The purpose of this essay was to find out whether the students, which had moved from the school of Gustaf Adolf to the school of Elineberg, had been integrated into their new environment. We chose to analyze the degree of integration concerning their schoolwork, how they interacted with the students from the new school, the school of Elineberg, and their level of wellbeing in their new school. We have used two methods, surveys and interviews, to be able to obtain the general picture of how the integration of the students has succeeded.Our conclusions are that the student has adapted well in their new school despite many obstacles along the way. Our essay shows that the students get along well with their new school friends during class, but they don´t socialise in their spear time. Although they seem to have accepted the closure of their old school some students express that they wish the school would be reopened.

Detta ¨ar en konceptstudiesom syftar till att presentera ett l¨onsamt och milj¨ov¨anligt alternativ till de helikoptrar som densvenska polisen anv¨ander men ¨aven f¨or andra civila till¨ampningar som ¨ar av intresse f¨or elbolagoch andra industrier. Resultatet ¨ar ett autonomt v¨atgasdrivet flygplan som kommunicerar viamobiln¨aten och som kan styras med endast en laptop och en antenn. Flygplanet har en sp¨annviddp°a 10 m, en marschfart p°a 175 km/h och en r¨ackvidd p°a 473 km.

Uppsatsen behandlar Internetkonsultbranschens utgallringsfas där företagen kämpar för sin överlevnad. Studien ser närmare på företaget Tromb Internet Solutions och fokuserar framförallt på dess interna och externa relationer. Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i Public Relationsteorin. Med hjälp av PR för att skapa kommunikation internt inom företaget, till partners och även till övriga intressenter. Vi finner att PR är en teori som är högst aktuell för, och applicerbar på, en Internetkonsult i dagsläget.

This thesis investigates the effect of profit growth and profitability on market capitalization amongst Nordic companies during the turbulent period 1997-2005. Our results suggest that profitability have a significant impact on market capitalization for six of the nine years studied, whereas profit growth does not seem to affect market capitalization. Consequently, our results imply that the effect of other factors on share price performance may be greater than previously suggested. These findings are only partly in line with theories on corporate valuation which suggest that market capitalizations are to a great extent driven by both profit growth and capital returns, regardless of whether the stock market is particularly unstable..

Companies today are exposed to a turbulent market with fierce competition and the ability toinnovate itself becomes increasingly important. But what innovation is and how it is managed is farfrom obvious. In this case study at EVRY the research questions are: ?What is innovation in ITconsultant companies?? and ?how can innovation be managed in IT consultant companies?? ITconsultancy is a complex type of business and their focus is often to innovate the customers businessrather than their own. The study is based on a literature review, field studies, unstructuredinterviews and an interpretive analysis.

Today there is no way of measuring or simulating turbulent flow in high Reynolds numberenvironments. The computational power required to simulate these conditions is not expectedto be available for several decades so instead the CICLoPE project aims at solving thisshortage by the construction of a long carbon fiber wind tunnel in which real measurementscan be made. To do accurate measurements it is of importance that the wind tunnel, 0.9 metersin diameter and 110 meters long, is as straight as possible.This master thesis treat the design and construction of a device which may be used to align thetunnel along a reference laser beam. A design is presented which allows the pipe to be alignedwithin about a quarter of a millimeter along its entire length. The electronic music studio ?Elektronmusikstudion? (EMS) inStockholm was initiated in 1963. It has had several different managers throughout the years. EMS soon became a rather costly project. Furthermore there have been several conflicts among staff and users wich has contributed to EMS fairly turbulent history.

Kännetecknande för IT-företag är att de verkar i en dynamisk och turbulent miljö där teknikskiften är vanligt förekommande. Personalen är kompetent och välutbildad och är dessa företags mest värdefulla tillgång. Cheferna/ledarna är i många fall betydligt yngre jämfört med"traditionella"ledare för andra börsnoterade bolag. Skiljer sig ledarskapet i dessa företag åt från ledarskapet i traditionella företag? Vi har i studien haft en fallstudieliknande ansats, där vi har intervjuat fyra ledare för IT-företag i Sverige.

In a complex and turbulent world, several companies begin to realize the value of information as a strategic resource and try to find strategies to manage this. This master thesis aims to describe the information management at Axis Communications AB. Axis is a fast growing company and due to this they have not been able to manage the flow of information whitin the company. To find out how the information was managed at this time we made a survey and employee interviews at three Axis business units. By analyzing the surveys and interviews we found several problems.

Stump wood was used between 1850 and 1950 for production of tar and as firewood. In the 1950s the use decreased because of the introduction of the cheap fossil oil. In the 1970s stump wood became an interesting issue again as a raw material for the pulp industry. Stump lifting has today become a possible source for bioenergy. The objectives with this study were to investigate the productivity of stump lifting and stump extraction, and to analyse the economy.
