History has always been a doctrine with several qualities. Control over historical documentation has long served as a power tool for great men, where the victor wrote history as he or she wanted to. But history has never been exclusive to those who hold power - on the contrary, history is a central part of each individual's life, whether it is true or false. It gives an understanding of why the world looks as it does, gives the identity, related and confirms the origin as well as inspire the epic hero tales that are not always completely true. Emerging infectious diseases are a recurring threat to both human and animal health. Understanding the multiple causes behind the emergence of new diseases is key to the prevention of new and potentially devastating outbreaks. The list of underlying causes is long, including a variety of anthropogenic, environmental, molecular and climatic changes that promote the emergence and spread of disease. Two of these factors are central to the emergence of new diseases and receive special attention in this study. The spread of disease from wildlife to livestock and diseases that spread from animals to humans (zoonoses) are of importance as they implicated in the majority of EID events.

The aim of the study was to test whether or not menstruating women?s levels of haemoglobin changed after three weeks consumption of Blutsaft. Previous studies on nutrition supplements including iron have shown increased haemoglobin levels. On Blutsaft, however, there are no studies carried out and published. The participants in this pilot study were menstruating women, with haemoglobin levels between 105 and 125 g/l at the initial part of the study.

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet substance that prevents blood coagulation in the arteries. It is an inactive pro drug that becomes activated after first-pass metabolism by the liver. The active metabolite of clopidogrel is 2-oxoclopidogrel, which is unstable therefore pharmacokinetic data is obtained by measuring the inactive metabolite clopidogrel acid in plasma. Clopidogrel is taken orally in tablet form. The aim of this project was to develop a LC-MS/MS method for quantification of clopidogrel and its metabolite in plasma. The method has been developed by optimizing the sample preparation.

The purpose of this paper was to examine the potential presence of a relationship between the quality of corporate financial disclosure and the volatility in stock price in the Swedish market. This was carried out by investigating the hypothesis that an accurate annual report with high information quality results in a decrease in volatility. Previous studies have been done with this approach and in some cases the above stated hypothesis was found to be true. Thus, in the absence of a perfect efficient market the level of information quality may to some extent explain the volatility in stock price. However, the result of our study gave no evidence in support of this hypothesis.

Women ledaers and profitability, is there a correlation? Earlier research show different outcome on the correlation between women leaders and profitability. A Swedish consultant firm, Caran has a belief that more women leaders would create more financial profit, we ask us if that is the true situation. Using two different IC measurement methods we have shown the difficulties in calculate intagible resources, which methods that can/ can not be used and if women leders create financial value. We found the women leaders in Caran to add more value per dollar spent on the woman leaders than the value added per dollar spent on men leaders.

Eight healthy 3-day-old foals were given repeated injections of trimethoprim-sulfadiazine intravenously for 3 days, at a dosage of 15 mg/kg bodyweight (2,5 mg trimethoprim and 12,5 mg sulfadiazine). Blood samples were collected prior to each administration and for the following 24 hours after last administration. Serum concentrations of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine were measured and the pharmacokinetics for the substances were studied. The elimination half time (t½) and clearance (ClB) for trimethoprim and sulfadiazine for the foals did not diverge from adult horses. According to these data it is possible to assume that the same dose interval and dose can be used for foals as for adult horses.

My aim is to provide knowledge about ways of understanding Intranet as a communication artifact. Today organizations plan to update their technology so as to make the communicative functions of Web 2.0 come true. With this objective in mind organizations will be prepared to meet social demands among staff. After interviewing intranet managers I have compiled qualitative data in categories. My approach is influenced by a phenomenographic approach.

AbstractIn this text the attitudes towards and using of blogs in teaching Swedish toteenagers will be explored. The results are based on a survey made amongst 17teachers and 58 students from all over Sweden. The end results show that theusage of blog still hasn?t found a permanent way into the classrooms, but has anappeal to and is being used by predominantly younger teachers both, male andfemale, with a positive response from students regardless of gender. This report is about the development of a prototype of a mobile application and a web application that will help diabetes patients in their own treatment and ease diabetes nurses work with their diabetes patients. The mobile application is a digital version of a diabetes diary used by the Örebro County Council primary care to ease in diabetes treatments. The report also covers tests with users which were conducted on potential users to get some sort of feedback from groups other than customer and colleagues. Tests with users showed that there was an interest in a mobile application and it was a highly appreciated project. The web application ease diabetes nurses in their work with their diabetes patients in the way that the web application can display graphs of the patient's blood glucose level. .

Inledning: Distriktssköterskor har ett stort ansvar gällande blodtrycksmätning samt uppföljning av patienter med risk för hypertoni eller som behandlas för hypertoni inom primärvården. Blodtrycksmätning är en undersökningsmetod som förutsätter att den utförs korrekt med hänsyn till felkällor och rätt förfarande för att mätvärdet ska kunna tolkas rätt. Det finns ett flertal olika riktlinjer för hur standardiserad blodtrycksmätning bör utföras. Att arbeta hälsofrämjande är grundläggande i distriktssköterskors förhållningssätt och samtal kring livsstilsåtgärder är en viktig del i samband med behandling och förbyggande av förhöjt blodtryck. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att kartlägga hur blodtrycksmätning går till vid besöket hos distriktssköterskan samt vilka aspekter som tas upp i samtalet i samband med besöket.

After I heard that two deadly accidents in farming 2003 were created by work with cattle, I got the idea of writing this degree project. So far there are not too many reports written about safety for the worker nor the animal. Therefore it will fit in with a report about safe handling of free stalled cattle. The Swedish Board of Agriculture would also like to do an information material about outside stalled cattle with this degree project as a background. The collecting of material was made by visiting farmers. The goal was to visit 15 ? 20 herds and when this is being written 19 herds have been visited.

The communist party Khmer Rouge took over the power in Cambodia in 1975, and ruled the country until the beginning of 1979. During these years they attempted to create a completely new society, a true Khmer nation, which involved massive economic and social reorganisation and elimination of people which did not fit in the new ideal.Three decades has passed since the genocide, and the senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge will now be tried in the Khmer Rouge tribunal, which consists of both Cambodian and international judges and prosecutors. The integrity of those tribunal representatives will be crucial for the integrity of the tribunal as a whole and thus also for the outcome of the processes. It is hard to determine whether the purposes for demand of accountability will be satisfied, it is though clear that there are many obstacles in the way for an unproblematic and fair procedure..
