Since the late 50th century, the automobile has been normative in the Swedish society (Lundin 2008). This has led to an urban environment deeply characterized by the motor vehicle and its necessities, while other means of transportation, such as train and bicycle, have been ignored and put aside. However, over the past decades, a new trend has been seen in urban planning as a consequence of the increasing knowledge of the negative qualities caused by the car. As a result, the bicycle is seen as a conceivable transport mode.This thesis examines cycling on four issues:- Why is there a need of more cyclists? - How can the total number of cyclists as well as the number of satisfied cyclists increase? - Which factors affect the choice of transport mode? - Which factors affect the choice of route?The first two questions are discussed from a literature study that was conducted at the beginning of the thesis.

This thesis aims at examining factors that influence women?s choice of clothing. Focus lies on what women want to communicate with their clothes, how consumption is used as a means of expression, women?s attitude towards the clothing and the body image that media has created. Is there an underlying idea in a women?s choice of clothing and is she trying to express something specific? Why do women buy the clothes they do? The aim with this thesis is to identify if there is a difference between people from an urban area and those from a small town, as well what role the geographic difference plays in how fashion conscious you are or how you choose your clothes.

Integration policies have failed to make diversity into anything more than occupying the same physical space. People of different cultural background still do not share their lives to any real extent. Attempts made within planning and landscape architecture to catalyst the integration process have mainly been focused on structural measures, such as residential policies. As for outdoor environments, non-verbal casual encounters in the shape of crossing paths are assumed to lie at the heart of urban social integration.The aim of the thesis is to question this assumption and, as the thesis will show, there is literature supporting this aim. Looking at the works of Gordon Allport, Lewis Coser and some of their followers, I find intercultural contact to require more complex ways of interaction in order to reduce prejudice and to generate tolerance and understanding.

This essay focuses on the function and development of city harbors during the middle ages in the Scanian part of Öresund. The purpose of the survey is to take a closer look at topography, development and activities on the shores in three coastal cities along the west coast of Scania. The cities that has been part of the survey are: Skanör ? Falsterbo, Malmoe and Landskrona, three cities that follows each other chronologically and that show both similarities and differences in appearance, function and urbanization.The cities of Skanör ? Falsterbo and Malmoe were important market places for the medieval Scania market with the herring fishery in focus. The cities? birth has to be looked upon in relation to these activities.

This paper examines the power producing dams along the Ume-river as an integral part of and a result from the urbanization process in Sweden during industrial capitalism. The aim of the paper is to contribute to the knowledge of the urbanization process in Sweden in general and of its traces along the Ume river in the county of Västerbotten in particular. The paper applies the theory of concentrated urbanization and extended urbanization put forward by Neil Brenner and Christian Schmid (2015) and argues that the building of power producing dams along the Ume-river is part of an extended urbanization process. This becomes particularly evident when examining the vast physical structures that is the dams, situated in an otherwise remote and sparsely populated area. These vast physical structures are also very well connected to a nation wide electric grid that has connections to bordering countries as well.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka hur elevvårdande personal talar om sina pedagogiska och sociala strategier gentemot barn med socioemotionella problem.Genom intervjuer, tidigare forskning och teorier visar resultatet på att barn med socioemotionella problem behöver struktur, tydlighet och realistiska krav och förväntningar där fokus bör ligga på barnets styrkor.Genom uppmuntran och beröm kan barnets självkänsla och självförtroende stärkas vilket bidrar till att barnet kan fungera bättre socialt men också nå kunskapsmålen.För detta krävs det att personalen kring barn med socioemotionella problem har kunskap kring arbetssätt och förhållningssätt..

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur en gymnasieskolas yrkesprogram kan ta emot och integrera elever med Aspergers syndrom. Hur man på bästa sätt kan få en elev med Aspergers syndrom att trivas, accepteras och hur skolan kan förbereda sig. För att nå syftet har jag gjort en intervjustudie där 7 personer har intervjuats varav fyra har varit skolpersonal och tre elever. Den litteratur som använts har varit kopplad till skolan och Aspergers syndrom. Resultatet och slutsatsen av undersökningen visar att elever med Aspergers syndrom är i stort behov av struktur, rutiner och undervisning som passar den enskilde individen. De behöver personal som är tydlig i sin kommunikation och som har god kunskap om elevens behov, både pedagogiska och sociala..

Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att undersöka om det finns något samarbete mellan de svenska mikrobryggerierna, samt att titta vidare på hur detta samarbete kan tänkas se ut. Datainsamling har skett i form av fyra delvis strukturerad telefonintervjuer med bryggerier i olika storlekar. Bryggerierna som deltagit i arbetet är Oceanbryggeriet, Gamla Slottskällans Bryggeri, Kallebryggeriet och Oppigårds Bryggeri. För att besvara syftet har tre huvudområden undersökts: samarbetsområden, vilken typ av samarbete det handlar om och slutligen anledningen till samarbetet. Resultatet har varit ganska spritt, men tyder på att det samarbete som sker är av primär informell struktur, men att föreningen Sveriges Småbryggerier har, sedan sin start 2008, inkluderat en stor andel av bryggerierna och börjat skapa ett mer formellt samarbete mellan bryggerierna..

In the Swedish Curriculum (Lpfö 1998, revised 2010) pedagogogical documentation constitute a big part. It is important that the childrens development and learning are documentated properly, both for the child itself, but also as an quality review and evaluation of the work that is made at the Preschool.In this study we have examined preschool teacher?s attitudes towards pedagogical documentation and how they work with it and use it in the daily work at the Preschool.We have also examined their own abilities to implement pedagogical documentation. For whom is the documentation made for? We also wanted to see if the children had any opportunity to influence the work.We have used a qualitative method and our study is based on six semi-structured interviews with six preschool teachers.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an unconventional model of agriculture expected to contribute to a more sustainable food supply and a sustainable landscape; the development of rural areas; a stronger relationship between producer and consumer and a healthier diet. This study, with a focus on food production and the link between the producer and consumer, describes the origin and current development of CSA in Sweden, including the prerequisites for CSA in a Swedish context. Organizations and entrepreneurs working with CSA and related projects are identified and interviewed. The notion of CSA in Sweden is still in its infancy, but a rapidly growing interest currently can be detected. The fact that the identified CSAs are found in different Swedish regions with variations in degree of urbanization and intensity of agriculture indicates that the prerequisites are there for the concept to grow, both in rural as well as urban areas.
