This thesis aims to investigate SAAB AB´s possibilities to use synthetic instruments in their test systems. The reason for this is reducing costs and the risk of obsolescence which is common when test systems operate for several decades.The market around synthetic instruments has been explored in the search for suitable hardware and software. Software has been developed in LabVIEW and synthetic instruments have been created with the help of IVI-drivers. The hardware consisted of PXI-instruments (Waveform generator and Digitizer), connected to a computer using a fiber optic link and PXI-chassi. The created instruments was then compared to common instruments used today, and the comparison turned out well.

Bakgrund: Förhållandet mellan frihet och disciplin, för att använda Foucaults (1987) ord, är en ständig fråga för människan. I olika tider har balansen mellan frihet och disciplin sett olika ut. I en organisation kan begreppen översättas till ledning respektive styrning. Bland dagens mest populära organisationsrecept märks värdegrunder, som svarar mot begreppet ledning, och det balanserade styrkortet, som är ett verktyg för styrning. Syfte: Att öka förståelse för hur tre olika ledningsnivåer inom Sveriges Radio ser på förhållandet mellan värdegrunder och det balanserade styrkortet, hur de förmedlar denna syn på förhållandet och varför de har denna syn. Avgränsningar: Den här studien handlar inte om hur förhållandet mellan värdegrunder och det balanserade styrkortet faktiskt ser ut vid Sveriges Radio eller hur medarbetarna ser på förhållandet; inte heller handlar den om hur väl Sveriges Radios styrningssystem fungerar. Metod: På de tre studerade ledningsnivåerna har på varje nivå först en deltagande observation genomförts. Därefter har en nyckelperson på varje nivå intervjuats utifrån metoderna om kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med semistrukturerad form.

Abstrakt Produkten som jag har utvecklat är en mjukvarubaserad 3D-renderare. För att göra en sådan produkt är man tvungen att gå djupt in i området 3D och utföra alla beräkningar på egen hand. Dessa tar annars grafikkortet hand om. Denna rapport förklarar varför jag har valt att göra en egen mjukvarubaserad 3D- renderare och vad den är för något och i vilka områden den används. Här förklaras även min syn på programmering, digitala spel, vad programmering innebär för mig och hur min syn på spel har påverkat mig med tiden. Jag tar även upp mina tankar om spelindustrin och samhällets misstolkade värderingar av spel samt vad för sorts spel jag anser skulle gynna mänskligheten i framtiden. Vad jag tycker om utbildningen Digitala spel nämns också samt hur jag tror att den skulle kunna förbättras. Slutligen följer en kortfattad beskrivning av hur mitt projekt har genomförts. The project deals with the evaluation and testing of speaker and microphone elements as well as microphone cavity.The first part of the report comprises a comprehensive theoretical part about drivers, microphone elements, and to some extent microphone cavity.The goal was to , on the behalf of the company Limes Audio AB, develop proposals on microphone element and cavity as well as drivers for a speakerphone application, based on specific factors. The main factors were performance, price and form factor.The aim was to create the best possible conditions for Limes Audio's software developers to implement the company's audio-enhancing software, mainly adaptive echo cancellation.The testing was carried out using Adobe Audition and MatLab. The test methods were developed in conjunction with Limes Audio and are described below.The project will result in suggestions for a speaker, a microphone and a cavity. The cavity were removed from the product because the results indicated that the cavity matter little for the end result.The report concludes with a discussion on how the measurements could have been enhanced to simplify the interpretation of the results and making the testing more efficient..

There are several methods and models within the areas of software engineering on how to proceed during a software development process. For each of these methods and models there are benefits and drawbacks, depending on how you choose to look at them. A difference of principle between the different models is that they either advocate iterative development or not. In parts of software engineering one makes use of different methods depending on which is most fitting in a specific situation. There are several methods on how to recieve more qualitative data from the end-users during the requirement collection, but the reappearing pattern is still user centric participation, which means that the user participates more actively in part of or the entire development process.

At Flight and Systems test Saab AB, a post-processing software is used to process GPS data. A new software by the name GrafNav has been purchased and the purpose of this master thesis therefore became, partly to make a judgment regarding GrafNav?s ability to estimate position, velocity and accuracy, partly to if needed improve the estimate and finally find one or several methods to estimate the position and velocity accuracy. The judgment of GrafNav was performed partly by a comparison to the former post-processing software (PNAV) and partly by a comparison to the airplane?s inertial navigation system (INS).

The legal situation of companies costs for investing in computer software in an income tax law perspective is described by a tax law guidance that generelly acount these costs according the principles of research and development. If there is any reason to classify the costs differently, it could mean that immediate deduction not will be allowed. For this reason it is important to establish what the legal situation would be in a more nuanced tax law classification. The tax law categories that will be analysed in the thesis are research and development, inventories, intangible assets, stocks and ongoing projects. The purpose of this thesis is mainly to give examples of what such an income tax law classification can look like.While dealing with the problems of classifying the costs some situations of competition will occure.

Sysmex XE-5000 är en automatiserad cellräknare som utför mätningar enligt olika mätprinciper, de två som tillämpats i projektet är RF/DC(Radio Frequency/Direct Current) samt Flödescytometri med halvledarlaser. RF/DC bygger på förändringar i radiofrekventa resistansen och likspänningsresistansen. Förändringar i den radiofrekventa resistansen (RF) ger information om densiteten i cellernas inre (exempelvis kärnans storlek) och förändringar i likspänningsresistensen (DC) ger information om blodcellernas storlek. Flödescytometri definierar ett mått på cellers fysiologiska och kemiska egenskaper. Detektion av cellerna sker genom att de bestrålas med en laserstråle samtidigt som de passerar en och en i instrumentet. Informationen som fås ut från flödescytometri inkluderar spritt ljus och fluorescens.

Today there are a big need for a system that delivers overview of all available units for different municipalities and shipping- and security companies due to the increasing requirements for efficiency. The purpose with this graduation thesis is to find out which systems that is suitable to use while developing cost-effective software for positioning and to produce a prototype for such solution.This assignment has been done at the request of PocketMobile Communications AB. PocketMobile is a company that are specialized on delivering modern mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workers.This master thesis can be split into two separate parts, the theoretic- and the practical part.The theoretic part includes producing a number of functional requirements in cooperation with PocketMobile and comparing the available systems against the function requirements.The practical part deal with the development of a prototype that demonstrates the software recommended. The development tools that best matched the functionality requirements when the selection was made in May 2007 were Map24 and OpenLayers. The system that was selected to use while developing the prototype was Map24, because this product matches all of the requirements and it is also suited for professional usage regarding support, scalability and reliability.

Få industrier har genomgått så omfattande strukturförändringar som musikindustrin i och med de senaste årens minskande lönsamhet med anledning av strukturella förändringar i samhället vilket har resulterat i en fusions- och förvärvsvåg. Med anledning av detta har vi observerat ett stort intresse inom musikindustrin för förståelse kring fusioneringar och företagsförvärv. Med uppsatsen ville vi fokusera på ett litet skivbolag som blivit förvärvat av ett större och se hur det hade påverkat organisationen och om det kunde ha gjorts annorlunda. Syftet med studien var därigenom att beskriva situationen för skivbolaget före, under och efter förvärvet, analysera personalens reaktioner på försäljningen samt utforma rekommendationer för hur liknade bolag kan ställa sig till, alternativt förbereda sig på en eventuell försäljning till ett större bolag. Vi valde att göra en casestudie på Universal Music Groups förvärv av Stockholm Records med hjälp av Bowers företagsförvärvsteori, Lindgrens teori kring fördelar och nackdelar med förvärv samt Habeck, Kröger och Träms teori om förhållningssätt efter ett förvärv eller en fusion.

The project, Flexible Snowboard System, has been carried out by the project group independently and is a module developed for snowboarders, ski rentals and ski schools. The problems of today?s solutions are that they cause the user an inconvenient standing position when riding the ski lift or skating the transportation slope, also mounting, adjustments and disassembling of the bindings are time consuming and brings undesired wear to the screws and screw holes. In addition any adjustments require that the user steps out of the bindings and have tools at hand. Flexible Snowboard System is a universal module which means that it can be assembled with all of today?s snowboards and bindings.

I dagens samhälle har vi radio- och TV-lagen, en lag som ska skydda barn under 12 år från att bli utsatta för reklam genom massmedia. En lag som kan tyckas vara begränsad då den bara kan tillämpas då en kanal sänder ifrån Sverige till Sverige. Den enda TV-kanalen som i dagsläget berörs av den är TV4. Jag har därför valt att undersöka om det är en lag som är nödvändig i dagens samhälle, då det är en lag som är 10 år gammal samtidigt som vi lever i en tid där massmedia årligen förändras. Genom att göra en kvalitativ semiotisk analys av nio olika reklamfilmer riktade mot barn vill jag komma fram till vad det är i dem som gör att är de är olämpliga för barn.

As changes occur more frequently in IT- and software development, it is important for the companies to meet the demands and needs of its customer. The companies have to be able to adapt themselves continuously in order till fulfill its customers changing needs in an effective way, which results in big changes of the companies? structures. The more traditional way of working is often replaced with more alternative approaches as a response to the reputable deficiencies of its predecessors. As an effect of the rapid change and development some companies now see big potential in switching to more Agile and flexible methods and some companies have no choice but to change their way of working.
