydelse?
Mindre företag Àr viktiga för den samhÀllsekonomiska utvecklingen och för skapandet av nyaarbetstillfÀllen. LÄn har visat sig vara en viktig finansieringskÀlla för dessa företag, men pÄgrund av informationsasymmetri och högre operationella kostnader har tillgÄngen tillkonkurrenskraftig lÄnefinansiering framhÄllits vara problematisk. Den externa redovisningenkan anvÀndas för att minska informationsasymmetri och reducera detta problem.Redovisningskvalitet, upplevd revisionskvalitet och revisionens utfall utgör delar av denexterna redovisningen, vilka i tidigare studier visat sig pÄverka företags kostnad för lÄnatkapital. Svenska privata mindre företag Àr en grupp av företag som tidigare inte behandlats idetta avseende och syftet med denna studie Àr att undersöka hur dessa företags kostnad förlÄnat kapital pÄverkas av redovisningskvalitet, upplevd revisionskvalitet och revisionensutfall. Med hjÀlp av Ärsredovisningar frÄn ett stickprov om 395 slumpvis utvalda företag ochen regressionsanalys besvaras studiens problemformulering.
Asymmetrier i samtalsmötet mellan handlÀggare och klient
Samtalsmöten Àr en viktig del i mÀnniskors kontakter med myndigheter. De sÀtt som dessa samtalsmöten sker pÄ kan pÄverka den enskildes medverkan, kunskaper och utfall frÄn dessa möten, pÄ olika sÀtt.Studiens syfte Àr att analysera och beskriva hur asymmetrier mellan handlÀggare och klient konstrueras i samtalsmöten om bistÄnd för Àldre och ekonomiskt bistÄnd samt handlÀggarens hantering av dessa.Genom att anvÀnda diskursiv analysmetod analyseras tio audio-inspelade samtalsmöten och den samtalsinteraktion som sker i dessa nÀr det gÀller handlÀggarnas bistÄndsbedömning av sÄ vÀl bistÄnd för Àldre som ekonomiskt bistÄnd.Resultatet visar att det Àr av vikt att handlÀggarna Àr medvetna om de inneboende asymmetrierna i dessa samtalsmöten som kommer av deras institutionella karaktÀr. Detta, dÄ handlÀggaren genom sin hantering av dessa har en stor möjlighet att pÄverka huruvida asymmetrierna förstÀrks i samtalsmötet och hur det i sin tur pÄverkar klienten och deras relation. Resultatet tyder ocksÄ pÄ att handlÀggarens hantering av de olika asymmetrierna som framtrÀdde kan Àventyra rÀttssÀkerheten för klienten.Resultatet lyfter fram betydelsen av att det Àr handlÀggarens medvetenhet eller omedvetenhet om dessa asymmetrier som Àr avgörande för hur de hanteras och vad det fÄr för effekter för klienten. Studien kan anvÀndas för vidare förstÄelse i praktiska sammanhang om vilka kommunikativa asymmetrier som finns mellan handlÀggare och klient och hur handlÀggarens hantering av dessa pÄverkar interaktionen och relationen dem emellan, samt det utfall som det kan ha för klienten..
Ungdomar och social integration i Malmö: En kvantitativ och kvalitativ studie om ungdomars upplevelser av och syn pÄ social integration i deras vardag
This paper examines, through questionnaire, how young students in upper secondary school in Malmo experience social integration. It also contain what they think should be done in order to improve the integration between youth that are ethnic Swedish and youth that have a foreign background. To understand the subject we started with a review over Swedish integration politic and its influence over Malmo and social integration in the country. We have used such theoretical starting points as identity and ethnicity in relations to the social surroundings, social affinity theory and flexible mindedness, making of groups among youth and factors to promote social integration. Our conclusion is that the experience of social integration between the two groups depends on how you experience yourself.
Sociala företag en av flera aktörer i det sociala vÀlfÀrdsarbetets tjÀnst
Social enterprises make up one of the groups of participants that provide welfare services financed by public funding. The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. The company that has been the object of study offers services in the field of social welfare and in employment. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. The results have been analyzed from theories on the space available on the market for social services, on social economy and on social capital in the form of strong, weak and bridging bonds.
"Förut visste jag inte riktigt vem jag var..." : Om projektet Ungbos betydelse för ungdomar och socialsekreterare i Kalmar kommun
The purpose of this essay was to examine what Ungbo in Kalmar has meant for the adolescent from their point of view and to examine the social workers opinions of Ungbo.My questions were: What expectations did the adolescent and the social workers have on Ungbo? How has these expectations been fulfilled? What expectations does the social workers think the adolescents has on Ungbo? How is the impact of involvement for the adolescents when planning the living environment in Ungbo? What changes has Ungbo brought to the adolescent? What changes has Ungbo brought in the work of the social workers? What does Ungbo mean for the adolescent? What does Ungbo mean for the social workers and what experiences does the social workers have on the importance of Ungbo for the adolescents? How has the teamwork been working around the adolescent during the time at Ungbo?The questions were answered by asking four adolescents and two social workers with their experiences of Ungbo. My study showed that Ungbo was of importance for the adolescents that has been a part of the project, but it is also important in the work of the social workers. The adolescents noticed a change in them selves after their stay in Ungbo. The social workers were positive to Ungbo but they felt a need for others resembling activities in Kalmar..
Social Engineering : En studie om medvetenhet och förebyggande Ă„tgĂ€rder mot Social Engineering pĂ„ svenska organisationerÂ
Abstrakt Social Engineering Àr konsten att manipulera mÀnniskor, för att pÄ sÄ sÀtt vinna deras förtroende. Med hjÀlp av detta förtroende kan attackeraren sedan kringgÄ sÀkerhetssystem och fÄ tillgÄng till organisationers information. Vi har i denna uppsats genomfört elva intervjuer pÄ tre stora organisationer med bÄde IT-chefer och övrig personal. Med dessa intervjuer har vi sedan försökt fÄ en bild av hur medvetenheten ser ut samt vilka ÄtgÀrder organisationerna tar för att förhindra Social Engineering. Med denna uppsats vill vi belysa den ovisshet som rÄder kring Social Engineering, men Àven farorna och hur effektiv en attack av denna typ kan vara.

The aim of this essay was to investigate how social workers, within chosen Social services districts in the northwest of SkÄne, work with children placed in foster care. Our purpose was to investigate the interaction between the child and the foster home from the perspective of the Ecology of Human Development. Our questions were:* How do the social worker prepare the child and the foster home before a placement?* What kind of support is offered to the foster home with the purpose of supporting the child?* How do the social worker make the childs contact with the biological parents easier?* To what degree does the social worker work on strengthening the child's network?* Which factors do the social worker decide the allocation of support?* What do the social worker think affects the work with the foster home from a society level?To answer our question we have interviewed nine social workers. We found that the social workers were generally good at perceiving how the micro- and meso-systems, and to a certain extent the exo-system, influenced the foster child.
Medias granskning av socialtjÀnsten : - en kvalitativ undersökningen ur ett socialsekreterarperspektiv
Many social services cases have been reviewed in the media during the last years. One of those cases is ?Lasse and Karin?, handled by the Social Services in Oskarshamn in 2002. Lasse and Karin had their son taken into custody by the Social Services and the case was reviewed in national media. Through this case the Social Services received much attention, of which most was negative, and their handling of the case was greatly criticized.
Erfarenheter av MI-metoden i sjuksköterskors hÀlsosamtal
Bakgrund: I samhÀllet Àr det stort fokus pÄ hÀlsa och livsstilsförÀndringar och det motiverande hÀlsosamtalet Àr ett verktyg som fÄtt stor uppmÀrksamhet inom hÀlso- och sjukvÄrden. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien Àr att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av hÀlsosamtal, dÀr Motiverande samtal (MI-metoden) har anvÀnts som arbetsredskap.Metod: Med en systematisk litteraturstudie har artiklar sökts i Cinahl, PubMed och Elin@Kalmar. Tolv artiklar kvalitetsgranskades och av dessa ingÄr elva i resultatet. InnehÄllsanalys av artiklarna resulterade i tvÄ huvudkategorier och fem underkategorier. Resultat: Sjuksköterskornas erfarenheter gav nya insikter om den egna rollen samt patienternas ökade delaktighet i hÀlsosamtalet.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how five public libraries reason about the use of social media in their day-to-day work. This thesis aim to answer three research questions: What is the libraries use of social media today? How do libraries look upon their own use of social media? And have the libraries formulated any goals about their use of social media, and what are their thoughts on this? The methodology used in this thesis is a content analysis of the libraries social media and a questionnaire interview which was sent by mail to all of the libraries involved. The theoretical framework for the thesis is a model developed by Jochumsen, Hvenegaard Rasmussen and Skot-Hansen.The results of our study shows that the room of meetings, from the theoretical framework, are the most represented in the content of the social media used by the libraries. The libraries find that social media is a good way to connect and communicate with their users, but they feel that the time they spend on their social media is not enough.Our study also shows that most of the libraries have not formulated any goals for their use of social media, and that they do not have any intentions to do so..
Socialarbetaren i organisationen: Anpassning eller inflytande?
The aim of this paper was to examine how social workers' comprehension of the need of financial aid exists in, and is influated by, the organisation they work in. To investigate this, we asked ourself questions concerning how the social worker view the way that the finicial aid-system and work surrounding it is formed, whether the social worker's understanding of the need of financial aid co-exists with the percieved common understanding of the work place (do the understandings coincide, do the social worker adjust his or her understanding or is it possible to have a separate understanding), whether the social worker feel that he or she have discretion to influence the organisation and how possible conflicts between different views are handled. We felt that a qualitative method would best help us answer these questions. We therefore interviewed seven social workers working in the same organisation. We then looked at our material from an organisational theory perspective, focusing on the individual in the organisation.We found that the social workers were socialised into the organisation and adapted the norms and values that existed there.
Kvinnligt chefskap : En kvalitativ studie av socialarbterares förvÀntingar pÄ kvinnliga chefer
The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to get an understanding of what is expected of social workers targeted towards women managers in social services. Nine social workers were interviewed. The empirical data was then analyzed on the basis of gender theory. Respondents did not see their supervisor as a manager but more as a social worker with special tasks. Our empirical data indicates that there is a strong belief that men and women possess different properties.
Damned if you do, damned if you donÂŽt
The purpose of this paper is to explore the social worker?s perspective on working for the government as a professional in care of children, in relation to the family's right to self determination. The essay's empirical material is gathered from qualitative, semi-structured interviews with social workers who work with children and youth in communities and districts in SkÄne and Stockholm City, Sweden. The analysis was conducted in line with theories of social constructivism. The results and analysis show that the interviewed social workers did not believe that the state has too much power over the citizen.
