This study's main objective was to identify adolescents participation in alternative sport activities and which kind of physical activity that was preferred by adolescents who didn't had any earlier experience of sport clubs. The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. Who participate in alternative sport activities can depend on habitus, comprehended capital forms and in which social field the sport activities exists..

Caring for children at hospital with palliative care needs arouses different reactions in nurses and depends on what prior knowledge and experience nurses have. To besides shift focus from to care children palliative to care curative is further a strain and an emotional changeover. The aim of this study was to illuminate nurse?sperceptions about caring for children at hospital with palliative care needs, and how they shift focus of care between children with palliative care needs and children with curative care needs. The study has a qualitative approach and data were collected with interviews from two focus groups.

The purpose of this study was to implement an energy analysis and environmental evaluation of the property Hemsta 12:16 in Gävle. Based on two different methods, Energy Balance calculation and Environmental Building, the result of the property's energy use, energy performance and environmental impacts are presented. Except that, measures to reduce final energy consumption are presented.      The proposed measures can reduce energy usage by 100 400 kWh / year, which represents a decrease of 18% of the present energy usage. Syftet med denna studie var att testa och beskriva aspekter av reliabilitet och validitet av två versioner av Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) på svenska, FSS 1 och FSS 2, vid mätning av trötthet hos patienter med systemisk lupus erythematosus (SLE). Metod: Två grupper av patienter med stabil SLE, låg sjukdomsaktivitet och liten organskada inkluderades. Diskriminant validitet för FSS 1 testades på 32 kvinnor med SLE och 35 friska kvinnor. Följande test av FSS 1 och FSS 2 gjordes på 23 patienter med SLE: Tak- och golveffekter, intern konsistens, stabilitet över tid (test-retest) samt innehållsvaliditet uttryckt som faktoranalys och innehållsvaliditet sett ur patienternas perspektiv vad gäller FSS 2. Resultat: FSS 1 kunde signifikant särskilja kvinnor med SLE från friska kvinnor.

One of the motivating factors behind this choice is the lack of earlier research on the subject, particularly qualitative research. The theoretical framework is stratified into three associated levels with Brenda Dervin?s sense-making theory on an individual level, Marianne Andersson?s and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the roles of public libraries on an institutional level and Pierre Bourdieu?s theoretical apparatus on a social level.

This shows that the interest and demand for the staffing industry and its activities are now rising at an increasingly faster pace. This is an industry that is operating under specific conditions and with a geographically dispersed workforce. This will make the leaders of a staffing company to an important link between the staffing leaders and the staffing personnel.The relationship between the staffing company's leaders and its personnel is important, but not completely trouble free. Difficulties arise in that the employees may be located in different places and at various client companies with the result that the leaders of the staffing company cannot have a daily personal contact with their geographically dispersed personnel.We have used a qualitative approach on our paper and our empirical methodology has been a case study with ethnography and interviews.

Today Holmen Skog finds and selects suitable thinning stands using data on upper height and basal area. These figures are often based on basic forest data that has been updated with the help of growth prediction models. The problem is that these figures are not always correct. The aim of this study was to investigate if a combination of data from a profiling laser and a digital camera for low elevation photography, can be used for collecting data on number of stems per ha, tree species mixture as well as basal area weighted mean height and upper height for stands. The possibility to use these data to assess the need for thinning cutting was also investigated.Laser data and aerial photographs were collected from a helicopter operating at an approximate height of 100 meters.

This thesis is performed as a case study, and has had the aim to study who has the power over cultural heritage, by studying the digitization selection criteria at KB and what influences there can be on the digitization selection process. The theory of the arm?s length principle, (Mangset, Kunst og makt, 2013) the professional model, (Rothstein, 2010), that digitization re-shape and re-contextualize cultural heritage material, (Dahlström et al. 2013), and different concepts will influence the digitization selection process has been used in this study. A qualitative research with document study and informant interview and e-mail interview has been conducted.

Street trees have had a prominent role in Vetlandas history from the turn of the century up to present day. Many trees have unfortunately been taken away through the ages, but most of them luckily remains and most of the streets in central Vetlanda are still tree lined. The comprehensive inventory that has been made shows that lime is the dominant species in Vetlanda with no less than 62 %. The age division is quite even with one peak at the turn of the century, one during the ?60s and another during the ?90s.

This bachelors thesis is based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted in various spaces forLGBTQIA+ people in two of the bigger cities in Sweden. The field covered in the researchranges from culture-centers with permanent queer spaces and nightlife venues such as bars andclubs as well as spaces that temporarily host events. Some of which are organized with aseparationist angle, while others are open to the non-LGBTQIA+ public as well. The physicalenvironment and its terms affect the social landscape that takes shape inside of these spaces.With the existance of, and continued application of limitations on public space created for theLGBTQIA+ community, the environments create the conditions for queer life in Sweden.Through analysis of the lived experiences and reflections of LGBTQIA+ people, the goal ofcreating more separatistic spaces, excluding the cis-hetero normative society -whilesimultaneously building spaces meant for specific parts of the LGBTQIA+ community has beendocumented through this study. Acting on this goal and documenting it can be seen as an act ofresistance of the current developments in LGBTQIA+ spaces.

The objective of this thesis was to investigate what influence nature conservation measures taken at regeneration felling. Factors analysed were the forest owners´ situation and their characters, and information activities from wood-suppliers and the Regional Forest Board (RFB). The inventory was performed with a posted questionnaire followed up by telephone to forest owners and a posted questionnaire to wood-buyers. The forest owners were grouped in three strata, depending on the quality results (D- polytax inventory) of the taken forest conservation measures, and for this investigation forest owners were sampled from the population in the tree groups. In total 73 % (41/56) of the sampled forest owners answered the questionnaire Group A (17 answers): Good judgement Group B (19 answers): Bad judgement Group C (5 answers): This group was formed from the forest owners that were informed, by RFB, about nature conservation measures and culture history consideration before the regeneration cutting.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur de utformade teorierna om delaktighet appliceras på ett fallföretag, för att granska hur dessa fungerar i praktiken. Hur utformade modeller och teorier gällande delaktighet konkret tillämpas i ett opererande företag på den svenska marknaden var något vi ville undersöka. Det behandlas även i denna kandidatsuppsats om vikten av att skänka de anställda möjligheten att delta, samt hur detta berör dessa. In this essay I have looked more closely at different means of grinding wood prior to the mass production and total dominance of the sandpaper in recent times as there is virtually no information to be found about this. I have also done a few replicas of how early sandpapers might have looked and as a part of creating these replicas I have also tested diffrent types of early glues. The conclusion of it all is that all the alternative grinding materials tested workd virtually as well as modern sandpaper, with some reservations. And the replicas, although rough, worked mostly well despite being constructed with simplicity in mind. This indicates that an artisan could easily construct sandpapers if he so wished..
