AbstractThis study examines the conclusions made by Roland Paris in his case study of fourteen major post-war reconstruction efforts following the end of the Cold War, and applies them to the current reconstruction process in post-war Iraq. Paris found a common denominator of the fourteen cases ? a belief that a rapid liberalization process, turning war-torn states into liberal market democracies, would foster sustainable peace. Paris calls this belief ?Wilsonianism? after Woodrow Wilson, who was one of the first advocates of it.

En förutsättning för god miljö är att transportsystemet anpassas efter de krav som finns för en god och hälsosam livsmiljö samt att natur- och kulturmiljön skyddas mot skador. Transportsektorns största problem är utsläppen av koldioxid. En järnväg som är effektiv och konkurrenskraftig möjliggör en förflyttning av andra transporter till järnvägssyste-met. Innebörden av detta är att koldioxidutsläppen från transportsektorn sammantaget minskar ur både nationellt och globalt perspektiv. Ett minskat utsläpp från transportsek-torn bör värderas mot markanspråket, barriäreffekter, resursanvändning, fragmentering samt buller- och vibrationsstörningar.

Without communication, success would be impossible. This study aims to highlight the effect communication has on the members of agile project teams.

During the years of development in the 60s and 70s the need for new housing in Sweden arose. Sweden was going to be the most modern country in the world. Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att gå igenom hur ensilering går till och vad som bör beaktas för att få ett hygieniskt och näringsrikt foder: vilka faktorer som är viktiga innan och efter materialet har ensilerats och vanliga problem i processen utvärderas. Slutligen beskrivs och jämförs vanliga ensileringssystem med dess för och nackdelar. Det är många faktorer som spelar in om ensileringen blir lyckad eller inte och det finns olika orosmoment i ensileringens olika faser. För att öka förutsättningarna för en bra ensilering förtorkas ofta grödan, det är också vanligt att tillsatsmedel används för att öka förutsättningarna till en ordentlig ensilering. Studien tar upp metoderna: balsilo, slangsilo, tornsilo och plansilo och jämför dessa i avseenden som är relevanta i jordbruket.

The purpose with this study was to describe and analyse the daily activities of a criminal group in a southern suburb of Stockholm, Norra Botkyrka, and their attitude to drugs, the police, crimes in general, accomplices and their plans for the future. The study is a combination of different qualitative methods that is built on unobtrusive methods and interviews that was carried out during winter in 2006 and spring in 2007 and six interviews. My interest to carry out this study was grounded on my several years of experience as a prison and probation officer in the prison. I chose to ?live? with a group of criminals and participated in some of their social activities.The respondents that I chose to call ?anti-heroes? proudly tell me about their criminal lifestyle that characterizes of violence, drugs, crimes and conflict where this people show no regret.

We are getting smarter. Our knowledge of the world around us is increasing rapidly and our population spend a big portion of their time in school studying it. But art and craft are moving out to give room for more theoretical subjects. Today many of us can not even fix a torn shirt without help. We buy new ones, they are cheap enough.

Iraq has in recent decades been with internal conflicts between ethnic groups. Despite the enormous wealth of natural resources, more than half of the population remains poor. War and corruption has led to lack of resources and worsening quality of the health sector leading to deteriorating health situation among the population. Womens role and experiences of health and health promotion is important in conflict affected countries to create health and well-being within the family. Objective: the objective of this study was to investigate the maternal experiece of promoting the health of children in an Iraqi context.Method:Aqualitative research methodology with semi-structured interviews was chosen.Six mothers from diffrent neighborhods in the city of kirkuk were interviewed.

This paper intends to provide a better understanding of how to rebuild a crisis affected area and how to plan for the inhabitants of a wounded city. It will also examine the landscape architect's tasks in this work to provide a planning perspective. The discussion of reconstruction is significant because the insight and knowledge in the subject is needed in order to help nations after a disaster. Bosnia-Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo is a city recovering from a civil war where the city's situation was complicated by an ethnic conflict that has been segregating it. The restoration of the city's structure can free people from their tragedy and make them live again.

Byggande i kallt klimat innebär många utmaningar på grund av de hårda påfrestningar byggnader utsätts för. Forskningsprojektet Attract utreder möjligheten åstadkomma attraktivt och hållbart boende i subarktiskt klimat, med utgångspunkter i Kiruna och Gällivare. Tyréns AB är en del av detta och vill effektivisera byggprocessen genom att industrialisera hustillverkningen med förtillverkade moduler. Det skulle innebära en minskning av kostnader och tidsåtgång under både projektering och produktion. Målet med arbetet är att skapa en beräkningsmodell som ska kunna användas för att snabbt ta fram de dimensionerande krafter ett stabiliserande torn av prefabricerade skivelement, exempelvis trapphus, utsätts för. Tanken är att ha få bestämda värden och istället ge användaren av modellen möjlighet att använda egna variabler beroende på situation, vilket skulle innebära att modellen kan användas vid flera olika tillfällen. Arbetet har resulterat i en beräkningsmodell i form av en Exceldatafil där beräkningar utförs automatiskt och levererar dimensionerande krafter för det stabiliserande tornet.

The purpose of my study is to find out how preschool teachers reason concerning their work withgender equality from outside of the curriculum. I propose the following questions: If there is apositive view over the relevance of gender equality from outside of the curriculum? Does thepreschool teachers think themselves to work with gender equality from outside of the curriculum?Does the preschool teachers have any thoughts on whether working with gender equality will have apositive or negative effect on the children? In what way does the preschool teachers reason on theirown meetings with boys and girls? The method chose to use is a qualitative study that is based oninterviews. I have interviewed four preschool teachers in a small society called Katrineholm. Afterthe interviews I have analyzed the material and split it into themes that has been processed.

The purpose of this work was to see if it was possible to rebuild an old dairy house into a house fore sheep production. The goals fore the work was to see witch kind of production model was suitable, how the actual drawing would look like and witch kind of interior was needed. The building was built in the beginning of 1900. It is located on the mountain Kinnekulle in Sweden. It was a big production fore its time and hade about 60 dairy cows. It was a lot of hard work because the floor was built by big stone blocks and it was very hard to rebuild when some more automatic solutions came fore handling all the manure. The idea of remaking the building came when we rebuilt the roof fore 5 years ago.

The specific task of this thesis is to illustrate the complexity of a cooperation between civilian and military entities by examining Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) and their role as an actor among others in the field in a war-torn Afghanistan.By using counterinsurgency strategy as an analytical framework it has been possible to examine the civilian and military contexts closer. Underlying structures concerning the norms and interpretation of reality of the PRTs has been partly revealed. Studies of the PRTs as one significant bearers of "the comprehensive approach", which includes a holistic approach regarding the use of civilian and military capabilities, new conclusions can be drawn on whether a general civil-military approach can be a part of the solution for current and future conflicts. Based on the counterinsurgency strategy, the author has identified three themes as bearing and thus appears through the thesis as a foundation. These are Coordination, Development and Security.

According to the immigration service forecasts Sweden faces large refugee influxes in the coming years. This means that educators in the kindergarten, preschool and school, will meat children from the war torn countries. In this study, the purpose is to find out the educators different conceptions of war-affected refugee children, because my theory is that their beliefs influence their actions. I wanted to get answers to their beliefs about the difficulties or challengers that children and educators may be faced with. Furthermore, I wanted to know what educators envisioned about their own role?s importance to the war affected refugee children and their perceptions of the Swedish culture, environment, language and school.
