Syftet med studien var att undersöka begreppet Det kompetenta barnet. Genom att undersöka toddlares förmågor och kompetenser i ett undersökande arbetssätt, ville jag se vilka kompetenser som barnen visar och hur det kan förhålla sig till bilden av det kompetenta barnet. Jag ville undersöka på vilka sätt barnen kommunicerade med varandra i undersökandet. Med fenomenen flyta och sjunka, som ämnesinnehåll i barnens undersökande, ville jag se hur barnen använder sig av de olika materialen och hur de uttrycker sig kring fenomenen. Jag ville även i denna studie undersöka vilka miljöerbjudanden och invitationer till handling som utemiljön erbjuder barnen i undersökandet.

Effektivitet är för många organisationer ett begrepp som förknippas med att utnyttja sina resurser maximalt. Detta är något som även är märkbart inom svenskt skogsbruk, där man idag är mycket mån om att vara resurseffektiv i sin verksamhet. Det finns dock fler innebörder av effektivitet som begrepp. Toyota, med sitt Toyota Production System, och lean production har bevisat att en flödeseffektiv process med kundfokusering kan vara ett framgångsrikt arbetssätt. Denna studie tar upp lean production som teori i svenskt skogsbruk och knyter an denna mot virkesanskaffningsprocessen.

The main objective of this study was to evaluate animal welfare situation in Ethiopia during slaughter and to investigate chain activities between animal markets and Kera abattoir in Addis Abeba. In total, 442 animals were observed within 52 groups of cattle; both ox and calves with different breeds. The study was divided into four different sets of data collection; behavioural observations, recording of slaughter process, observation during transport and interview. During the behavioural observations, an ethogram was used with 46 behaviours observed, categorised into 5 different groups. The data was calculated using Excel and SAS. This study deals with one of the most discussed work environmental issues in the modern society of Sweden today - work related stress, its causes and how stress can affect people in their working situation. Our study is based on a questionnaire among aid handling officers in two municipalities of the middle of Sweden, and two interviews with their directors. We found that aid handling officers has a complex occupational role. We also found that the officers in these two municipalities experiences about the same level of stress.Further in the study, we will deal with whatever could be the cause of the stressful situation, using the demand/control model of Karasek and Theorell. The result shows that despite the similarity of the stress experience, the cause was shown to be different.

Holmen Skog AB is an important supplier of conifer pulpwood to the Iggesund Paperboard mill. After logging and transport to the landing by a forwarder, the wood is loaded on trucks for further transport, often by using separate loaders. During this handling process considerable amounts of stone material is sometimes mixed into the pulpwood and this causes problems for the industry. The aim of this study is to identify which part of the chain from forest to pulpmill, that contributes the most to this contamination. Sizes and total volumes of the contaminating stones were also investigated.

This study is focused on small scale water and wastewater handling in Sweden. The study is divided into two major parts; the first describes common methods for water- and wastewater handling and the second part is a case study on three small and expensive systems in Gällivare municipality, in the north of Sweden. In the case study, abilitys for the local government to hand over unwanted systems to the water users is investigated and found to be a plausible solution to cut costs for two out of the three studied systems. In the third case, water and wastewater systems is not recommended to be handed over but other ways of cutting costs are suggested..

Syfte: Studiens syfte har varit att utifrån en socialpedagogisk modell bestående av fyra teman; relation, läroprocesser, genus och praktisk handling, undersöka tre verksamheter inom socialt arbete. Vidare handlar det om att försöka förstå och förklara hur de yrkesverksamma handlar och reflekterar i arbetet, utifrån den socialpedagogiska modellen.Metod: Kvalitativ metod har använts vid materialinsamlingen, bearbetningen och analysen av data, genomgående under hela forskningsprocessen. Genom fem halvt strukturerade intervjuer har det empiriska materialet samlats in. Intervjuerna har kompletterats med deltagande observationer av de yrkesverksamma i arbetet.Slutsatser: Studiens slutsatser är att de professionella arbetar utifrån den socialpedagogiska modellen när de; skapar relationer med vardaglig och informell prägel, utformar läroprocesser i syfte att främja social förändring, synliggör genusstrukturer genom reflektion och handling, samt använder aktiviteter och samarbetsövningar i organiseringen av arbetet. As a company it is required to work with strategies to minimize costs such as packaging and logistic costs. The increased market of industrial produced wooden buildings results that the time and the cost which the packaging of prefabricated building elements consume, is experienced to be in greater need of development than before and demands a better solution. The aim with this dissertation was to discover how the development of the handling of the packaging can improve the packaging process. The goal was to present improvement proposals for a simplified and thereby a more efficient production in time and cost perspective.The packaging process which includes packaging, handling, storage and transport were studied. Interviews were made with participants from the market for manufacturers of wooden houses and a case study was made at the company A-hus.

The purpose of this study is to give a description of how six pedagogues in the third and fourth grade teaches mathematics and which working methods they use. When using the term working methods it is implied that it can for example be outdoors pedagogic, laboratory material, problem solutions et cetera. This material can both be an everyday material or a pedagogical material. The research was carried through by interviews and observations. Six pedagogues were interviewed in two different districts.
