The goal of this Master thesis has on the one hand been to create a simulation environment for robots, where not only the simulations in this work can be performed, but also similar robot simulations, and on the other hand to study regulators that can increase the possibilities of rejecting disturbances on an industrial robot. The robot model used has three degrees of freedom, corresponding to the three main links on ABB:s IRB7600. The simulation environment is created using Matlab, Simulink, and Robotics Toolbox. It is constructed in a general way and can be used for simulations of other robot objects created in Robotics Toolbox. A gain scheduling is added to the LQ-regulator, where the feedback matrix is varied depending on the arm position in the workspace.

Even so they tend to store their bits loose in a carpenter belt or Toolbox, since they want the speed and accessibility of carpenter belt over the storage box?s tidiness.The project was started in the fall of 2010 and a referents group was early put together to ensure that the developed product became as user-friendly and attractive as possible.

Evaporation is a part of the chemical recovery department at wood pulping mills. The purpose of evaporation is to remove water from the black liquor, which makes the liquor combustible. The process is very energy demanding, and having a well-functioning model of the system is of greatest interest. The model can then be used to study energy consumption and to test different control strategies. Two models have been developed during the master thesis.

Ett program som simulerar signalbehandlingen i ett cochleaimplantat med signalbehandlingsstrategin ACE (Advanced Combined Encoder) har konstruerats. Programmets främsta syfte är att i förväg prova ut inställningar i ett cochleaimplantat och genom detta försöka förutsäga olika användares individuella inställningar. Programmet har validerats med utsignaler bearbetade av Cochlear Limited i deras egenkonstruerade Matlab-modul för forskning inom cochleaimplantat, NMT (Nucleus Matlab Toolbox). Samma insignal som använts av Cochlear Limited har processats av programmet och utsignalerna från detta jämfördes med utsignalerna från NMT. De bägge utsignalerna, producerade med samma inställningar, stämde bra överens. Komprimeringsfunktionen i programmet, som är en vital del av signalbehandlingen, visade sig stämma bra överens med NMT:s komprimeringsfunktion, sånär som på en relativ minskning av värdet vid starka insignaler. Programmet ska nu användas på Cochleaimplantat-sektionen vid Uppsala Akademiska sjukhus för att pröva ut individuella inställningar till användare av cochleaimplantat.

The concept aims to leave the structure of the traditional Six Sigma concept and instead, from an innovative perspective, search for new solutions to existing problems. The concept constitute of a Toolbox with a lot of quality tools that are divided into phases in a development model.

Near Field Communication (NFC) är en trådlös kommunikationsteknik för korta avstånd, vanligast med cirka 10 cm vilket medför en säkrare förbindelse. NFC är en relativt ung teknologi som är billig att implementera samt användarvänlig. NFC är lämpad främst för mobiltelefoner där en bred implementering av applikationer är möjlig. Tekniken medför snabbare och enklare utbyte av information genom att ställa enheter sida vid sida. I dagsläget används tekniken mest i Asien.

Abstract Before the choice of upper secondary school in the ninth grade, young people need to have knowledge of themselves and the world. In this tough choice, the parents are the main support. The supporting role, which are their thoughts on how much they influence in their children?s choice of study? Based on these issues, we seek the answer to the question; which vision have the parents on their involvement in their children's choice of upper secondary school? Which visions have the parents on the impact on their children's upper secondary school? Do the parents think that the children's upbringing has influenced their choices? Young people's career decisions take place in interaction with their parents and with very different cultural, economic, social and symbolic capital. The concepts are Pierre Bourdieu's theory that intends to be our Toolbox for this thesis.

I JAS 39 Gripen finns funktioner, kallade uppdragsberäkningar, som informerarpiloten om hur mycket bränsle och tid som förväntas gå åt för att slutföra detaktuella flyguppdraget. Uppdragsberäkningsdelen är stor och komplex och genomatt göra en modell av uppdragsberäkningarna kan man enklare simulera och verifieradem innan införandet av en ändring. I detta examensarbete har en modellav koden implementerats i MATLAB/Simulink.Under arbetet har en bränsleberäkningskärna och en accelerationsberäkningsfunktionmodellerats. I samband med modelleringen har modelleringsmetoder utvecklatsför vanligt förekommande dataobjekt och funktionaliteter i koden, såsom variabler,loopar och if-satser. En stor del av arbetet har handlat om validering av modellen mot originalkoden.

Quality, safe­ty and environmental care are three core values for Volvo and together they strive to give their customers the right product with the right quality.Volvo has developed a production system named Volvo Production System, VPS, and one of the pillars is continuous improvements. Within this pillar you can find value stream map­ping, which is used to analyze the value stream through the process. This tool gives a wide perspective and helps to keep focus on the entire process instead of just parts of it.Volvo Penta in Vara has earlier done value stream mapping but without good results since they didn?t take set-up times and imbalances in account.
