Arbetet är ett förslag till ett nytt konstmuseum i Uppsala. Förslaget delar upp det givna programmet för museet i en del med Uppsala Konstmuseums nuvarande samlingar och en utställningshall för temporära utställningar. De två utställningshallarna ligger på vardera sida av Fyrisån och binds samman av en gångbro. I anslutning till bron och de två entréerna ligger café, shop, restaurang och bibliotek. Arbetet har inneburit studier av omkringliggande stadsrum, dess färg och skala, av kommunikationen mellan museets olika delar och ljusföringen i utställningsrummen..

This essay is included as a sub-study of a survey about child poverty, which the Department of Sociology at Uppsala University, the Ombudsman for Children and Gillbergska Stiftelsen (the Gillberg?s foundation) has been commissioned by Uppsala Town to implement. The intent of this essay is to investigate how three pre-school managers in the municipal preschool in Uppsala describe child poverty, how they see the preschool?s social responsibility and how they manage child poverty in their practical operation. The essay is a qualitative study and informants' responses has been analyzed and related to symbolic interactionism, the thesis theoretical basis.

Uppsatsen är en pilotstudie. Syftet är att undersöka om det går att urskilja en skillnad i konsumtionsmönster ur Uppsala auktionskammares auktionsprotokoll från åren 1783 och 1820. Studien ingår i ett forskningsprojekt omfattande olika aspekter av andrahandskonsumtion i Sverige. Undersökningen presenterar vad människor konsumerade under perioden och saluförde via auktionsväsendet. I analysen studeras protokoll för att se om det går att urskilja en förändring i konsumtionen mellan de aktuella åren..

2007 gjorde Uppsala studentkår en enkät om cykeltrafiksäkerhet riktad till sina studenter. I enkäten framkom att studenterna var missnöjda med ett antal korsningar och även med underhållet av stadens cykelnät. I mitt kandidatarbete har jag samtalat med ett antal berörda tjänstemän, upprepat enkäten samt bedrivit litteraturstudier. Därefter har jag resonerat kring hur man skulle kunna underlätta för studenter att färdas med cykel i Uppsala. Resultatet är en sammanställning av hur Uppsala kommuns arbete med några cykelrelaterade frågor är upplagt och hur det fungerar i dag samt ett antal förslag till förbättring.

 Conclusion:Medical treatment may have a role in platelet count after transfusion. Since the TACSI platelets passed the quality requirements, and the vast majority of patients platelet count increased after TACSI platelet transfusion, the TACSI platelets will replace the old method to produce platelets at the Uppsala University hospital.  Methods: A new approach that pools 8 buffy coats (TACSI platelets) that were separated into 2 units instead of 4-6 buffy coats pooled to 1 unit was investigated in this study. After the platelets were extracted from the buffy coats their quality was controlled and subsequently the platelet product was evaluated in 96 patients. Results: The results showed that 80 % of the platelet units passed the European quality requirements. Further, the platelet count was increased in most patients that received TACSI platelets. Conclusion: Medical treatment may have a role in platelet count after transfusion.

The aim of this essay is to describe the historical development of the intercultural teacher training program at Södertörn University in Stockholm. I have also examined how the intercultural teacher training program was started, how and why it became intercultural and how the people in charge of the development of the teacher training program discussed intercultural science. The teacher training program has been an active part of Södertörn University since 1998, but it became intercultural in 2002. I have studied these questions through documents from the Södertörn University archives and literature by the funders of the education. The study shows that the university profile, ambitions and motives have been a key factor in the decision to make the teacher training program at Södertörn a multi-cultural one..

The Library of Uppsala University has decided to change their classification system from the Swedish SAB system to the American Dewey Decimal Classification. One of the main reasons for this decison was that Kungliga biblioteket also has made an exchange between these systems. Due to that, the national bibliography of Sweden classifies Swedish documents according to Dewey Decimal Classification and the SAB system is no longer maintained. A transition to Dewey Decimal Classification will enable Swedish librarians to import foreign catalouge posts and classification codes and will provide them with a common standard between their libraries and other libraries due to the use of the same international classification system. It is disputed whether the Dewey Decimal Classification is equally suitable for all subjects.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka gymnasieungdomars attityd till teater i allmänhet och Uppsala stadsteater i synnerhet, för att försöka få en bättre bild av hur marknadsföringen motungdomar skulle kunna utformas.Det teoretiska ramverket berör attityder, och marknadsföring mot ungdomar. De verktyg somanvänts är en intervju med en del av Uppsala Stadsteaters marknadsavdelning, enfokusgruppsintervju med nio gymnasieelever samt en enkätundersökning med 161gymnasieelever. Attityden till teater i allmänhet och Uppsala Stadsteater i synnerhet var relativt god blandUppsalas gymnasieungdomar. 58 procent av respondenterna har någon gång besökt UppsalaStadsteater.De som deltog i fokusgruppsintervjun ansåg att Uppsala Stadsteater bör ha tydligareinformation om vad pjäserna handlar om och synas mer. Uppsala Stadsteater bör satsa mer på marknadsföring som riktar sig direkt till ungdomar.
