Den här uppsatsens syfte är att i Uppsala och Knivsta kommuns översiktsplaner undersöka natursyn, hållbar utveckling och uppfattning om klimatfrågan. Den valda metoden för att besvara frågeställningen är en kvalitativ textanalys i form av en diskursanalys. För att kunna analysera översiktsplanerna har tre olika huvudkategorier skapats utifrån en inläsning och en avkodning av materialet: natursyn, stark respektive svag hållbar utveckling och klimatfrågan. Dessa kategorier tenderar att integreras med varandra. En ekocentrisk syn på naturen hänger till exempel ihop med en stark hållbar utveckling och möter klimatförändringarna med begränsning av växthusgaser som strategi.Synen på naturen i översiktsplanerna är något varierad och domineras av en antropocentrisk syn på naturen.

SammandragDenna studie tar upp problematiken vid införande av administrativa stödprojekt vid Uppsala universitet, främst hur motstånd till förändring kan motverkas. Problemet definieras genom frågan: Hur kan Uppsala universitet effektivisera implementeringen av administrativa stödprojekt? Syftet med denna studie är att lyfta fram kritiska framgångsfaktorer vid genomförandet av projekt. Färdigimplementerade administrativa stödprojekt studerades genom personliga intervjuer med projektansvariga och administratörer på institutioner. Upptäckterna analyserades med hjälp av en processorienterad teori baserad på Demingcykeln.

The purpose of this paper is to carry out a domain analysis of Section for Maps and Pictures at Uppsala University?s Library and investigate its business, collection and knowledge organization. Birger Hjørland?s socio-epistemological domain analytic paradigm is applied. As methods, Hjørland suggests eleven approaches, and from them he emphasizes especially the importance of the historical and epistemological approaches.In this paper three questions are analysed.

The interest for wind power has increased in Sweden. Northern Sweden is especially interesting due to that a new wind resource map shows that there are areas in northern Sweden that have more potential for wind power than what have been known before. Therefore E.ON Vind is interested in finding out if, and where, there are suitable places for establishment of wind power in northern Sweden. The purpose of this master thesis is therefore to perform an inventory of northern Sweden for suitable places for wind power. The master thesis is performed at E.ON Vinds office at Vasagatan in Stockholm.

Mitt syfte med detta arbete var att undersöka cyklisters undermåliga framkomlighet i anslutningen till Uppsala centrum och att studera vilka problem som uppstår då cykeltrafikens förutsättningar förändras. Frågeställningen preciserade syftet genom att avgränsa undersökningen till vilka faktorer i den fysiska miljön som motverkar framkomligheten till Uppsala centrum för cyklister. För att svara på min frågeställning valde jag att undersöka två välanvända platser där cykelvägar ansluter till Uppsala centrum. Jag sammanställde ett protokoll utifrån TRAST (Banverket, Boverket, Sveriges kommuner och landsting & Vägverket 2007) med kriterier för att undersöka platsernas fysiska miljö med avseende på kontinuitet, kapacitet, tillförlitlighet, orienterbarhet, bekvämhet och överblickbarhet. För att kunna dra slutsatser av denna inventering utförde jag även en observation på var plats där jag registrerade konflikter som uppstod och mellan vilka typer av trafikanter. Inventeringen och observationen utgjorde tillsammans underlag för min analys av platserna, vilken är den del av arbetet som i högst grad svarar på min frågeställning. Resultatet visar att det uppstår konflikter på de två undersökta platserna och att dessa kan härledas till den fysiska miljöns utformning.

The Church of Sweden sent during the spring 2010 two documents, Teologiskagrundprinciper för arbetet I 2006 års handboksgrupp and Mässans grundordning forconsideration. The documents are parts in the work with writing a new service-book for theChurch of Sweden. After the documents had been sent for consideration by the dioceses therehas been a discussion about the proposal to make the preparation in the service of HolyCommunion facultative. My main question has been to se if there will be any change of theconfession, faith and doctrine in the Church of Sweden if the preparation becomes facultative.I have seen that the service-book is an expression for the confession of the Church of Sweden,therefore there will be no change of the confession of the Church of Sweden, but a change ofits expression.I have seen that there is no consensus in how the dioceses react over what is written in thetwo documents about the forgiveness and the atonement. My conclusion is that it may bydifficult for the Church of Sweden to fix a new service-book without first fix what the Churchof Sweden means with forgiveness and atonement..

Denna uppsats studerar upprättandet av en miljöredovisning för år 2006 i Uppsala kommun med avsikten att utvärdera arbetsprocessen samt ge förslag på förbättringar. Frågeställningen vi tagit vår utgångspunkt i är; Hur ser processen ut vid upprättandet av Uppsala kommuns miljöredovisning? Vilka svagheter finns i arbetsprocessen och vad kan förbättras i framtiden? Två teoretiska modeller som behandlar redovisningens syften och dess arbetsprocess har använts. Fakta har insamlats från informationsmaterial i form av miljöprogram och miljöredovisning samt genom intervjuer med en politiker och två tjänstemän insatta i arbetet. Kommunen har år 2007 utvecklat ett nytt sätt att strukturera miljöredovisningsarbetet och de insatta tjänstemännen poängterar att man ännu är i ett tidigt skede och att mycket behöver förbättras.

En funktionsanalys av IKEA Uppsalas interna kommunikation)Author: Fredrik JohanssonAim: The purpose of this study is to analyze the internal communication at IKEA Uppsala.Are the channels of communication working efficiently? How is the information received by the employees? Finally I will make a few suggestions on how the internal communication can be improved.Method/Material: The method used in this study is quantitative. The internal communication at IKEA Uppsala is analyzed based on the results of a questionnaire. 75 employees at three different divisions were given questions on how they appreciate the communication channels at IKEA in Uppsala. 50 answers were received.Main results: The results clearly show that even though the internal communication at IKEA seems to work well in general, a few of the channel needs to be improved.

A Musician in Seventeenth Century Stockholm and his Concerto O Jesu dulcissime], Uppsala universitet, Institutionen för musikvetenskap, uppsats för 60 p, 2006.Georg Stubendorff, organ player in S:t Jakob's church in Stockholm 1663-1672, was one of the very competent foreign musicians that came to work in Sweden in the 17th century. The purpose of this essay is to contribute to the knowledge about him and about the conditions in general for church musicians in Stockholm during that era, and to present an edition of his Concerto a 3. It is shown that Stubendorff may have come to Stockholm from Livland, rather than Germany as earlier accepted. The Concerto a 3 is the only composition by Stubendorff that has survived (now in the Düben collection at Uppsala university library).

The aim of this study is to describe ideas put forward by Sweden Democrats (Swedish: Sverigedemokraterna) about Christianity in Sweden and the Church of Sweden as a Folk Church, a church for a whole people, and how the political party uses Christianity as a part of constructing a Swedish identity. The investigation is based on official documents, newspaper articles, statements and political motions which are analysed using a form of text analysis called idea analysis. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on Claire Mitchell?s theory about religious content in ethnic identities and Einar Billing?s and Johan Alfred Eklund?s thoughts about what makes the Church of Sweden a Folk Church.The investigation shows, among other things, that the Sweden Democrats? view of the Church of Sweden is similar to the thoughts of Eklund but they differ in their lack of references to theology. The investigation also shows that Christianity serves as an important marker for the Sweden Democrats in creating a Swedish identity. .

Objective: The papers objective is to create a deeper understanding for whether or not cultural and psychic distance affects corporate establishments in the EU.Method: The results have been gathered through intense data collection through interviews with ScaniaAB and Business Sweden. There has also been extensive research of 36 different companies and their first establishments in different countries. We have then analyzed the results through cultural and psychic distance and through Uppsala University's internationalization process model.Conclusion: The conclusions of this paper are:Corporate establishment often occurs in neighboring countries because of the similarity to the domestic markets which contribute with a greater security.Since the introduction of the EU single market, corporate establishments have become easier within the single market.The cultural and psychic distance does exist within the EU, however the internal market decreases these distances and the impact on corporate establishments.The market commitment is essential to the corporates survival within the new market.Cultural and psychic distance affects small firms more often since their lack of network and experience.Cultural and psychic distances are two different but related phenomena..

Denna studie analyserar disciplinärenden på Uppsala högre allmänna läroverk mellan 1895 och 1927. Syftet med undersökningen är att studera hur ett kollegium förmedlar sina strukturerande praktiker genom disciplinering för att därigenom urskilja de ideal som rådde på läroverket. De disciplinärenden som återfunnits i kollegiets protokoll har i samtliga fall rört möjligheten till förvisning från läroverket, vilket innebär att läroverkskollegiet fått resonera för sin ståndpunkt i de olika förseelserna. Utifrån Bourdieus teoretiska begreppsvärld undersöks kollegiets strukturerande praktiker och dispositioner, samt hur kollegiet förhöll sig till lärjungars sociala strategier. Källmaterialet har undersökts både kvalitativt och kvantitativt.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine the representation of student life in Uppsala in the 1860s and 1870s in memoirs. This purpose is achieved by contextualising the memoirs in two different analyses. In the first, the representation of student life in the memoirs is compared to that in another literary genre, the university novel, and it is found that the two representational forms paint completely contradictory pictures, where in the novels the higher education is depicted as rotten and in dire need of reformation, whereas in the memoirs the system, albeit somewhat flawed, works. The memoirs and the novels thus seem to be competing systems of representation, created in different discourses, wherein the purpose and nature of higher education widely differed. In the second analysis, the examination of the memoirs is based on research concerning the nation building process in Sweden during the 19th century.
