The topic of this thesis interest is the relation between branding as a place making/marketing technology and the process of regionalization. The main proposition advocated is that the officially communicated image of the Øresund Region, as a cohesive place and community, is a space that has been configured with branding and can be described as a territorial simulation. The concept of territorial simulation consists of two conjoined terms: simulation which aim at explaining the idiosyncratic brand image, as a social formation, which does not represent the place it imitates but commoditise it; and territorial which seeks to visualize the process of the unfolding of this image as a territory. The main argument is made in the third chapter, which traces the process of actualization of the brand image as a territory: ?Øresund?.

Polismannens befogenheter att genomföra kroppsvisitation och kroppsbesiktningskiljer sig mellan män och kvinnor, där mäns möjligheter att utföra dessa åtgärderpå kvinnor är begränsade. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersökabestämmelserna kring dessa åtgärder sett ur ett genusperspektiv och se vilkakonsekvenser de får för polisarbetet. Till grund för arbetet har legat väsentligalagar som berör dessa tvångsåtgärder, intervjuer med poliser, delar av vad somframkommit i programmet Kalla Fakta och en proposition om förslag till ändraderegler kring rättegångsbalkens bestämmelser. I arbetet har jag kommit fram till attdet råder delade meningar kring bestämmelserna. Att visa hänsyn och trots alltkunna utföra sina uppgifter kan till viss del vägas mot det merarbete somkvinnliga poliser tillförs och det faktum att många kvinnor troligen undgårlagföring då dessa inte får underkastas gällande tvångsmedel av den stora delenmanliga poliser som poliskåren utgör.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze how insurance companies work to create value and confidence in their brands and then compare whether consumers perceive brands as companies seek.Method: The study is a gap analysis of both qualitative and quantitative in nature containing both interviews with insurance companies and a survey carried out on consumers. The study has been developed by analytical induction.Data: Consists of interviews with representatives from the insurance companies and survey responses from 99 consumers.Conclusion: From the study it can be concluded that the insurance industry is unique in its kind as a difficulty and complexity is obviously applicable to convey an overall impression to the consumer, which in turn will produce a brand value to the company. Creating a high brand value through good marketing where it maintained a good congruence between firms striving and consumer perception, is according to the scientists complicated because the lack of perceived quality affects the the big picture..

This treatise analysis what functions light has in theater. It was inspired by Rosalinda Krauss essay Sculpture in the Expanded Field but builds mostly on the following three books Linda Essig Lighting and the design idea (2nd ed), Nigel H. Morgan Stage lighting for theater designers and Francis Reid The stage lighting handbook (6th ed). It discovers nine unique functions of light (performance style, dramatic style, image,illumination, 3D space, 3D form, selectivity, environment, atmosphere) and develops a graphical mapping of them based on a mapping by Reid. In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

This Master thesis is about how to involve young people in a creative process. The aim is to see what methods can be applied to make them reach the kind of knowledge they need to be able to contribute to the creation of a memorial place. Issues such as if a place that displays death has a right to exist in an urban environment or why young people should be involved in the creative process are brought up and discussed in this thesis.The memorial place that the young people contribute to is unique, in some sense, due to it not commemorating any special event or person. The purpose of the memorial is rather to serve the public when larger catastrophes occur or to serve individuals who do not have a grave they can visit to commemorate their loved ones. The idea is to place the memorial in an urban setting in the city of Borås.In this thesis the process that the young people participate in is reported in a form similar to a diary where the reader can follow the developments of the young participants, from how they gain knowledge to how they develop their ideas.

Teori och praktik är två begrepp som inte bör ses skilda åt. Teorin ligger som grund för praktiken och vice versa. Lärarutbildningen på Högskolan Kristianstad ämnar tydliggöra vetenskapens roll i utbildningen samt kopplingen mellan de teoretiska studierna och det praktiska utövandet av yrket, vilket även står i regeringens proposition 1999/2000:136 Den nya lärarutbildningen. Ambitionen är att studenter efter genomgången utbildning ska vara utrustade med ett reflekterande tankesätt och vara beredda på att förändra den skolvärld de möter, inte anamma rådande kultur. Men hur uppfattar lärarstudenterna att detta syfte uppnås? Genom en kvalitativ studie i form av enkäter och intervjuer framgår att kopplingen är otydlig och att studenterna på Högskolan Kristianstad säger sig sakna viktiga delar.

En revisor måste inom sitt yrke uppfylla flera olika funktioner. I revisionsprocessen ingår flera moment där det kan tänkas att olika egenskaper behövs, på samma sätt som det är bevisat att män och kvinnor har olika egenskaper. Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är därmed att undersöka om könens komparativa egenskaper är olika betydelsefulla i revisionsprocessens olika moment. För att realisera vårt syfte kategoriserade vi, efter en litteraturgenomgång, egenskaper efter kön. För att styrka kategoriseringen utfördes en referensundersökning bland vänner och bekanta.

A trend in modern landscape architecture is to design pedestrian streets so that vehicles and people move in the same area. By doing this, traffic tends to slow down. On the market though, there is a lack of furniture that corresponds to the requirements of these kinds of public places. Therefore, I have designed this furniture, called VOX, which is planned to be used on streets, schoolyards and squares. One objective has been to promote the product to the industry.To achieve this, I have been in contact with people from different professions, which have all influenced my designprocess.

During the milling of Sandvik Coromant?s world leading Drill with replaceable inserts,the CoroDrill880©, burrs appear around the milled surfaces. The burrs are removedusing different methods, one of which is deburring with special brushing machines thatare integrated into milling cells. The machines of the type Sinjet, use a Siemensguidance system. The deburring results are not satisfying and manual deburring isrequired afterwards.

An archaeological excavation that was made in 2016 of a Pitted Ware Culture settlement at Tr?s?ttra in the northern archipelago of Stockholm was very rich in artefacts and features. Especially unique was the over 300 fragments of clay figurines that were found. Never had so many been discovered at a neolithic place in Sweden. In Scandinavia it is only on the Finnish islands of ?land that similar figurines have been found. The aim of this study is to increase the understanding of the clay figurines of Tr?s?ttra and ?land through comparative studies.

Vätternrundan is an annual sporting event that takes place in the Swedish town Motala since 1966. It is one of the world largest recreational bicycle rides and attracts over 20 000 participants each year. This study focuses on event effects and how an event can be of value within the principles of place marketing. Within this study five representatives were interviewed with semi-structured interviews.The results show that the representatives describe Vätternrundan as a positive event which mostly generates positive effects for the city itself and for the people living and working there. The effects consist of the events ability to create awareness of the place, the possibility to extend the tourism season and several social effects like solidarity and interaction.The result also shows that Vätternrundan is a well-known brand and because of this it can be used as an advantage in place marketing.

I denna uppsats undersöks begreppet ?barnets bästa? med utgångspunkten att granska vilka olika föreställningar som finns och har funnits kring vad detta innebär. Detta begrepp är inte nytt för vår tid, men det har debatterats mer efter tillkomsten av Förenta Nationernas konvention om barnets rättigheter som antogs 1989. Barnets bästa är dock en social konstruktion och innebörden av begreppet förändras därför ständigt.Metoden som ligger till grund för denna uppsats är dels en genomgång av litteratur och dels en textanalys av två historiska källmaterial bestående av en proposition från 1924, prop. 1924:150, och en av statens offentliga utredningar från 1997, SOU 1997:116.

A publicly funded elderly care that is widely available at people?s homes has been described as unique for the Nordic countries. There is much research that focuses on the relationship between caregivers and care receivers, and also about how work is organized in these organizations. However, research into how care work is organized in organizations that have implemented a salutogenic approach is limited. This is a qualitative study aimed to examine how caregivers feel that the organization of work in elderly care change after implementation of salutogenic elements in their daily work.

The transition from a planned economy to a market economy was initiated in Russia in the beginning of the 90s. The three components: privatization, liberalization and stabilization constitute the trinity of the transition theory. This thesis has its focus on the privatization, that also can be referred to as a piratization of Russia. The purpose of the thesis is to explain what went wrong with the privatization, and also why it went wrong. A few men, called oligarchs, got their hands on great wealth which has lead to an abuse of power.
