Sammanfattning/abstrakt För att ett samhälle ska fungera måste människor känna tillit till de samhällssystem de ingår i. Dessa system kan utgöras av både sociala och kulturella strukturer. I takt med den tekniska utvecklingen har alltfler människor fått tillgång till internet. Detta innebär att begrepp som trovärdighet och tillit är centrala även för den digitala världen. Idag sköter dessutom en allt större del av Sveriges befolkning exempelvis hela sin ekonomi digitalt med hjälp av internetbanker.

Gardens from the first decades of the 20th century are often described as seen from a sublime ownership perspective. It may be artists, authors or some other intellectuals, they are all attributed as creators of the referred estate. As far as practically oriented gardeners, constructors or garden consultants are mentioned, they are consequently seen as the mere instruments for carrying out the intentions of the actual owners. Referring to those circumstances it is however well worth notifying that all properties, and in particular the gardens belonging to it, are submitted to a constant change. For anyone acquainted with garden work, it is quite obvious that the gardens vitality is closely related to the ongoing design process, by which form and content are created and re-created.

After emergencies involving chemical spills it is of great importance that correct measures are taken with short notice, both for the security of people and in order to minimize future environmental consequences. The RIB-unit at the Swedish Rescue Services Agency initiated this study, the aim of which is to propose changes to the existing chemical transport calculation tool: Chemical Spill 3.4, included in RIB - Integrated Decision Support for Civil Protection, so that it can be used for decision support as well as in preventive work. A rough estimation of chemical transport in the subsurface is considered being of great importance when making decisions during emergency response operations.The proposition presented in this report is a non site specific chemical transport model which is designed to give a rough estimation of NAPL flow in homogenous isotropic soil shortly after an instantaneous release. The model can be used at two levels; both in situations without access to information on subsurface properties, and with more accuracy in situations with knowledge of the included parameters. For that reason the user can choose among predefined alternatives or assign the parameters a numeric value to increase the quality of the model output.

The automotive market is currently undergoing a historical change where stricter emission legislations and ever increasing fuel costs have intensified the search for effective alternatives to the conventional internal combustion engine, which has resulted in a substantial trend towards electrification of powertrains. Storage of electrical energy is the fundamental component in this technology where the lithium-ion batteries are currently considered as the most appropriate solution. Lithium-ion batteries, however, as other types of batteries, can only be used efficiently and durably within a specific temperature range.This Master thesis has been carried out in collaboration with Electroengine in Sweden AB, situated in Uppsala, which has an ongoing project regarding development of a modular battery system for electric powertrains. The project is at a stage where an initial prototype has been developed which provides the foundation for this thesis. The study has addressed the battery system performance from a thermal perspective, in order to validate the ability of the system to create a thermally serviceable environment for the lithium-ion battery cells.

Burkina Faso as well as most sub-Saharan African countries struggle with providing food for a fast growing population. The dominating farming system is agroforestry parklands. Agroforestry parklands can broadly be defined as areas where scattered trees occur on farmlands as a result of selective clearing. The presence of trees in crop fields may in the long term have a positive effect on the production of annual crops. It is commonly discussed, but not proven, that the presence of trees leads to increased groundwater recharge due to higher infiltration capacity of the soil.

A today common soil reinforcement method is the installation of lime-cement columns. Lime-cement columns have been used since the 1970?s and have been a useful method for stabilizing soil at great depths. It is mostly used for stabilizing road and railway embankments because the method is economically viable and the columns are easy to install. The total costs for the installation of the lime-cement columns is dependent on the numbers of installed columns, what percentage of lime and cement that has been used and the pattern in which the columns has been installed.

Hammarby Sjöstad is a new district in southern Stockholm. A main objective with the Sjöstad project was to halve the environmental impact compared to other construction work. The environmental goals involve a halved water consumption rate, a local treatment of storm water and trials aiming to extract nutrients from the waste water. Sjöstadsverket is an experimental treatment plant used for testing new treatment processes for domestic waste water from Hammarby Sjöstad. The results are to be compared with the conventional process used at Henrikdals treatment plant today.

This process activatesenzymes and improves the digestibility of for example phosphorus in the feed and make it more accessible to the animal. Wet feeding can be fermented or not. Fermentationmeans that the feed has been soaked for a certain length of time so that a biological process is started.

AbstractThis report intends through a case study to investigate if lightweight concrete isappropriate as main material in the outer wall of a seven storey residential building.A technical design is carried out in accordance with the definitions and requirementsfor passive houses, given by FEBY?s1 ?Demand specification for passive houses?.A literature review is also carried out for a comparison between regular bolt wall andlight weight concrete wall, with a focus on the safety of moisture.The lightweight concrete block used in the report is as a celblock produced by thecompany H+H Sweden AB.The methods used have resulted in compliance with requirements andrecommendations from authorities. Calculations of energy, noise and moisture riskassessment has been carried out.The work has resulted in the conclusion that the lightweight concrete itself is notable to isolate in the extent necessary to obtain chosen U-value of 0,1 W/m2 ° C,without getting to thick. Therefore additional insulation is needed. There are fewrelevant reference objects built with only light weight concrete.

has for promoting or aiding in the reconciliation process
of these areas, by examining the following questions.
How can landscape architecture be used to benefit the
peace building process of divided cities and landscapes?
How can landscape architecture be used in the process of
promoting spatial reconciliation in the case of Belfast?
The investigation begins with a description of the background to the project in Chapter 1, which functions as a
brief introduction to the urban phenomena that is divided
cities. It then goes on to introduce the different methods
and data employed in order to answer the research questions
in Chapter 2.
After introducing the problem and the methodology, a
global overview of divided cities is performed in Chapter
3. This chapter is divided into two sections.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att tillämpa aktionsforskningsteorin och metoden appreciative inquiry vid design av en måltidsupplevelse med målsättning att öka medarbetarnas medvetenhet kring stolthet över arbetsplatsen, inspiration till matlagning samt mod och vad som får människor att våga testa nya produkter och arbetssätt. Ett ytterligare syfte var att utveckla ett mätverktyg som utvärderade insatsen och fångade upp medarbetarnas tankar och känslor. Till sist är det även uppsatsens syfte att utvärdera inbjudan till den designade måltidsupplevelsen för att kartlägga vad som väcker intresse och nyfikenhet samt vad som får medarbetare att anmäla sig för att delta på evenemanget.Design/metod: Arbetet är en fallstudie och har utgått från aktionsforskningsteori och -metodik med specifikt fokus på appreciative inquiry. Eftersom arbetet har varit tätt kopplat till utveckling av en målitdsupplevelse har även inspiration och kunskap hämtats från mat- och måltidsbranschen.Resultat: Ett nytt måltidskoncept har utvecklats och presenterats. Eftersom den designade målitdsupplevelsen fusionerar appreciative inquiry och måltidskunskap har det givits namnet appreciative dining.

Uranium (U) is a naturally occurring component in bedrock and under the "right" conditions it can dissolve and move into the ground water. Since many people in Sweden depend on drilled wells as their main drinking water supply, they may be exposed to the uranium in the water.
Radioactive radiation is not the major concern associated with naturally occurring uranium. It is rather the chemical properties of uranium that make it a potential danger to human health. Uranium is proven to have toxic effects with respect to the functioning of the kidneys.
Effects of storage time, die channel length and moisture content on pellet quality of lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl. var. latifolia)
The use of renewable resources is rapidly increasing in Sweden, especially the use of fuel pellets. Through pelletizing the energy content per volume unit is greatly increased and the pellets are more homogeneous with regard to moisture content, particle size and density compared to unrefined fuels like forest residues and chips. For further development of the Swedish pellet industry, the use of different assortments from lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl. var. latifolia) is of particular interest, mainly because of its high volume production.

Background
Research concerning footing and its contribution to injuries has been conducted primarily in racing Thoroughbreds. Studies in UK and Japan indicate that some specific factors could be responsible for an increase in performance-associated injuries. Researchers in Sweden have performed studies on Standardbred trotters. More research is needed to be done on equestrian sports since requirements on footing are not exactly the same in riding and trotting horses.
The lack of scientific evidence on the construction of equestrian surfaces has lead to anecdotal validation of designs.
