Bostadsgården : att se till de boende vid utformningen av bostadsgårdar - en litteraturstudie kring bostadsgårdens betydelse

This candidate essay is built on literature studies and discusses the meaning of the residential yard along with what you, as a landscape architect, should think about when you are designing functional residential yards. To do this I found it necessary to figure out what it is that makes people step outside their own apartment and out into the city?s public places. The reasons for this are numerous and many times individually affected. Something that plays a role in people?s outdoor life and prevents them from spending time outside is the lack of time, the technique of today and the feeling off insecurity.

Bodaborg som spel: programmering

Vi har gjort vårt examensjobb på reklambyrån Aptera. På efterfrågan av Äventyrshuset Bodaborg, en av Apteras kunder, fick vi uppdraget att göra ett litet spel för reklamsyften, som ett sätt att nå ut till konsumenterna på ett underhållande och lite nytänkande sätt. I reklambranschen är det viktigt att man har bra och nyskapande koncept för att folk ska lägga märke till, och ännu viktigare, gilla reklamen. Och reklam finns ju i alla möjliga former, så det kändes som ett naturligt steg att även använda dataspel som ett reklammedium. Vi var ett team på fyra personer som skulle jobba med projektet, två grafiker och två datorspelstekniker och det skulle pågå under tio veckor.

Målgrupp alla och dess behov - folkbibliotekets flummiga men underbara uppdrag

The subject for this Master's thesis is the mission of the public library concerning target group everybody. Control documents, traditions, norms and trends influence how this is interpreted and how the library's service is being formed. The often very abstract terms used to describe the public library's mission makes it open for different interpretations. We are of the opinion that the public library's service should be formed to reflect the needs, interests, and priorities of the community it services, in order to be more attractive and useful.The aim of our study is to examine how the public librarians define and adjust to the mission to satisfy all citizens needs. Why do they choose to concentrate on certain target groups? And what does that show of how the public libraries reflect their communities? Our investigation includes examining six activities aimed at a certain target group and the six public libraries that carried these out.

This thesis investigates how energy is used in three public baths today and suggests measures that could reduce the energy demand. The results show that there is a great poteltial for energy savings i public baths, and that it would be interesting to examine some of the proposed measures further..

Rådgivare och Pensionssparare : - En studie av interaktionen mellan rådgivare och pensionssparare

From an investigation by Finansinspektionen and KTH (2009) it is apparent that financial advisors and their clients develop relations, believing that they understand each other, while in fact, they do not. The media tends to notice the conflict of interests between advisors and retirement annuity clients. The aim of this study is to create a greater understanding as to why misunderstandings occur between advisors and clients. This will be accomplished by a quality study of how advisors and trade unions assess how the relationship functions. The theoretical part consists of theories concerning relations and uncertainty.

Service till alla? : Folkbibliotekens roll i de små och medelstora företagens informationsförsörjning - en granskning av tre företagsserviceprojekt

The purpose of this study is to examine and explain why three Swedish public libraries failedin their ambition to act as information services for small and medium-sized firms (SMF). To support this purpose two major assumptions are made:1) Public libraries who plan to run this kind of "business" must act with the same means as "professional" services.2) The service must be adjusted to the information needs of the customer.Based on these assumptions sixteen factors which are crucial to the "success" for this kind of service are presented.Applied to the information services of Lidkoping, Sölvesborg and Västervik, these factors reveal a number of shortcomings and mistakes made by the libraries.To understand this result these information services are seen as parts of a traditional Swedish public "library-thought". It is shown that, fundamental ideas in the way the public libraries are defined, like the responsibility to act in a neutral and democratic way, also characterised the three information services.These ideas together with the opinion of SMF as a "rational" information-consumer resulted in information services who did not meet the information-needs and information-behaviour of SMF..

Outsourcing av urval och inköp : En studie av hur bibliotekariens kompetens och yrkesroll påverkas av Bibliotekstjänsts profiltjänster

Traditionally, the majority of Swedish public libraries have carried out most of their acquisitions through Bibliotekstjänst's binding booklets. In recent years, however, many libraries have complemented the binding booklets and other services from Bibliotekstjänst by other ways of acquiring books, such as Internet bookshops, while other libraries have stopped using the binding booklets altogether. There are various reasons for this development, such as Information Technology making it possible for librarians to compare prizes and services from different retailers. Another important reason is the need for public libraries to meet new needs from their patrons, while remaining on a restrained budget, which often causes a need for reorganization of staff and resources.As a way of meeting the new needs for libraries, Bibliotekstjänst has created Profile Services (profiltjänster), a service in which a library outsources its acquisitions to Bibliotekstjänst. The staff of the library, in dialogue with Bibliotekstjänst, design a profile for the acquisitions for the library in question, in order to determinate which types and genres of literature the library and its patrons are requesting.

Bakgrund: Internet erbjuder ett nytt sätt för företag att kommunicera med kunder eftersom det är kunden som söker upp företaget på nätet och kommunikationen sker interaktivt. Att studera hur försäkringsbranschen agerar, vilka strategier och mål de väletablerade bolagen har med sin verksamhet samt lyfta fram tankar kring effektivitet med Internet som medium i denna bransch finner författarna till detta arbete av stort intresse. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att utreda faktorer som ska leda fram till en modell som försäkringsbolag bör ta hänsyn till i sina reklamsatsningar mot privatpersoner på Internet. Avgränsningar: Vi kommer att behandla reklam på Internet. Detta innefattar främst annonsering på Internet, men även företags hemsida.

When I grow up : En retorisk och semiotisk studie om ansvarsretorik hos Svenska Spel, angående minderåriga.

This essay is a qualitative study of the Swedish joint-stock company Svenska Spel AB?s television commercial from 2008. The commercial is called ?Spela lagom - When I grow up?, and is meant to serve as an informational commercial about being underaged in situations regarding gambling. Using semiotics and rhetoric?s, we are analyzing how elements seen in the commerical affects the rhetorical situation the clip is bound to; how the marketing is done to enhance Svenska Spel?s brand; and what strategies are used to make sure the public service announcements regarding persons involved with underage gambling gets acceptance.

Beteendeproblematik utifrån ett klientperspektiv"Behavioural problems from a clients perspective"

ABSTRACT Behavioural problems are a compound conception for emotional difficulties at different levels. Individuals with behavioural problems could have difficulties with social relations, low self-esteem, anxiety and worry. The purpose with the examination was to describe how clients apprehend their behavioural problems and what they consider could be the causes of it. The examination was based on the qualitative interviews with 5 clients and a professional helper. We came in contact with our clients through our practice.

Den postfeministiska (mar)drömmen : Framställning av genus i Tom Fords reklamkampanj 2008 utifrån postfeministiska teorier och teorier kring manlighet

Syftet för denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur den växande feministiska kritiken mot objektifierande och stereotypiska framställningar av kvinnor under 1970- och 1980-talet har påverkat framställningen av genus i modereklam i nutid. Jag har även undersökt vilken funktion de nya kvinnouttrycken har i reklam, vars målgrupp är män. Jag har undersökt detta genom en fallstudie, en semiotisk näranalys av 4 bilder från Tom Fords modereklamkampanj för mäns kläder från 2008. Jag har utgått från postfeministiska teorier samt teorier kring maskulinitet.Mina frågeställningar var följande:-          Hur framställs kvinnan respektive/i förhållande till män i Tom Fords reklamkampanj?-          Hur ser den här typen av postfeministisk reklam ut?-          Vilken funktion har den postfeministiska kvinnan i reklam avsedd för män?-          Har man i grunden förändrat reklamens genusuttryck och budskap efter den feministiska kritiken?Resultaten visade att både kvinnor och män framställs genom postfeministiska uttryck, kvinnor ofta som starka individer och sexuella subjekt och män som mer feminiserade och androgyna.

This thesis deals with the leisure-time reading of fourteen men with two different occupations, teachers of technology and directors of companies. The main reasons for writing the thesis are that very little is written about mens reading habits and also statistics that tell that mens reading decline regardless of educational level. The purpose has been to compare the reading and relations to literature between the two groups of men and to find out if any differences have to do with factors such as social background or age. The questions we have asked our collected data has been what, how and why the men read. We have tried not to investigate the work-related reading although we are aware of the difficulty in separating this from the leisure-time reading.

Förnuft och känsla : Synen på etik i den svenska kommunikationsbranschen

Hur etik i marknadskommunikation ter sig och bör regleras är en ständigt aktuell debatt. Intresseorganisationer och allmänhet uttrycker ofta kritik och missnöje mot företag som kommunicerar pVi undersöker också hur representanternadisciplinerna reklam, PR och marknadsavdelning. som stötande, diskriminerande eller schaå sätt som upplevs oetiskt. Syftet med vår studie är att kartlägga synen på etik i yrkesrollen som marknadskommunikatör hos åtta utvalda branschrepresentanter från disciplinerna reklam och PR samt från uppdragsgivare. Vi undersöker hur representanterna ser på reglering av marknadskommunikation; vad de anser om hur den bedrivs och hur den bör bedrivas i fall av etisk karaktär så som könsdiskriminering, schablonisering och vederhäftighet.

Marknadsföringen biblioteket : En fallstudie av Broby bibliotek

The purpose of this master thesis is to use marketing theory on the library?s activities. The marketing theory used is the 4Ps; product, price, promotion and place, as it's presented by Philip Kotler. Because the library can be seen as a service oriented organization Christian Gronroos theory of marketing in the service industry also has been used. A case study of the public library in Broby was made to illustrate how the public libraries? activities can appear in the light of marketing theory.

Vilka möjliga faktorer ligger bakom individernas varierande pensionsålder?

Fewer and fewer people from the age of 60 and upward are still in the working life according to a working survey from Central Bureau of Statistics. Only one of twenty can consider retiring after an age of 65. According to another survey that National Insurance Administration put through year 2000, just about 40 % of the working population desires to finish working before an age of 65. This trend towards lower seceding age seems to continue. There are number of factors that seem for lower retirement age and others for a higher retirement age that we prove in our study.
