The society is developing fast and the development is constantly on-going, new technology results in new opportunities and new problems for both companies and consumers. The use of Internet has heavily increased around the world; this means that the companies can use Internet as a channel of communication to reach the consumers. The most recent type of marketing is web marketing. The fact that web marketing is constantly changing raise the question of how effective different types of web marketing are.The purpose of this study is to investigate four selected types of web marketing. This is achieved by comparing the response from the consumers and the cost for the different types of web marketing.

There have been changes in Earth?s climate system on both global and regional scale since the pre-industrial era and some of these changes are due to human activities such as the combustion of fossil fuels. This calls for the development of engines with a higher efficiency and less harmful emissions. One interesting concept is the Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine, which has the advantages of potentially low emissions combined with high efficiency. However, HCCI with diesel fuel requires a relatively long fuel/air mixing time to ensure a "homogenous" charge.

BAE Systems Hägglunds has a long history of producing high performance terrain tracked vehicles (mostly for military applications), and they are now aiming at developing a tracked forwarder with similar techniques.The forwarder will be of series hybrid type where a diesel engine via a generator will power the motors (one for each drive wheel). Thanks to individually controlled motors and the gentle rubber tracks, this forwarder is calculated to have a considerably higher average speed in the terrain and to be more gentle to the soil. The forwarder with a weight of 11 metric tons and a load capacity of 15 metric tons is specified to have an average working speed of 7-10 km/h, a top speed in terrain of 15 km/h and a top speed on roads of 40 km/h.This master?s thesis aims at developing a conceptual design of the forwarder?s drive module which includes electric motor, gear unit, brake and drive wheel.To investigate if the requirements can be fulfilled a study of the dimensioning loading scenarios has been carried out. The resulting needs regarding the torque has been considered in order to determine the required gear ratios for different motor options.

So- called ?Network Based Defense? (NBD) was introduced in Sweden in connection with the transformation of the Swedish Armed Forces in 1999. NBD is based on the U.S. variant Network Centric Warfare (NCW), which in turn is derived from research on the concept of Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA). In Sweden the concept was introduced and included not only the Armed Forces but was intended to also support the Swedish civilian agencies in order to create networks and hence share the available information and thus more effective crisis management and to provide more "bang for the buck." In developing the concept of NBD the Swedish Armed Forces used both economic and human resources, in the form of research, new technologies, new organization and new methods.Between year 2004 and 2006 the Armed Forces once again entered the process of reorganization.

The stability of railway embankment is essential for safe transport. In order to ensure safe transport, water should be allowed to freely drain. Furthermore, as the engine driver has to be able to see signs, and people working on the embankment are supposed to easily see flaws on the rails to ensure safety for the passing trains, plants should not be allowed to grow on the embankment. In Sweden there are 12 000 kilometers of railway tracks and 25?30 % of them are treated for weed control every year.

I takt med att Internetanvändandet ökar på bekostnad av andra medier blir Internet alltviktigare som marknadsföringskanal.Att synas på Internet har tidigare främst åstadkommits med hjälp av så kallade bannerannonser.Numera finns det en mängd andra sätt för att kommunicera med sina kunder somtill exempel e-postmarknadsföring och marknadsföring genom sökmotorer.Av alla varianter av marknadsföring på Internet är sökmotormarknadsföring den marknadsföringsform som växer överlägset snabbast. Det finns två varianter av sökmotormarknadsföring: vanliga annonser i form av länkar som presenteras vid sidan av sökresultatet ochsökmotoroptimering. Sökmotoroptimering, som företrädesvis behandlas i den här utredningen,syftar till att ge webbplatser höga placeringar i sökmotorer som Google, Yahoo ochMSN Search.Eftersom sökmotoroptimering, även kallat search engine optimization eller SEO, är en mycketkomplex verksamhet är det svårt för företag som vill köpa den här tjänsten att veta hur manskall gå tillväga för att få tag på en kompetent konsult. Vad som komplicerar saken ytterligareär att det har framkommit att många sökmotormarknadsförare har använt otillåtna metoder föratt ge sina kunder höga placeringar. Dessa metoder kan visserligen vara mycket effektiva menom det upptäcks riskerar både konsulten och kunden att bli utslängda ur sökmotorernasregister, även kallade index.

Examensarbetet utfördes på University of Florida vid Department of Mechanical and AerospaceEngineering i deras Energy and Gas Dynamics Systems Laboratory. Laboratoriet forskar på enny gasturbincykel som producerar kraft, värme, kyla och vatten. Cykeln är kallad High PressureRegenerative Turbine Engine (HPRTE) och kombinerat med gasturbincykeln är ettabsorptionskylsystem (VARS). Kylsystemet drivs av spillvärme från avgaser som cirkuleras igasturbinen, den producerade kylan används för att kyla ned högtryckskompressorinloppet.Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att undersöka möjligheten till att kyla ned inloppet tillkompressorn till temperaturer långt under fryspunkten för vattnet i den fuktiga gasen. Om gasenskall kylas till nivåer under fryspunkten måste vattnet föras bort från gasen.

För en metodingenjör som tar fram reparationsmetoder innebär prototyptillverkning att tankar som växt fram under utvecklingsfasen kan provas för första gången på en fysisk produkt. Detta sker relativt sent i produktutvecklingen och eventuella ändringar som kan uppstå på grund av att servicevänlighet inte uppnås blir mycket kostsamma. Om däremot prototypen där metoderna verifieras för första gången är digital och detta sker tidigt blir kostnaderna för eventuella ändringar avsevärt mycket mindre. Modellen som ligger till grund för metodstudierna kan sedan används för att skapa ett utkast till service litteratur, detta medför att även den delen av slutprodukten kommer att vara i fas med övriga utvecklings avdelningar.

För att effektivisera användningen av GIS (Geografiska Informationssystem) kan distribuerade geografiska informationssystem nyttjas. En sådan distribution åstadkoms ofta genom att en GIS-applikation med enkel funktionalitet publiceras åtkomlig för användare anslutna till ett nätverk, intranät eller Internet. Då fler och fler får tillgång till GIS ökar behovet av att kunna konvertera mellan olika format och mellan olika koordinatsystem. Även här finns krav på effektiviserad och förenklad användning. För att bibehålla datakvaliteten krävs att de verktyg som används, genomför korrekta transformationer och konverteringar samt att de är användarvänliga.

This Master Thesis covers the concept of Green Cars. The background to the research area is the high and rapidly growing number of cars, which together with other factors ad to the pollution of the environment. Under the Kyoto agreement the signing members agreed to lower the emissions of green house gases, further on the EU has a 3-pillar strategy on carbon dioxide and cars. Included in the EU strategy is a voluntary commitment from the car industry to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new cars. The easiest way of lowering the emissions is by using alternative fuels and engines.

The large number of alternative fuels that are under development at present makes the future fuel-market impossible to predict. Scania?s ethanol project is associated with a number of uncertainty factors that are beyond the company?s control.

The automotive market is currently undergoing a historical change where stricter emission legislations and ever increasing fuel costs have intensified the search for effective alternatives to the conventional internal combustion engine, which has resulted in a substantial trend towards electrification of powertrains. Storage of electrical energy is the fundamental component in this technology where the lithium-ion batteries are currently considered as the most appropriate solution. Lithium-ion batteries, however, as other types of batteries, can only be used efficiently and durably within a specific temperature range.This Master thesis has been carried out in collaboration with Electroengine in Sweden AB, situated in Uppsala, which has an ongoing project regarding development of a modular battery system for electric powertrains. The project is at a stage where an initial prototype has been developed which provides the foundation for this thesis. The study has addressed the battery system performance from a thermal perspective, in order to validate the ability of the system to create a thermally serviceable environment for the lithium-ion battery cells.

Engine development som bedriver forskning & utveckling av Scania motorer.Denna avhandling inom produktutveckling tjänar syftet som slutgiltigt examinationsmoment för civilingenjörsprogrammet Innovation och produktdesign på Mälardalens högskola. Arbetet har utgått ifrån en metod för produktutveckling som lärs ut i samband med utbildningen.Uppdraget har baserats på frågeställningen att utveckla ett robust klamningskoncept för kablage på motor, som uppfyller de ergonomiska och konstruktionsmässiga krav som Scania ställer på sina artiklar.

Since June 1999, the Napster software has made the happiness of millions of individuals who used it to obtain and share free audio files Mp3. Rapidly, the major recording companies have prosecuted the Napster Company and managed to force it to close down. They were arguing against it for it is supporting the development on a large scale traffic of files protected by copyright and thus was threatening the whole music and movies economic world. Since fast Internet connections multiplied, "peer to peer" software and networks improved, so that this mode of exchange became an unprecedented success. Today all cultural products, in particular films and music, are concerned with this free –of– charge distribution without any financial counterpart for the copyright holders. Two tools hold today the top ranks and concentrate large traffic: eDonkey and eMule.
