The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the democratization process in Kurdistan on the basis of consolidation democracy with focus on arenas defined by Linz and Stepan (1997), namely economic, political, legal, civil society and arenas of state bureaucracy. Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

In the farrowing pens the amount of bedding material and the quality of the concrete floor has a huge impact on both the sow and the piglets. In this study imbedding of rubber flooring on the solid area in the farrowing pen was used to see if it had any effects on the sows lying behaviour when compared to concrete. Another important aspect was to evaluate if the rubber floorings had a high enough durability to resist the normal wear in a farrowing pen. Concrete flooring is assumed to have a higher thermally conductive effect then rubber which can affect the sow?s chance to cool down.

The aim of this paper was to describe hindering and facilitating factors in the Transition from upper secondary school and employment for a person with Asperger?s syndrome. In the process we used general systems theory and made semi-structured interviews with five persons in the network of institutions and associations working with the individual. Our findings showed that the hindering and facilitating factors were basically the same depending of the environmental adjustments. The interviews highlighted the following factors: the recent general unemployment rate in Sweden, selfawareness of the individual and the surrounding environment?s knowledge of the individual?s impairment in relation to Asperger?s syndrome.

With the introduction of IFRS, the IASB left the previously used method of amortization and instead introduced fair value. Studies show that firms manipulate the value of goodwill based on agency related incentives and opportunities, such as bonus payment, management tenure and acquisition of firms. The responsibility of checking the quality of financial reports, and give other market participants reasons to trust them, is primarily on accountants. The Transition to fair value thus creates a problem for accountants to actually check the fair values produces by firms. Our purpose is to investigate whether the working method of accountants is purposeful in order to maintain the credibility of goodwill values.

We have through our theoretical framework been able to create a simplified measuring tool for a KIZ; the S-TKL. We have found that the S-TKL is possible to implement on the Öresund Region but with some flaws. Even though the Öresund Region has implemented the mindset of a KIZ, accurate statistics are in some areas hard to find. We can also through our empirical findings say that it is difficult to use the S-TKL on Shenzhen. The data we have found gives a good indication of both of the regions.

The purpose of our essay is to study the institutional-, demographic and accounting theoretical factors that influence an organisations actuarial commitment.The research was performed through a web based survey, with complimentary telephone interviews, directed to companies listed on Stockholm Stock Exchange A- and O-list on the 30 of November, 2003.Our data was analysed with a Median test, Kolomogorov-Smirnov test, T-test and a Mann-Whitney test. The purpose of the Mann-Whitney test was the low number of respondents that took part in the research. The Kolomogorov-Smirnov test was done to determine whether the population variances was equal or not. The data showed that organisations with a majority of female employees assume a lower salary increase, and a higher average age than other companies with a male majority. Only 2 of 11 hypothesis can be accepted as temporary truths but several other visible relations are indicated in our research, but can not be statistically proved.We think that the major problem with our is the time it was performed.

Customer Relationship Management This bachelor thesis is brought together to analyze the transformation from traditional marketing to Customer Relationship Management. The development in the technology world has made the marketing focus shift from products and their functionality to customers and value creation. Because of the tougher competition that developed from new channels of communication, corporations had to generate new sources of value for their customers in order to establish lasting relationships with them. Therefore we found it interesting to investigate how companies within the e-commerce business handle the Transition towards customer relationship management.

This thesis is a study of social movements and their possibilities to effect politics by infuencing values in society through framing. I've looked upon social movements from a functionalistic-structuralistic perspective, as if they were carriers of values from people that otherwise won't be represented in the political life. The values that the social movements are struggling for can affect both the opinion and the decision-makers since the social movements in an active way are trying ti influence the society. The thesis examines the political opportunities that social movements hav to mobilise and grow. I have looked at different factors that either improve or make the political opportunities worse.

Studiens syfte har varit att undersöka hur två gymnasieskolor med olika huvudmän arbetar med elevinflytandet och elevers påverkansmöjligheter och hur detta kan förhålla sig till begreppet en likvärdig skola. Fyra kvalitativa djupintervjuer har gjorts med två rektorer och två elever på skolorna. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten för studien har visat att skolorna gått igenom olika faser kring elevinflytandet som liberalisering, Transition och konsolidering vilket ses som en demokratisk lärprocess för att utveckla elevinflytandet. Resultatet visar att rektorerna arbetar på olika sätt med elevinflytandet där såväl formella och kollektiva som informella och individuella påverkanskanaler, används för att säkerställa elevinflytandet. Eleverna på skolorna hade möjligheter att påverka liknande intresseområden som exempelvis skolmiljön och undervisningsrelaterade frågor och menade att de kunde vara med och påverka och nå ett inflytande över skolan.

In order to achieve comparability, which is one of the fundamental principles of accounting, companies should be consistent concerning the accounting policies they use. Only under certain circumstances changes in accounting policies are allowed, and when there is a change in accounting policies, it is important that the change is reported in a way that assures that the financial reports still achieve comparability. The purpose of this thesis is to establish which rules and recommendations about changes in accounting policies that exist in Swedish and German law and what their meaning is. Further, the purpose is to compare these rules and recommendations and discuss their differences and similarities, advantages and disadvantages. Since publicly traded European companies will be obliged to prepare their consolidated accounts in conformity with International Accounting Standards (IAS) from 2005, I also describe the content of IAS 8 which deals with changes in accounting policies, and discuss what the consequences of this Transition might be for Swedish and German publicly traded companies considering changes in accounting policies.

I den palliativa vården ses döden som en naturlig händelse som varken ska skyndas på eller fördröjas. För personer som är sjuka kan det upplevas som skrämmande att tvingas möta verkligheten och konfronteras med sin sjukdom. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att beskriva personers upplevelser av att leva med en palliativ diagnos. Tolv vetenskapliga studier analyserades med en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: att inte ha makten över sin tid och sin kropp, att vilja vara hemma och leva som förut, att prioritera det som ger mening, att vilja känna sig trygg och förstådd i vården samt att förbereda sig själv och familjen inför döden.

En enkätstudie genomfördes bland arbetslösa i åldern 18-30 år som var inskrivna på kommunala arbetsmarknadsenheter i syfte att undersöka sambandet mellan skolutbildning och arbetslivserfarenhet för söka-jobb self-efficacy. Resultatet visar ett signifikant samband mellan arbetslivserfarenhet för söka-jobb self-efficacy. Resultatet ligger i linje med tidigare forskning och bedöms bero bland annat på den positiva påverkan arbetslivserfarenhet har för en individs kontaktnät på arbetsmarknaden samt kunskaper om regler, attityder och normer Det finns även ett signifikant samband mellan skolutbildning för söka-jobb self-efficacy. Även detta resultat ligger i linje med tidigare forskning. Studien fann ingen interaktion mellan skolutbildning och arbetslivserfarenhet för söka-jobb self-efficacy.

Today, there are more than 12 000-14 000 farms worldwide using an automatic milking system (AMS). Studies have shown that Transition to AMS affects the udder health of cows adversely, recognized primarily as elevated somatic cell counts. There are several reasons for this, for example the greater variation in milking frequency seen in AMS. On one hand, short milking intervals may lead to bad teat condition of the cows due to the stress the milking procedure exposes the teats to. Too long milking intervals, on the other hand, seem to predispose for milk leakage, which is, in turn, a risk factor for the development of mastitis.
