The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how librarians perceive the importance of staff reading groups in helping to make fiction more accessible to adult users of public libraries. The study also examines how librarians perceive the learning processes in such groups, and what these learning processes involve and how they appear. The empirical data was acquired via observations of four staff reading groups and interviews with seven public librarians who took part in the groups. In part, the empirical data is interpreted by means of Lena Wilhelmsson?s analytical tool, which deals with changes of perspective within an organised group.

Of all observable societal trends, the proliferation of standardizing processes is striking. Auditing standards are an illustrative example of this. Not only privately owned companies must today make available numbers and key figures to satisfy needs of information and knowledge. Government agencies are increasingly conforming to this trend, adopting standards for quality assurance and monitoring, producing numbers and annual reports ? despite their somewhat ambiguous task and role.

Var tionde person som misshandlas utomhus av okänd gärningsman råkar ut för detta vid upprepade tillfällen. Denna rapport belyser upprepad utsatthet för brott utifrån polisanmälningar i Västernorrlands län anmälda under perioden 1 januari 2005 till och med 31 december 2008. Rapporten är en kvantitativ registerstudie. Utav de totalt 2 376 anmälda misshandelsfall så var 453 av dessa anmälningar ett led i upprepat utsatthet för brott. Det innebär att 19 procent av alla anmälningar har en koppling till upprepad viktimisering.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka om lärare ser individuell utvecklingsplan som ett verktyg för elevens lärande. Uppsatsen fokuserar på lärandet i individuell utvecklingsplan. Undersökningen genomfördes i form av intervjuer där fem olika lärare från grundskolan fick komma till tals och skildra sin syn på individuell utvecklingsplan utifrån sin verklighet i skolan. Då individuell utvecklingsplan är i ett startskede utgår undersökningen från nyckelord som vi funnit i Allmänna råd (Skolverket 2005) och som vi anser vara avgörande för elevens lärande så att denne når målen i skolan. Resultatet visar att intervjupersonerna ser individuell utvecklingsplan som ett verktyg för elevens lärande.

Från och med 1/1 2005 ka börsnoterade koncerner i EU tillämpa IFRS. Detta innebär bland annat att finansiella tillgångar och vissa finansiella skulder numera ska värderas till verkligt värde.Promemorians syfte är att studera förändringarna i finanisella tillgångar och skulder som påverkas av redovisningsprincipen IAS39, sett ur ett investerarperspektiv. Genom en kvalitativ fallsstudie undersöker vi IAS39 inverkan på nyckeltal för koncernen Ericsson.IAS39 har en negativ effekt på ROE på 0,3procentenheter, på ROCE 0,3 procentenheter och soliditeten påverkas negativt med 0,1 procentenheter både vid ÅRL och IFRS beräkning.Sett ur ett investerarperspektiv blir förändringen att värdet på en finansiell tillgång eller skuld blir mer rättvisande än värdering till anskaffningsvärde vilket ger en tydligare, mer transparent bild av bolagets finansiella instrument..

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine some information aspects of decision-making in Swedish municipal committees. Which are the information needs and how do they emerge? How is the needed information sought and received and which are the sources? How do the members of the committees use information when making decisions? To answer these questions qualitative interviews were conducted with four politicians (two chairpersons representing the political majority and two vice-chairpersons representing the opposition) and three officials in a municipality with a population of about 50 000. The politicians were interviewed in capacity of decision-makers, whereas the officials from the local administration are of interest through their decision-supportive role, which includes providing of reports and other information. The examination indicates that even if the conditions to some extent differ between the committees, the administration is highly influential: Notions and proposals about action may come from inhabitants, organizations, politicians etc., but are handled by the administration, which often is the problem formulating actor, through which the informational needs nearly always are canalized.

The aim of this essay is to investigate the attitudes towards religion and religious people held by a group of Swedish high school students. The main questions are; what causes these attitudes andhow do they shape the students? encounter with religion and religious people and in what way could religious education help the students problematize these attitudes?The method used is a quantitative method using a questionnaire, with a Likert scale, posing different questions about religion as such, world religion and religious people. The theoretical basis, in order to discuss the result of the questionnaire, is a gender theory and the theory of social psychology.The result of the study confirms earlier studies of youths both in Sweden and Western Europe. The result shows that there is a certain degree of negative attitudes towards religion, most of all againstIslam.

This report examines the prerequisites for LEDs to replace other technologies indifferent applications. How does the different technologies for light generationwork and what are the advantages and disadvantages? The various technologieslimitations and characteristics provides the opportunities for the LEDs.This report describes a test-construction built to examine what practical arrangementscan be built with modern light emitting diodes, in order to showsome of the possibilities. The construction consists of three different applications,a high power lamp based on cold white LEDs, one based on warm whiteLEDs for the evaluation of the light characteristics and a RGB-LED based lampable to mix any colors quickly and seamlessly. The test construction also containsthe essential peripherals including control-electronics, optics and a custombuilt watercooling solution.The potential for LEDs is huge but it is complicated to build LED based applicationsdue to the limitations which mainly includes the electronics and theneccesary cooling.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att ge exempel på hur ett fritidshem arbetar för att utveckla barnens kunskaper. Arbetet tar sin utgångspunkt i Lärarförbundets (2005) kunskapsområden som gäller för fritidshemmet. Undersökningen är en kvalitativ studie och bygger på intervjuer med tio barn och två pedagoger på ett fritidshem. Bakgrunden till undersökningen är att vi vill visa vilket lärande som sker på fritidshemmet samt på vilket sätt pedagoger arbetar med detta. Resultatet visade att både pedagoger och barn är överrens om att det sker ett lärande på fritidshemmet.

In 2007 Swedish Meats, the dominant Swedish meat-producers cooperative sold its slaughtering and processing industry. The goal of a producer cooperative structure is to create value for members through vertical integration, and to strengthen members? market position. When Swedish Meats sold the slaughtering and processing components, it ceased in some respects to serve the function of a cooperative. This is a lost opportunity for both members and non-members, because Swedish Meats as a functioning cooperative could have exploited its dominant market position to positively effect producer?s prices.

Automatic trimmerhead is an examination project for making an automatic trimmerhead for grass trimmers with the user and functionality in focus. Our perception is that a happy user is a user who can pick up his or her trimmer, use it and put it back to its place when the job is done. It should not be necessary to interrupt work and perform maintenance on the machine just to make it work as promised.The project has been made in collaboration with the company Husqvarna, which is one of the biggest actors dealing with garden machinery on the market. Together we determined the project goal, ?To invent, construct and test a brand new concept for how an automatic trimmerhead can look and function?.At this day there are several different automatic trimmerheads on the market, both semi and fully automatic.

Undersökningen genomfördes på 77 studenter där fördelningen var 59 kvinnor och 18 män. Studiens syfte och huvudhypotes var att undersöka om det gick att påverka implicita attityder gentemot homosexuella för en kort stund med fakta om homosexuella under en IAT-mätning, detta kunde inte påvisas. En Homosexuell Positiv Skala på 5 item användes som explicit jämförelse till IAT. Stor gradskillnad mellan HPS och IAT gav en låg korrelation dem emellan. Det gjorde att studien kunde styrka Noseks teori (2005) om moderatorer som påverkar förhållandet mellan implicita och explicita attitydmått.

Problem Faith in the power of advertising has varied largely through the ages, and since we know that advertising is paid for, it therefore has less weight than the usual news. Publicity through promotional activities is in turn difficult to control. The question which of these two ways to communicate with the market that is the most effective, is equally entitled to ask, as difficult to answer. Purpose/Aim This paper is designed as a pilot study with two different objectives that go hand in hand. The first overall aim is to investigate how advertising and PR / publicity can be measured with the same tools while designing this metric.

Bakgrund och problem: Goodwill har länge varit en omdiskuterad post i företags balansräkningar, inte minst efter finanskrisen som bröt ut under hösten år 2008. År 2005 infördes IFRS 3 för att förbättra kvaliteten vid redovisning av rörelseförvärv. Tidigare gjordes avskrivningar av goodwill varje år men i och med införandet av den nya standarden skall företagen istället göra årliga nedskrivningsprövningar. Dock verkar ingen tydlig bild finnas för hur nedskrivning och värdering av goodwill skall göras och goodwillposterna i företags balansräkningar har ökat sedan införandet av IFRS 3.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur de utvalda Low- och Hitechföretagen redovisat sin goodwill och att jämföra hur de har gjort sina nedskrivningar av goodwill. Med bakgrund till finanskrisen vill vi även se hur företagens redovisning av goodwill har påverkats.Avgränsningar: Denna undersökning omfattar bolag på Stockholmsbörsens Small-, Mid- och Largecaplistor.

In the future the Swedish pension system will face major problems. With an increasing aging population combined with a decreasing share of working population the financing of the pension system is becoming a bigger problem than previously predicted. This means the individual himself will have a bigger responsibility to invest money for their future retirement. It has been shown that a large proportion of the people who invests for their future pension have neither the interest nor the time to actively invest their pension capital. To make it easier for those who invest for their retirement, some Swedish banks have created so-called generation funds.
