In the 1969 Le Thor seminar, Heidegger stated that his philosophical journey could be characterized by three different themes: meaning, truth, place. The first two of these have been the subject of countless studies and discussions, but the question of place is still relatively unexplored in Heidegger?s thought, despite the increased interest for this topic in his writings. Even though scholars like Jeff Malpas, Edward Casey, Stuart Elden and Miguel de Beistegui have written books and essays on the importance of the conception of place in Heidegger?s thinking, there are still many important aspects of this theme to be discussed, given the importance Heidegger himself ascribed to this topic.In this essay, I therefore wish to pose the question of how one can understand the relation between place and the role of tragedy in Heidegger?s conception of truth.

Testament är ett actionrollspel baserat på Bibelns Gamla Testament. Spelet utvecklas tillsammans med Svenska kyrkan i syfte att användas i konfirmandutbildningar.Denna uppsats är en reflekterande rapport som behandlar verket Manus till spelet Testament - Spelmoment, dialoger och mellansekvenser. Verket och denna uppsats är en produkt av ett examensarbete i medier och innehåller en beskrivning av arbetsprocessen att skriva manus till fyra av sex segment i spelet Testament. Rapporten innehåller även analyser och diskussioner om arbetsprocessen och det slutgiltiga resultatet. Verket innefattar detaljerade översikter över spelets interaktiva spelmoment såväl som de texter som representerar spelets dialoger och mellansekvenser.Genom detta arbete undersöks området speladaptation närmare för att ta reda på hur litteratur kan omvandlas till spel och hur interaktiva spelmoment identifieras och utvecklas från en text.Under arbetet har en metod skapats för att identifiera och utveckla interaktiva spelmoment ur Bibelns texter och för att skriva mellansekvenser och dialoger till spelet Testament.

This study investigates the judicial process against Erik Molin, a clerk and former theology student at the University of Uppsala 1734-1739. The main purpose has been twofold; first to investigate the legal process through the various judicial bodies and secondly to analyze the ideas and conceptions about man and society expressed by the authorities and Erik Molin. The theoretical approach has been inspired by the German philosopher Jürgen Habermas? theories concerning the emergence of the bourgeois society and the changing concepts of private and public spheres. The study shows that the diocese of Uppsala regarded Molin's theology as heretic and found that he knowingly had tried to spread his views.

This study aimed to investigate whether lambs show anticipatory behaviours in a holding pen prior to entering a known arena, whether the holding pen experience prior to the arena exposure affects their play expression in the arena and whether their behaviour (in home pen) is affected if arena access is denied. Twenty pair-housed male lambs (average 14 weeks old), were exposed, in chronological order, to five treatments. Holding pen treat-ment (HP-control): Each pair was led into a holding pen (2.7 m2) and remained there for 5 minutes before reTurning to their home pen (6 m2). Holding pen ? arena treatment (HP-A): Each pair was led into a holding pen for 5 min and then was allowed access into the arena (22 m2, containing two hanging chains, one ball and one platform) for 15 min before re-Turning to their home pen.

Old industrial sites bear witness of the unsustainable industrial developments in the past. Today many of them stand abandoned and empty, old structures lacking function in our present society. We have in this thesis participated in a visionary student competition arranged by IFLA, International Federation of Landscape Architecture by developing a proposal based on a vision of how Stockholm can stimulate a greener development. We have done this by Turning an unsustainable industrial site in the city into an ecological node; Arboretum Lövholmen. Our aim is to develop an entry for IFLA?s visionary student competition by creating a new sustainable design for the industrial area of Lövholmen in Stockholm. We have worked with the following research questions: How can we create a visionary design proposal for Lövholmen that promotes sustainable development with the help of ecological design? How can the competition format be a design tool? How can the working process developing a competition entry progress? The competition demands have shaped our working process and functioned as a platform for the structure of this thesis.

The study approach was based on a few specific questions: (1) What aspects of the treatment have contributed to a motivation to abandon the criminal life style? (2) What have motivated the juveniles to make a decision to leave the criminal life style? (3) Are there any specific internal or external protectional factors that have been decisive for the rehabilitation process and, if so, are they linked to intrinsic or extrinsic motivation? The study rests on the theoretical foundation created by earlier research on institutional care, motivation and protectional factors. Interviews were chosen as a method to secure qualitative data and the interview manual was designed on the basis of themes that reflect the questions of the study. Six young people?s perception of their treatment is documented in the study, as well as their opinion on the effectiveness of the treatment.

Dagens moderna samhälle strävar efter att bygga högre och alltmer komplexa byggnader. Denna trend är relativt ny i Sverige, och det är med flaggskepp som Kista Science Tower i Stockholm och Turning Torso i Malmö som bristen på krav i byggnadsreglerna har upptäckts. I Sverige är det idag Boverkets Byggregler (BBR) som reglerar vilka regler och krav som ställs på brandskyddets dimensionering och utformning. Ett gemensamt regelverk, Eurokod, för medlemsländerna i den Europeiska Unionen har blivit introducerat, och övergången från BBR till Eurokod kommer ske under 2010/2011. På grund av detta har denna rapport kombinerat aktuella föreskrifter, allmänna råd och rekommendationer ur BBR med olika beräkningsmodeller som presenteras i Eurokoden.

The purpose of this thesis is to show how a good approach can be designed, focusing on the southern approach to the Swedish town Vilhelmina. Prior to the car being part of everyday life, the approach was a road where the town showed itself from the very best side. When the amount of traffic increased, so did noise and other disturbances, and as a consequence industrial areas replaced the residential buildnings at the approaches. Today, the pendulum is Turning back and in recent years the approach is regarded as a place to introduce the town. The approach is also the place where cars should slow down from the speed of the main road to the speed of the city.

The aim with this thesis was to investigate what characterises an English Arts and Crafts garden how they could be modernised in Sweden. My research was limited to 20 weeks of full-time writing and worth 30 ECTS. Through literature studies, interviews and site visits I could analyse my findings which resulted in a concrete garden design project. The Arts and Crafts was a movement that started in England during the 1880?s and evolved as a reaction towards the industrialisation. The influence came from the writings and practices of John Ruskin (1819-1900) and William Morris (1834-1896) who advocated the importance of craftsmanship. The Arts and Crafts movement also became a ?recipe for life? and was associated with a healthy and morally pure way of living.
