Planning for building projects has been studied with the aim of identifying how three week planning appears in the construction industry today.A case study has been conducted in Navisworks Simulate to assess whether the software is suitable to connect the task schedule with the BIM model to create a 4D model. 4D models are used for performing 4D construction simulation to visualize the project. In order to use the benefits of the model, investment in equipment and software is required. This means higher costs for the companies.

This project is based on my fathers farm which lays outside Löberöd, twenty kilometres south of Eslöv in Skåne. While my family for some time have thought about building a new milkingstable with AMS(Automatic milking system) I decided to compare the AMS with a conventional milkingstable. We are abit concerned about how many cows we should have in the new stable. Because of that I calculated with two different number of cows. I have compared three different types of milking stables: One alternative is 180 cows milked in a double eigth hearing bone milking stable. The second alternative is 128 cows milked with two DeLaval VMS-robots. The third alternative is 171 cows milked with three DeLaval VMS-robots. One salesman from DeLaval and one salesman from A-betong helped me to get marketprices on the milkingrobots, building, ventilation and prices on all the concrete. In all the costs labour is included. The rest of the costs are calculated in a softwareprogram called K-data 03 which is a program with predicted costs. The calulations from the program showed that the price in the milkingpit system was 51 000 sek per cow.

A problem in the field of district heating is the oil burners needed to provide power when a peak load occurs. One possible way of reducing the needed amount of oil is to reduce the power demand for space heating in the district-heating substations when the need for district heating water exceeds a certain limit. This can be done by use of a locally working controller function.In this Thesis the options concerning load priority are evaluated. To evaluate the potential for using controller functions concerning peak load priority an experiment was brought out in a chosen district-heating substation. The impact on the indoor thermal comfort during a heat reduction was also taken into account.

Examensarbetet behandlar det s.k. Kingområdet i södra Helsingborg. Planområdet benämns som King i arbetet, har en storlek av ca 45 hektar och ett avstånd till innerstaden på ca i kilometer. Området består idag främst av bangård och verksamheter av olika karaktär. Under en kommande 20-årsperiod kan stora förändringar förväntas ske i dessa delar av staden och det är i denna utveckling som arbetet tagit sin utgångspunkt.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka fenomenet Urban Sprawl för att se om det går och få svar på varför Kungsbacka kommun ser ut som den gör idag. This work is a continuation on earlier diploma work in Varnäsföretagen AB. Even if the industry process consumes much energy for melting the aluminium goods, they consume a great amount of oil to warm up the building. The purpose of this work is to examine some places in the building and the process to see how much energy it is possible to recycles to the heating system and reduce the costs for heating.

This thesis has been done in collaboration with Peab Stockholm Building 3, which is a region within the Peab Sverige AB. The report is based on a survey and studies of Peab business management systems and production literature. For general information gathering has literature from well-known sources collected in libraries and through the Internet. It shows through the work that Peab has routines for experience feedback in the construction process, but that these procedures work in a small scale and the practical work experience feedback does not work at all. This is also something the construction industry in general also perceived as problematic. The questions in the report are of a wide scale and concerns construction errors cost, how the employees perceive that the company takes advantage of the skills and the mental stress in production line. Den urbana situationen idag, med en majoritet av människor som bor och arbetar i städerna, sätter stor press på en välfungerande planeringsprocess. Denna uppsats undersöker hur konsultföretaget Urban Utveckling och Samhällsplanering AB kan utveckla sina analysverktyg när de utvärderar urbana områden då analyserna idag inte argumenterar för prioritering av särskilda åtgärder. Förslaget var att utveckla en prioriteringsprocess som skulle ta in viktiga aspekter av urban planering i beräkningarna, aspekter som skulle kunna påverka denna process. Baserat på intervjuer med lokala aktörer jämfördes sociala och ekonomiska aspekter med varandra och i relation till syftet för analysen, vilket var att området skulle förbättras både för fastighetsförvaltaren och för invånarna. Resultatet presenterade fem åtgärder som genom deras sociala påverkan ? kopplat till syftet för analysen ? borde anses mer aktuella än de övriga.

As landscape architects, it is important to gain knowledge about the effect of urbanisation and ways to prevent the negativities. Experiencing the effects in person in a developing country, as well as learning from and about other cultures, enhances the understanding for global situations. Dar es Salaam is located in one of the most rapidly urbanising regions in the world, which puts pressure on the environment and the humans living in it. Lack of means to regulate land development has led to a situation where expansion of unplanned settlements occurs, with spatial disorder as a consequence. This has in the extension led to a decreasing amount of publicly available and qualitative green spaces, and degradation of the few ones that exist. There are facts that strengthen the status of urban parks, which especially becomes relevant in developing countries where many people live in sparse and exposed conditions.
