The purpose of this paper was to understand internal communication?s critical tradition by studying the interface of the subjective experience and the objective behavior within a management team. During almost two years this group was observed, several semi-structured interviews were conducted and a specific incident was analyzed. The interview texts where analyzed, using the Meaning Constitution Analysis developed by Roger Sages (2010) at Lund University. The observations were summarized in sociograms showing relationships in the organization.

This report examines the relationship between usability and subjective judgmentsabout aesthetic and emotional aspects of users of a web production. Through thedevelopment of two prototypes that reflects different aspects of usability and subjectiveassessments examined the consequences of a differentiation of the concepts andUsability and Likeability. Thereafter, an evaluation of the two prototypes are madethrough user testing. Finally, the results of the evaluation is presented and are relatedto the concepts of usability and likeability. .

Att interagera med ett system genom att använda naturligtspråk görs genom att använda ett Natural Language Interface (NLI) som innebär svårigheter för både system och användare. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om taligenkänning är en användbar inmatningsmetod för naturligt språk baserat på ISO-definitionen av användbarhet. Detta gjordes genom att utveckla ett spel baserat på det klassiska textbaserade spelet Zork där användaren ger kommandon i naturligt språk som sedan användes för en användbarhetsstudie. Studien utfördes med mellangruppsdesign med två grupper av användare där den ena gruppen använde tangentbordsinmatning och den andra taligenkänning med Web Speech API. Både kvalitativ och kvantitativ data insamlades under testet om användarnas effektivitet, beteende och uppfattning av systemet.

This project is about the development of a application to aid deafblind people with time understanding. The application is written in C# language and have multiple functions to alarm the user. The application can alarm deafblind persons through a combination of sounds, pictures and vibrations. The aim was to further develop the filler cap found onmore or less the whole of the company?s range of chain saws, in order to make it moreuser friendly.The present filler cap is not easy to open and close, especially when wearing gloves, andunder difficult conditions, which creates problems and prolongs filling time.On the basis of market surveys, different prototypes and tests, we have created anergonomically improved cap of a new shape, which can be moved in the axial direction,thus making filling easier..

This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with two students at the Department of Dental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. The aim of this project was to construct a computerized decision support system to facilitate diagnosis of changes in the Oral Mucosa using information collected by the above mentioned students. A program which poses specic questions to the user was constructed with the Java programming language. Depending on how these questions were answered, one or more possible diagnoses were presented by the program. In order to conclude whether or not this program was of any use in terms of time savings, a series of tests were run and timed both when using the program and when not.

The purpose of this study was to understand what the care recipients considering as care quality in their long-term eldercare. Our intention has been to contribute a bit to the development of the care work. Previous studies show that user surveys are carried out regularly but there is very few studies that are based on care recipients own opinions and experiences. The main questions in the study have been to examine what is considered as good elder care from a user perspective. The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Oppunda Electronics AB. The assignment was to further develop an existing prototype of a dispensing equipment. The dispensing equipment doses a kind of glue, bonding which dentist use to mend teeth. The dispensing equipment is adjusted to dose 12 micro litres of bonding. With the dispensing equipment SafeBond Electronic the user can reduce the bonding consumption with approximately 50 percent.

This essay explores how artwork in the public space can be analysed, conceptualized and described by bringing attention to site. Through an analysis of artworks in the yearly art exhibition of Fittja Open 2011, the essay draws attention to site-specific art and structures of power. The principal aim is to present not only the exhibition of Fittja Open 2011 but also other artwork in the public sphere in Fittja, a suburb to Stockholm. From this point of departure other interests evolve that concerns the "image" of Fittja. The analysis, based on research in art history, architecture, ethnology and philosophy as well as qualitative interviews, also focuses on understanding the role of site and the relations between art practice, institutions and site.The result shows that there are problems with a ruptured interface between the artwork and site.

För att åstadkomma detta krävs ett interface mellan Caretechs system och på marknaden befintliga givare för puls och blodtryck. Innehållet i rapporten beskriver de delar av projektet som Caretech anser kan vara publika. Interfacet skall helst byggas med komponenter som är kända och använda av Caretech i deras övriga produktsortiment.

The aim of the present study is to describe the experiences of high school students as regards the effects of their activities, in and out of lessons, being published on the web. In addition, a further purpose is to acquire knowledge about whether a website could be used as means of increasing the students level of attention, and focus, to their activities in school; and, furthermore, how such a website should be designed to correspond with the students requests.The implemented methods are interviews with students, school administrators and teachers. A survey was conducted covering the student?s personal experiences and opinions. Furthermore, an interface test of the website was performed.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how libraries can organize their collections in terms of library shelving and displays and to what extent these activities stem from a desire to create a user-friendly library. The thesis is based upon a case study of Arkenbiblioteket in Sweden and the material consists of a literature study and qualitative, semi-structured interviews with three librarians at Arkenbiblioteket. The theoretical framework consists of theories on information-seeking behavior, classification and displays. These theories form the basis of the analysis of the empirical material.The main reason for the changes in shelf arrangement at Arkenbiblioteket was a desire among the library staff to create a user-friendly library.
