We were accepted to the field study Dignity and therefore chose to write our thesis in connection with it. Our subject is the oasis of Siwa in Egypt. The society has long been isolated, and therefore, the city has been able to preserve their handicraft methods and values. We chose to study the Ecological and Handicraft Development Center, which is a newly opened center for craft production. We wanted to see how the centre could use storytelling as a marketing strategy.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka lokalbefolkningens köpbeteenden i en småstad, för att definiera eventuella brister och föreslå förbättringsmöjligheter för denna cityhandel. I uppsatsen har vi därför undersökt vilka mönster som framträder när det gäller invånarnas köpbeteenden och hur cityhandeln påverkar dessa. Vi valde att använda oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi utförde ett antal gruppintervjuer med fokus på olika åldersgrupper. Vi lät även respondenterna föra dagbok under några veckor. Detta för att kunna identifiera mönster av köpbeteenden i olika åldersstrukturer.

Background: Over the past 30 years the incidence of overweight and obesity has increased. Obesity is a risk factor for many diseases, for instance type 2 Diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, many types of cancer and musculoskeletal diseases. That ready available food today is so accessible can be a reason for the public health problems of overweight and obesity.Objective: The aim was to study what possibilities and barriers there are for fast-food restaurants to sell healthy food.Methods: Information was collected by seven telephone interviews and two respondents answered by e-mail. Nine persons that were in charge of the menu at different fast-food restaurant chains in Sweden participated in the study.Results: To have a large variety was considered to be a problem for selling healthy food, also because the sale of it was low in some of the fast-food chains. Some of the informants did not find any problems with selling healthy food and it was regarded as an opportunity to get more consumers.Conclusion: The demand for healthier food has increased, and the offer and sales of it has also escalated.

The terrorist attack that shocked the world the 11th of September 2001, when two hijacked aircrafts flew into the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York, came to change the world view for many people especially Americans that felt that the world around them where about to collapse. A new time had begun, a more frighten one. A new kind of terrorism where seen in the dawn, a kind that never had been more evil, and there for was passed to be extremely dangerous. The United States followed by the United Kingdom decided quickly to declare war against the terrorism. Unavoidable this decision led to the development of new interpretations of public international law when the US where unwilling to follow the rule of law.

This bachelor of economics paper discuss that the increasing globalization has put the small companies in the Swedish textile and clothing industry in a situation where internationalization has become a necessity. Furthermore has the European Union lead to that this type of companies has to seek growth on foreign markets with great socio cultural distance from the home country, Sweden. Nowadays there?s no time to internationalize in the same course of action like before. Before, the Swedish companies begun their operations abroad in fairly nearby countries and only gradually penetrated more far-flung markets.

Telemedicine is the use of information and communication technology to provide clinical health care at a distance. This approach is usually adopted to bridge the distance in rural settings, but it is also a method to meet demographical and economical challenges. Västerbotten, a sparsely populated county with an ageing population, is in leading edge when it comes to telemedicine. The purpose of this report was to examine the diffusion and the inventory of telemedicine in the county council of Västerbotten from a geographical perspective. To gain a deeper understanding of diffusion and inventory of telemedicine, my purpose was also to examine these processes from an international and national perspective.

The purpose of the study was to learn how social structures can enable accessibility, by asking persons with visual impairment about their experiences of accessibility in the public environment in the city of Stockholm. Eleven adults with visual impairments, living in the city of Stockholm, were interviewed using two separate focus groups. The study was carried out with the objective to allow for the participants to be involved in the research process. The resulting data was analyzed on the basis of Nancy Fraser?s theory on social justice, focusing on the conceptions; needs, politicised needs, redistribution, recognition and misrecognition.

Recent years there has been discussed how the critical situation in the housing market threatens the Stockholm region's growth. The thesis objective is to examine whether there is a scientific link between the lack of housing supply and growth. The thesis also intends to identify solutions for increased housing construction, for instance by examining the conditions for a greater regional perspective and influence on the region's housing supply. The thesis empirical study is based on semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Government, municipalities and the housing industry.In Sweden, research on the relationship between housing shortages and growth has not been conducted to that extent it can be said to exist scientific evidence regarding the growth threat. However, in Britain and the U.S, empirical studies show that a lack of housing supply has hindered growth through negative impact on countries' gross domestic product.

Tidigare forskning visar att patienten kan ha sexuella problem som kan vara fysiska och/eller psykiska, dessa kan till exempel vara smärta och obehag vid penetration, urinläckage, vaginal lubrikation, utebliven orgasm, och erektionsproblem. Samhällets syn på sexualitet påverkar såväl patientens som sjuksköterskans syn på sexualitet och kan ge svårigheter vid diskussion om sexualitet. För att underlätta för sjuksköterskan vid kommunikation med patienten om sexualitet finns det en modell (PLISSIT-modellen). Trots teoretiska hjälpmedel tycks sjuksköterskan ha svårigheter med att diskutera sexualitet med patienten. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad det är som hindrar sjuksköterskan att diskutera sexualitet med patienten.

Uppsatsens syfte är att skapa en bättre förståelse kring samarbetet och rörligheten mellan var och en av de fyra stora revisionsfirmorna över sundet. Detta med ett huvudsakligt fokus på revision. Uppsatsens studie är kvalitativ och utförd med hjälp av intervjuer för att svara på forskningsfrågan; Hur samarbetar The Big Four över Öresund och upplever de någon rörlighet? Teorin om strategiska allianser, GATS modes och institutionell kontext utgör den teoretiska referensramen.Sammanlagt har åtta intervjuer utförts med respondenter på var och en av de fyra stora revisionsfirmorna på båda sidorna av sundet. Slutsatsen kan dras att där är ett tydligt samarbete inom var och en av de fyra stora revisionsfirmorna och den största fördelen av samarbetet är kunskapsöverföringen mellan kontoren i var och en av firmorna.

SammanfattningSyftet: Att sammanställa vad som fanns beskrivet i vetenskaplig litteratur om bedömningsinstrument som kan användas av arbetsterapeuter för bedömning av behov av bostadsanpassning för vuxna med främst fysiskt funktionsnedsättning. Metod: Systematisk litteraturstudie med sökning på fyra sökord i sju databaser. För att få ytterligare information om de funna bedömningsinstrumenten gjordes en manuell sökning via artiklarnas referenslistor för att kunna besvara frågeställningarna.  Resultat: Författarna fann sju bedömningsinstrument som bedömde olika aspekter av miljön i relation till person och/eller aktivitet. Inget av bedömningsinstrumenten var avsett att enbart bedöma behovet av bostadsanpassning. Resultatet styrker behovet av bedömningsinstrument som innehåller både observation och självskattningsmoment för att få en helhetsbild av miljöns tillgänglighet och användbarhet. Konklusion:  Arbetsterapeuter som bedömer behovet av bostadsanpassning behöver bedömningsinstrument som mäter både subjektiva och objektiva aspekter av hemmiljö.

Under de senaste åren har försäljningen av rättvis handelsprodukter ökat markant. Denna utveckling berättar om en växande medvetenhet om konsumtionens baksidor hos människor i allmänhet.Inom rättvis handelsrörelsen är aktörers och produkters visuella identitet ett aktuellt ämne och det pågår diskussioner om dessa, om än i andra termer. Det har dock ännu inte skrivits så mycket inom detta område vilket motiverar min undersökning.Den här uppsatsen behandlar frågeställningen Vilken form har rättvis handel? Hur framstår rättvis handels visuella identitet idag genom rörelsens aktörer och deras produkter? Frågeställningarna exemplifieras och besvaras i uppsatsen genom ett designpedagogiskt projekt. En workshop, med deltagare som hade en direkt eller indirekt anknytning till världsbutiken Fair Trade Shop i Stockholm, fungerade som en sorts utgångspunkt för projektet.

Addressing increasing global environmental problems requires greater resource efficiency, and one way of working towards this is through industrial symbiosis. Industrial symbiosis means that companies collaborate through sharing of resources for collective benefits. The documented benefits of working with industrial symbiosis indicate that there is potential for companies to operate commercially with facilitation of industrial symbiosis. An interesting company to study within this context is Econova. Econova operates within the recycling and gardening industry and has been identified as a possible catalyst for industrial symbiosis.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how same-sex couples experience the second-parent adoption process. To assist us, we have used our questions: how do the couples describe their experiences of the adoption process? Which are the couples? stories about the experience of contact with the involved professionals? What are the opportunities and barriers for same-sex couples to start a family? How do the couples describe their experience of reactions from the community and society, and how do they think the future will look like for same-sex couples? This study has been achieved through a qualitative approach. The empirical data is based on seven semi-structured interviews with same-sex couples or pair members that want to or have had a second-parent adoption. The theory we have used for analyzing the results is phenomenology with focus on queer theory, heteronormativity, and power.
