A Road project?s frame is built up of a decision- and consultation process, where the results of the preparatory studies are being discussed. The aim with a consultation process is that all theopinions and knowledge from the operators' will be taken into count in the basis of information, that is needed in order to the different involved operators' to take a decision.The aim of the essay was to investigate how the decision- and consultation process for a road project, the E4 section between Uppsala Läby, turned out. The aim is also to bring up how theprocess could have been done more correctly. The study was carried out through a qualitative method with an analysis of materials from the National Road Administration's archives, the associated Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and through interviews of the different operators.My theoretical basis has been a Stakeholder Analysis and its principles, and theory about different executions of social planning.The result showed that the decision- and consultation process has been bursting in democracy and consideration taking of the different operators' opinions, has been poor from the developer?s, in this case the National Road Administration's, side.

This bachelor?s thesis report aims to investigate the problems that exist with the ticketing systems ofthe various regional public transportation authorities, specifically with regards to inexperiencedtravellers and cross-county travel.This is done in part through a comprehensive survey for all of Sweden where both the regional publictransportation authorities and passengers were asked about their opinions, as well as a throughin-depth survey focused on the counties of Stockholm and Uppsala. The results of these surveys arethen compiled and analyzed to identify the biggest common problems.The tree biggest problems prove to be a complicated implementation, lack of availability and lack ofinformation. In order to improve the ticketing system it is therefore proposed to implement asimplified ticketing system, as well as improved accessibility and information.         .

In Sweden everyone has the possibility to report deficiencies in animal welfare they encounter. They report this to the county administration in their county and such a report is called a complaint case. Complaint cases are normally handled with animal welfare inspections, carried out by animal welfare inspectors from the county administration in the county where the animal keeper with reported deficiencies lives. The county administrations in Sweden receive a lot of complaint cases that differ in grade of how severe the deficiency is. The complaint cases are given priority by how severe the deficiency seems to be.

The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) promotes the Ecosystem Approach (EA). In this thesis it is analyzed how the EA approach could be applied to regional management of coastal areas in Sweden. The aim of this report is to compare management for preserving biodiversity on a landscape level in two regional coastal areas in Uppsala and Västra Götaland respectively. In Uppsala, one of the plans consists of a previous nature reserve and in Västra Götaland, a Regional landscape strategy has been established. The ecosystem approach is used as a theoretical framework in this thesis.

AbstractThe organization of the health care system in Sweden has been subjected to investigations and discussions in order to make it more effective. The aim is to create a better public health care and to economize on the financial resources. In the year of 2003 an amendment of the Swedish law made it easier for municipalities and county councils to make own solutions and agree about how health service should be organized in the best way. This resulted in a number of test projects. In this paper I will focus on one of these test projects which took place in Borlänge and was based on collaboration between the municipality and the county council in Dalecarlia.

Denna utredning handlar om hur Länsförsäkringar Uppsalas hemsida fungerar i mötet med kunder. Syftet är att klarlägga om, och i så fall hur, Länsförsäkringar Uppsala kan förbättra sin hemsida för att öka kundnöjdheten i mötet med sina försäkringskunder. Vår empiri utgår från personliga intervjuer med anställda vid företagets Internetgrupp, ett antal webbdesigners på externa företag samt ett urval kunder som köpt försäkring hos Länsförsäkringar Uppsala. Denna information har analyserats utifrån en studiespecifik modell, vilken bygger på teorier om försäkringsbranschen, kundnöjdhet och webbdesign. Utredningen pekar på att Länsförsäkringar Uppsala redan har en väl fungerande hemsida men att sidan genom förenklingar kan attrahera nya kunder samt öka kundnöjdheten hos de befintliga..

Syftet med min C-uppsats är att studera muslimers uppfattningar om de möjligheter och problem som de ser i att bygga moskéer i dagens Stockholm, Uppsala och Gävle. Jag utgår från följande frågeställningar:- Hur ser de muslimska representanterna i Stockholm, Uppsala och Gävle på behovet av flera moskéer?- Vilka möjligheter samt problem ser muslimska ledare i sin region när det gäller utbyggnaden av moskéer?- Vad innebär ordet moské för de personer som jag intervjuar?.

Sveriges riksdag är övertygad om att utsläppen av växthusgaser måste minska för att människans påverkan på klimatsystemet inte blir farlig (Naturvårdsverket, 2011). I Uppsala har kommunfullmäktige beslutat om att de totala utsläppen av växthusgaser per innevånare ska vara 45 % lägre år 2020 jämfört med år 1990 (Uppsala kommun, 2011e). För att bland annat kunna utvärdera och utveckla energisystemanalyser har Uppsala kommun, SLU och Vattenfall ett samarbete kring modellering av Uppsalas energisystem och klimatpåverkan. I detta arbete har programvaran LEAP (the Long range Energy Alternatives Planning system) använts för att utveckla en sådan modell. Modellen innehåller ett nuläge (som speglar Uppsalas energisystem så som det såg ut år 2008-2009), ett referensscenario för möjlig utveckling fram till år 2030, och ett aktörsscenario där specifika åtgärder/mål (från Uppsala kommun och Vattenfall) för att få ned utsläppen av växthusgaser modellerats. Resultaten från modellkörningen visar att kommunens mål om 45 % mindre per capita utsläpp av CO2e år 2020 inte uppnås i vare sig referens- eller aktörsscenariot..

Background:Several studies have shown there has been significant lack of knowledge about women who have sex with women cross infect each other with STIs. It has been less likely that women who have sex with women visit health care than heterosexuals, they often felt badly treated, invisible and did not always know where to turn in case of an STI. Objective: The objective was to examine if STI information from Kalmar and Växjö county websites and GCK-summit, targeted women who have sex with women. Method: With a queer theoretical perspective a critical discourse analysis was made by STI information on the internet. Results: Women who have sex with women have been excluded in the STI information currently available through Kalmar and Växjö county websites.

This paper deals whit the problems concerning social organisation in the county of Dalarna in middle Sweden during the Middle Ages 1050- 1528. This paper also deals whit the every day ife in Dalarna during the same period. In the paper archaeology, ethnology, history and osteology is used in order to create a so accurate as possibly picture of every day life at the farm, the villa and the keep. Each environment is compared to each other in order to try to see the social structure of the county. The geographic frame for the paper is the part of Sweden above the border zone of Limes Norrlandicus, or lower Norrland.The results presented in the paper shows that Dalarna most probably had a flat social organisation in the meaning that the every day life and its artefacts was much the same in all the environments.

This paper examines how teachers and librarians are helping children and young people withdyslexia/reading and writing difficulties. The examination has taken place in a small municipalityin Skaraborg County. Seven teachers in the municipal schools and the chief librarian inthe municipal library have been interviewed as well as an advising county librarian.In the municipal schools the pupils have access to literature in easy language and computerswith programs training reading, writing and spelling. In some schools there are textbooks ontape too. In the municipal library and in the county library disabled readers can loan literatureon tape and literature in easy language.The conclusion of the examination is that children and young people with dyslexia/readingand writing difficulties need all sorts of aids in reading and writing.

Managementläran har en lång historia med olika idéer för hur organisationer bäst styrs. Idagens samhälle är hållbarhet en stor trend, alla aktörer måste arbeta för en hållbar utvecklingoch ett resultat av detta är intresset som uppkommit för hur företag kan använda sig avhållbarhet som managementidé. Som en del av samhället måste även landets kommuner tahänsyn till trenden och det är vanligt att offentlig sektor kopierar managementidéer frånprivata sektorn. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ studie var syftet att jämföra managementmodellenutformad av Galpin et al. med delar av Uppsala kommun för att se om modellen, utformad förprivat sektor, har relevans för offentlig sektor.

Denna uppsats behandlar ämnet OPS och de kringliggande områden som har varit av intresse för att studera valda delar, av upphandlingen och konstruktionen av samarbetet mellan kommunen och privata aktörer, kring Uppsala Arena. De ämnesområden som aktualiseras i huvudsak är; den kommunala kompetensen, statstöd och formerna för olika typer av upphandling inom EU. Resultatet visar att Arenaprojektet i Uppsala är att betrakta som en byggkoncession. Dessutom har konstaterats att kommunen kan ha agerat utanför den kommunala kompetensen och att stödet mycket väl kan utgöra ett otillbörligt statstöd. Faktumet att Uppsala kommun inte ansökte om godkännande från EU kommissionen för sitt stöd till Arenaprojektet kan ses som en lärdom för andra kommuner som planerar att genomföra liknande projekt, då detta agerande med största sannolikhet avskräcker privata aktörer, med den ökade risk det medför..

This essay discusses people's perception of what is important for their well-being where they live. The main aim has been to find out what factors in the outdoor environments of the city are appreciated and why they are valued positively. A comparison has been made between Uppsala in Sweden and Tarapoto in Peru to see if, and in that case what, differences can be found in the values of people. I chose to carry out a survey study that got a response rate of 57 persons in Tarapoto and 63 in Uppsala. The results show that there are some common basic values, but on the whole the outdoor environments are valued differently in the two cities. In short, the Peruvians value functionality, cleanliness, small distances to family and service, while the Swedes value a central location and short distances to friends apart from functionality and good service opportunities. Conceivable reasons for this might be for example different cultural prerequisits, material standard and climate. .
