Bakgrund: Depression är en folksjukdom som kan drabba alla människor oavsett ålder, kön och etnicitet. Den effektivaste behandlingen av depressioner anses vara en kombination av antidepressiva läkemedel och samtalsterapi. Det finns vissa belägg för fysisk aktivitet som ett framgångsrik preventiv åtgärd mot depression. Regelbunden fysisk aktivitet har en stor betydelse för folkhälsan och motverkar de vanligaste folksjukdomarna. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva evidens för effekt av fysisk aktivitet i samband med depression.
