I följande text avser jag att analysera Man of Tai Chi och undersöka förhållandet mellan Kina och Hollywood. Kina blir en alltmer viktig marknad för filmbolag från Hollywood och hur de förhåller sig till varandra på film.Kung fu-filmens spridning har inneburit andra kulturella uttryck, från Bruce Lee som symbol mot imperialistiskt förtryck i tredje världen, till att bidra med formande av nya bildsspråk i filmer som The Matrix. Hur kan en transnationell samproduktion mellan kinesiska och västerländska bolag se ut? I följande uppsats undersöker jag produktionsförhållanden och mottagande av filmen Man of Tai Chi och i slutsatsen kommer jag fram till att filmen misslyckats ur ett kommersiellt perspektiv..

The aim of this research is to develop a better understanding of how preschool-teachers respond to children in preschool, when they show that they want to have some influence. I have concentrated this study on how the preschool-teachers respond to the children in the gatherings and when the children are playing freely indoors, where the questions at issue are:How do the preschool-teachers respond to the children?s initiative for participation in the gathering and while playing freely?There have been four preschool-teachers and 14 children who have taken part in this study. The children who took part are in the ages of three to five. The study was done at a section in a preschool in middle Sweden.The method used in this study is unstructured observations.

Under de senaste decennierna har fokus riktats mot att effektivisera de utgående transporterna, vilket gjort att de inkommande transporterna kommit i skymundan. Företagen har dock på senare tid kommit till insikt om den potential som finns i att även förbättra de inkommande transporterna. Syftet med rapporten var från början att studera hur de inkommande transporterna fungerar samt ur ett kostnadsperspektiv utvärdera potentialen för förbättring. Under studiens gång skedde dock en syftesförskjutning på grund av problem vid fallstudieföretaget. Arbetet kom att fokuseras mer på kartläggning av inkommande transporterna, än på metoder för att förbättra konkurrenskraften, då detta område visade sig vara ett större problem än väntat.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the research library of Linnæus University is used by students as a meeting place. Building upon Putnam's theory of bonding and bridging social capital and Audunson's conception of high and low intensive meeting places, it aims to explore the research library's potential for creating social capital and thus strengthening both learning and democracy in a university context. Borrowing part of the survey design from a study conducted as part of the Norwegian PLACE project, this study collects responses from 134 students as to their use of the library as a meeting place. The results show that the Linnæus University library is used for a variety of meetings of both high and low intensity, why it should provide a good setting for the creation of social capital. There seems to be a connection between how often one visits the library, as well as to which department one belongs, and how one uses the library as a meeting place.

Produktansvar är det ansvar en tillverkare, säljare eller någon annan har för skada som uppkommer genom en levererad produkts skadebringande egenskaper. Enligt gällande rätt kan en säljare bli ansvarig gentemot en kommersiell köpare i Sverige för produktskador på två grunder, dels culpa, dels garanti. Garantiansvar innebär att en säljare blir strikt ansvarig för skadan, om han på ett eller annat sätt har garanterat att den levererade varan inte skall ge upphov till några skador. Vad som kan rymmas inom en säljares garantiansvar är oklart, det finns i dagsläget inga fastställda regler för när en säljare kan bli ansvarig till följd av garanti men genom praxis kan man utläsa att den kan vara både uttrycklig och underförstådd.Enligt min mening finns det två ? eventuellt tre ? slags underförstådda garantiförpliktelser.

I illustrate how these issues interact and whether they have changed due to the recent development of technology and if so, how. The thesis is based on interviews with two directors of libraries and two librarians at two different libraries. A small survey with 16 questionnaires has also been performed in order to get a more general view on librarians' opinions in these questions. The thesis mainly shows that the networks in which the respondents take part primarily exist in the library sphere and towards the universities.

This thesis is structured as a combined empirical and literary study. The aim is to investigate how children at the age of 11-12 years reflect on their readings of fiction and how these reflections relate to the librarians' perspective of a child's reading ability and reading development. Qualitative interviews with children and librarians constitute the empirical part. Research and theories are compared to the empirical part then placed into a more extensive context. How do children at the age of 11-12 years old reflect upon their reading of fiction and how do librarians relate themselves to this age? An analysis using interviews, research and theories is used to answer these questions.

Global warming is going to affect our society in many ways. One can say that the problem we face has two different sides. One of those sides has received a lot of attention, namely how we can reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases. However, because of the climate system's inertia the climate will continue to evolve over a period, no matter how much we will cut back on emissions. Because of this, we have to start adapting our society to the climate changes that we cannot influence.

Energy losses are an essential part of a power grid company?s costs. From anenvironmental and economic perspective, it is important to reduce these costs. Toknow where efforts should be deployed, it is important to have good knowledge ofwhere in the network losses are situated. When creating network tariffs, there is alsonecessary to have a correct distribution such that the network customers that use acertain part of the network, only pays for the network losses in this area.

Historical research about the so-called New Left was until the late 1990s an entirely newacademic field in Swedish academia. However, a large part of this research still deals withquestions concerning ?who did what? and perhaps more notably ?who was right?.This thesis is an attempt to move away from such inquiries and instead look towardshow one albeit small but very important part of this so-called New Left discussed andused the term America and things American. Formed largely around the Anti-WarMovement, the Marxist-Leninist ? or ?Maoist? ? Left naturally opposed US worldpolicies; but perhaps more interesting a significant part of the ideas about America andthe Vietnam War seemed to stem from USA itself ? such as naming your anti-war folkgroup ?Freedom Singers? after the US civil rights group ?The Freedom Singers?.Analyzing three Swedish Marxist-Leninist magazines the study thus complements theresearch on not only the Swedish New Left but also the study of anti-Americanisms;firstly, by examining what the Marxist-Leninist left considered particularly American;secondly, by studying in what context these particular Americanism was discussed; and,thirdly, by observing if these notions changed over time, and why.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the established law and make researches into non-institutional compulsory care (?mellantvång?) paragraph 22 The Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (from now on called LVU) and examine whether the administration of the law is in harmony with the best interests of the child.This paper combines two methods : traditional judicial method and a social science method. In the juridical part the sources of law have been studied and in the social sciences part semi-structured interviews have been conducted with five respondents. The theoretical framework consists of ideas and theories about the best interests of the child, a concept which is one of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child's core principles.This study shows that the legislator has identified a problem and an existing need and found a solution to this by introducing a non-institutional compulsory care, paragraph 22 LVU. The problem is that Social Services do not make use of the restraint.

Genom att observera ledare i videoupptagningar har ett försök gjorts att identifiera och kvantifiera kännetecknande drag för kommunikativt ledarskap. Några tendenser till vad som är kännetecknande är ett metaforiskt och personligt språk. Kommunikativa ledare anpassar sin talhastighet som gör att uppmärksamheten kvarstår hos mottagarna utan att förståelsen går förlorad. Talhastigheten får således varken vara för snabb eller för långsam. Alla ledare i studien använder sig av tredje person i sina tal och de flesta använder negativa ord mer än positiva.

The aim of our study is to gain understanding of how parentsperceive their own, the preschool's, and the library's efforts to stimulate preschoolers' enjoyment and yearning to read, as well as what types of collaborative efforts the parents seek.The study is based upon qualitative interviews with parents, both mothers and fathers, to preschool children (aged 1.5 to 6 years old). The analysis does not offer any generalizations. We have chosen to use a sociocultural perspective as the theoretical starting-point of our study, our thoughts being that we learn together with and by the help of others. We consider this perspective to be closely related to Aidan Chambers's "The Reading Circle", which we have chosen to use as our tool of analysis.It turned out that the parents perceived their own reading stimulating role as crucial, even if they did not consider all they did as reading stimulative. Some things, such as discussing the book while reading, occurred naturally but is also an important part to stimulate reading.

This is an essay about health promotion and organisation development. The problem concerning all health issues that can be tied to work related illnesses has long been a problem in Sweden. For example did this problem alone cost the Swedish government 25 million crones a day between the years 2000-2001. This is a major issue and there is lots of money to save in this area. This is why we wanted to research how to promote health by changing the structure of the selected company.
