Att utveckla en förskolegård : exemplet Kungstäppan

Studies in the recent years have showed that the preschool playground is important for both the physical and emotional development of children. The Botkyrka local government has decided to improve their preschool playgrounds in order to take advantage of these studies. The administration of childcare and education in Botkyrka is arranging a network between the different preschools where they work together to improve their outdoor environments. The network is arranging workshops and seminars where people from the different preschools can come and gain inspiration for improvements of their own preschools. The administration of properties has created a document where they describe the changes that are supposed to be made to the different outdoor environments. Through the administration of properties and the person who is responsible for the outdoor environments I was introduced to their work with the preschool playgrounds.

SammanfattningSyfte Studiens syfte är att undersöka friluftsundervisningen i grundskolor med friluftsprofil i Oslo och Stockholm, samt jämföra dessa.Vilken eller vilka stilar av friluftsliv förekommer inom idrottsämnet i friluftsprofilerade grundskolor i Oslos kommun?Vilken eller vilka stilar av friluftsliv förekommer inom idrottsämnet i friluftsprofilerade grundskolor i Stockholms kommun?Vad kan vi se för likheter eller skillnader mellan skolorna i Oslo och Stockholm?Kort sammanfattning av Sandells friluftsstilar:Passiv anpassnignsstil: friluftsliv utifrån ett anpassat betraktande perspektiv utan att påverka naturen.Aktiv anpassningsstil: friluftsliv utifrån ett aktivt perspektiv där du lever av naturen och tar vad du behöver samtidigt som man värnar om naturen.Dominant anpasssningsstil: friluftsliv utifrån ett aktivitetscentrerat perspektiv där ofta kommersialism styr för att påverka och anpassa naturen för att ge rum för specifik aktivitet.MetodAnvänd metod är öppet strukturerade telefonintervjuer. Sex stycken idrottslärare, tre i Oslo och tre i Stockholm intervjuades varav två var kvinnor och fyra var män. Samtliga var utbildade till idrottslärare eller lärare med undevisning inom friluftsliv.ResultatAlla stilar förekommer i Oslo. I Stockholm råder tveksamhet kring den dominansstilen.

Lärares syn på hur den fysiska klassrumsmiljön påverkar elevernas lärande

My main purpose for this paper was to find out what the four teachers I interviewed thought about the design of their classroom and how they linked that to pedagogy, pupils learning and policy documents. I also wanted to find out if classroom design were something they discuss and reflects on in the college.My questions for this study were: What do some teachers who work in the early ages in the school think about the classroom design? Do these teachers link the classroom design to policy documents or pedagogy? Do these teachers consider classroom design to be something that should be discussed in the same way as other factors (for example teaching aids, resources etc.) within the college?My method was to make qualitative interviews with four teachers, analyze their answers and link them to my main theories and research in the area of the study. My main theories were multimodal communication, which means that there are several systems of signs in communication, which all have an essential function for the meaning of the communicated. It also means that learning happens both individually and socially and that school is a social construction, and that the system of opportunities and boundaries in which it takes form is mediated within our multimodal systems.

Vitberget Skellefteå, ett kommunägt tätortsnära skogsområde ? föreningarnas och allmänhetens syn på hur skogen bör skötas

The question is who should govern and administrate a municipality owned urban forest? Should societies and the public be invited to participatory planning, who are the interested parties, could they be treated like a group and what are their opinions on administration and management? The study is carried out in a municipal owned forest Vitberget Skellefteå that is widely used by associations and individuals for recreation and training.This has led to several discussions in the local media about the management of the forest, especially in connection to harvesting. The work undertaken here has been to identify who has any interest in the management of the area. After identifying the interested parties, a selection of the societies, schools and pre-schools that actively uses the area as well as random individuals met in the area was interviewed. The questions asked can be divided into six main groups:? Communication with the municipality?s managers for the area? Interference from other activities? Views on forest management? Views on nature conservation? The uniqueness of Vitberget? Development opportunitiesThe crucial factors identified as being needed to succeed in managing an urban forest are long-term administration, information and communication.

Stadsnära hav : en intervju/enkät om upplevelsen

The environment that surrounds us affects us all. Research has shown that we feel physically and emotionally best in natural environments with greenery or water elements. Urban environments are likely to be more stressing then natural environments. How we experience specific elements, as water, of an environment is not as much investigated. There is a need of further knowledge for us to fully understand the interplay between our senses and the environment. Human beings have always been depending on water and the search for it has characterized our deeds and doings through out evolution.

Stadsodling finns redan i flera av våra städer och resultaten från projekten som idag drivs är goda och det är dags för nästa steg i utvecklingen mot ett grönare och mer hållbart stadsrum. Rapportens frågeställning är en teknisk vinkling av de mjukare värdena som normalt diskuteras när det gäller stadsodling: Går det att ta fram en generell typ av växtbädd för gemensamma fritidsmässiga odlingsytor i stadsmiljö för växtzon I? Hur skulle den i så fallvara uppbyggd? För att besvara frågeställningen gjordes ett urval av köksväxter man normalt kan hitta i trädgårdsodlingar. De krav urvalsväxterna hade på växtjord sammanställdes och sedan kontrollerades de mot de beskrivningar som normalt används som stöd vid anläggning idag, AB Svensk Byggtjänsts publikationer Anläggnings AMA 98 (1999a) och RA Anläggning 98 (1999b). Det visade sig att den sandiga siltjord som borde passa samtliga växter i urvalet utgjorde en av de standardjordar som anges i Anläggnings AMA 98. Även gällande växtbäddens uppbyggnad konsulterades AB Svensk Byggtjänsts två beskrivningar.

This paper constitutes graduate work at the Depart-ment of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. In this paper the urban structure of the million program suburb Husby in Stockholm is examined and what effect this structure has on social life in the area. The main objective of the study has been to, with the help of morphological analyses, examine how to create meeting places and make the Husby Park more accessiblefor the inhabitants in Husby. There has been a selection of analyses to ensure that Husby?s spatial relationship with surrounding suburbs as well as local spaces in the Husby Park is described.

Urban agriculture is a current topic and this study examines the possibility of cultivating on balconies in the city. The study was performed at Uppsala University and examines, from a structural engineering perspective, how different existing balcony/terrace structures are affected by cultivation. A cultivation balcony defined in the study as a balcony/terrace which is specifically designed for cultivation. Three units of study have been selected according to this criterion. Four factors were examined, these were loads, moisture/water, economy and cultivation.

Through previous studies during my education, I have experienced that chemical deicing road salt is a known problem, mainly in southern Sweden. Road salt causes damage to the environment and also damage to vehicles and structures such as bridges, etc. Road salt causes vehicles and steel constructions to rust, leading to increased costs for repairs of damage to structures. Road salt also causes damage to the plants and the economy to suffer, when plant material and soil needs to be replaced. In order to get closer to a solution, I put up three questions.

En insyn i waldorfskolan : en kvalitativ studie av fyra lärares syn på sin egen undervisning

Background: The Waldorf school was founded by Rudolf Steiner during the early nineties in Austria. The pedagogy is established in the antrophosofical sight of humanity, which contains focus on three watchwords when it comes to teaching. These are the will, the feeling and the thought. Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate how teachers in three Waldorf schools are working during to the curriculum and to bring out the differences and the similarities with the municipal school. This essay is focusing on four themes and theories; artistic learning processes, gender, multimedia and environment.Method: In order to investigate this kind of teaching I choose interviewing as a method, specifically semi structured interviews. Four teachers at three different schools in Stockholm county was interviewed.

Multitorget :

This is a final project which makes up 20 credits at the Landscapearchitecture programme at SLU in Alnarp. The thesis is design based. My final project is comprised two parts; of a competition entry for ? A New Square in the Centre of Täby? as well as a theoretical study that derives from the competition proposal. The competiton itself was announced on March 1st 2007 with the final hand-in date on May 28th 2007. The program of the competition asked for a flexible urban square that offers a diverse range of activities that can be used during both night and day, all year around. I became interested in the term ?mutlifunctionality? and I went on to use the subject as a base for my design approach.

Syftet med projektet har varit att skapa en plats som kan ge besökaren en möjlighet att få sakta upp för ett ögonblick, och därigenom bli mer medveten om sin omgivning och sina medmänniskor..
