Ett flertal undersökningar tyder på att utvecklingen av stöldbrott minskat det senaste decenniet i nästan alla Västeuropeiska länder. Syftet med denna studie är att med hjälp av offentlig kriminalstatistik från Brottsförebyggande rådet (Brå) och Home Office undersöka och jämföra stöldbrottslighetens utveckling mellan 1975-2010 i två västeuropeiska länder ? Sverige och England. Studien redogör för den generella utvecklingen av stöldbrott samt för tre huvudkategorier: inbrottsstölder, fordonsrelaterade stölder och butiksstölder. Studien kommer att lägga vikten på att redovisa och analysera trender istället för nivåer av brott och avser att undersöka vilken betydelse förändringar i tillfällesstrukturen har haft för stöldbrottsutvecklingen i dessa länder.Frågeställningar som skall besvaras är följande:Hur ser stöldbrottsutvecklingen ut i Sverige respektive England under perioden 1975-2010?Finns det några skillnader i stöldbrottstyp?Vilken betydelse har tillfällesstrukturen för utvecklingen av stöldbrott i dessa två västeuropeiska länder?En sammanfattning av studiens resultat visar att utvecklingen av stöldbrott i Sverige och England har en likartad neråtgående trend, men att det finns vissa skillnader vad gäller de olika kategorierna av stöldbrott.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how personnel working with asylum cases at the Swedish Migration Board handle their role as administrators of asylum. For the study 7 asylum administrators were interviewed and the analysis was made with influence from the method critical discourse analysis. To understand the themes in the analysis I have used Michael Lipskys theory about street-level bureaucrats. Main results from the analysis of the interviews were that the street-level bureaucrats had certain strategies for managing the difficult aspects of the job. The interviews also showed that the participating informants had difficulties with different identity positions..

The Uppsala based company Q-linea develops procedures, instruments and systems for protein and nucleic acid analysis. The components in such an instrument are controlled by microcontrollers. Microcontrollers are computers in one singular chip that can be used in a wide range of applications such as cars, toys or in this case an analysis instrument. When developing a new instrument for biochemical analysis, Q-linea needed new software for controlling and communicating between the components in the instrument. The process of developing this software is the subject of this thesis.The project included research of microcontrollers and the components in the instrument.

Background: Infectious Diseases Institute points out that the potential of various viraldiseases possibly can block each other. It is said that the virus that causes common cold,Rhinovirus, may have saved many people from the flu. If this assumption proves true, itwould explain why some viral diseases in some countries have been slow to take off and pointto a new way to struggle influenza. Objective: The main purpose of this study, based onreported cases of RSV and influenza type A, type B and H1N1, investigate whether viraldiseases can block each other, i.e. difficult season of flu may delay and / or mitigate thespread of RSV in Sweden.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the identity of the public librarianwith regard to reading is manifested in the library field. The approaches thatare taken to reading and readers are examined as well as the consequencesdifferent approaches might have. The empirical material is based on 93articles published in Swedish library journals. The theoretical andmethodological starting point is discourse analysis. This study aims to describe and analyze how recruiters translate, use, and relate to AI in their work. Through a qualitative method based on semi-structured interviews and document analysis, the study explores recruiters? experiences, attitudes, as well as perceived obstacles and opportunities regarding the use of AI in recruitment. With a theoretical foundation in translation theory, fashion, and imitation, the study examines how AI is not only followed as a trend, but also shaped and adapted locally through translation, depending on organizational identity and needs.
