In the year of 2002 a new council regulation on community designs was implemented. In the beginning of the essay the legal situtation before the implementation is investigated and part of the purpose is to evaluate if it constitutes a solution to the problems with protection of fashion designs that existed then. Because fashion designs more or less were excluded from protection during the period before the implementation the fashion business developed a habit of unauthorized reproduction. This attitude among the market players is a central point of the essay. The essay starts off with a review of the earlier lack of possibilities regarding the protection of fashion designs.

From a social perspective, I have been working on how to change current consumption patterns through a change in people's behavior and attitude towards their possessions. The concept is based on how we can value, care for, and preserve our belongings by using theories in the empathic design field. At the requestof AssiDomän Frövi the project group were instructed to innovate creative packagesmade of their cardboard Frövi Bright.Three different packages have been developed. Two of them are for child care products and onepackage is for several bath products. Uppsatsen handlar om mjölkförpackningar och dess design. En anledning till att vi valde just mjölkförpackningar beror på att det är en produkt som finns i de flesta hem. Vår frågeställning som ska besvaras är: Hur upplevs designen på mjölkförpackningar? Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur konsumenter upplever olika mjölkförpackningar, svenska såväl som utländska, samt att ta reda på hur mejerierna och/eller de som designar förpackningarna tänker. Vi vill även hitta likheter och olikheter bland de svenska och utländska förpackningarna.

The office is the working environment in which an increasing proportion of the population spends their days . One type of office are open plan offices which are characterized by several people sitting together in the same room without spatial boundaries . The general discourse of this kind of offices is that they constitute an advantageous design that allows organizational changes without the need for redevelopment . From a work perspective, this office design is both criticized and acclaimed . Problems with noise is frequently reported in research which can lead to ill health.

Är det möjligt att arbeta med grafik från 1980-talet för att forma om och lansera på nytt? Kan man komma bort ifrån klyschor och retro stil för att visa upp en modern syn på 1980-talets stil som går att använda i dag? Design finns överallt runt omkring oss, det är en del av våra liv och en beståndsdel som ständigt ändras av medias rörliga plattform. Den ständiga förändring som design för med sig blir många gånger ifrågasatt och diskuterad inom mediebranschen. Ofta kommer rätt och fel upp som begrepp inom design om vad som fungerar eller inte, begrepp som jag i mitt arbete lyfter fram och arbetar kring. Genom olika manipulationer och arbete med digital grafik, som pålägg av texturer och färg/form på fotografier, visar mitt arbete en bildserie som är skapad med färg och form från 1980-talet.

This thesis work contains a litterature study about electrical motors in general and how PWM-patterns for brushless DC-motors can be made. A suitable method has been implemented as a simulation model in VHDL. A simulation model of a brushless DC-motor which describes the phasecurrents, torque and angular velocity has also been made. The motor model made simulations easier for the complete PWM-system. The design was synthesised and tested with a prototypeboard including a SPARTAN II FPGA.

Detta kandidatarbetet är utfört på ett bolag som verkar i telekommunikationsbranschen. Operatörerna på kundtjänst arbetar med att ta emot samtal från Telekombolagets kunder, hjälpa dem med att lösa problem och ge tips och råd. En viktig del av arbetet är att operatörerna gör en analys av kunden för att kunna ge bästa möjliga råd. Rapporten behandlar hur en del av ett textbaserat program kan omarbetas till en grafisk applikation. Etnografiska metoder, i form av observationsstudier och intervjuer, och designtekniker, i form av mockup- och prototypmöten, har använts tillsammans med användarna av programmet.

Användarupplevelser är en gren inom användbarhetsområdet som på senare år kommit att studeras alltmer. Orsaken till detta är att ny teknik medför andra krav på produkter än att produkter som sådana ska vara lätthanterliga. Produkten kan likväl ha som syfte att vara rolig att använda sig av.Studiens syfte var att studera användarupplevelser beträffande Surface-computing teknologi.Företaget Interactive Institutes innovativa Surface-computing produkt Virtual Autopsy Table fick exemplifiera Surface-computing teknologi i publika miljöer. Genom att använda denna uppmärksammade produkt som underlag är syftet att undersöka vilka designmoment som kan anses vara kritiska för upplevelsebaserad design. Studiens frågeställning blev:Vilka riktlinjer kan tas fram för att vägleda en designprocess att bli mer fokuserad påanvändarupplevelser vad gäller Surface-computing system?Med utgångspunkt från studiens datamaterial, så var en del av studiens syfte att ta fram riktlinjer.

I detta examensarbete utvecklas ett solcellsstativ i trämaterial. Ett idékoncept fanns somgrund för hur stativet skulle kunna utformas. Detta har vidareutvecklats, till färdigt systemanpassat för tillverkning.Resultatet blev ett fackverksstativ i trä bestående av vinklade halva oktaeder i rad.Trädetaljerna binds samman med knutpunkter i formsprutad plast, som med klämkraft hållerfast trädetaljerna. Knutpunkterna är konstruerade för att minimera åverkan på träet samtmotverka röta.Systemet är verifierat både genom beräkning, simulering och jämförelse med liknandekonstruktioner. Materilavalet är gjort med systematik enligt Ashby, Material Selection inMechanical Design.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a common disorder in the western world. A majority of those afflicted by a first acute episode is at high risk of developing sub-acute or persistent symptoms. Persistent LBP can be caused by pathological changes in the discs and disturbed neuromuscular activation, which can cause hypotrophy of the extensors strong type-2 muscle fibres. Deadlift (DL) is an exercise that may correct all these pathological transformations. Aim: To investigate the effect of DL-training on patients with persistent LBP.

In this Bachelor Thesis (20 p.), we present the history and development of "Intelligent Houses", and most important- explore some of the future possibilities in this area. The project has been carried out through an interdisciplinary cooperation between three different educations at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. By conducting a dialogue with various actors with different professions, we have been trying to identify needs within the concept of "Intelligent Houses", were the end user is not only the tenant or homeowner. Through Participatory Design methods, such as a Future Workshop, we have brought the users together to discuss their own and each others needs and hindrances in their respective work practice, and how intelligent house technology could improve their work conditions. We have also been testing a highly sophisticated CO/CO2/Moisture/Temperature/Enthalpy multi-sensor & controller, originally developed for regulating indoor climate systems. The study was conducted with an landscape approach with an subject related approach in the field of environmental psychology to investigate how road design affects drivers' choice of speed. The purpose was to portray road environments on thoroughfares in urban areas to motivate motorists to keep the speed limit and thus increase road safety for vulnerable road users. The task question was formulated, how can thoroughfares in suburban settings be portrayed to motivate motorists to reduce speed? The study was conducted throughout a literature review of motivational speed measures along with interviews with road design experts at the Swedish Transport Administration. Case studies were conducted on three thoroughfares in the Stockholm suburbs Vallentuna, Upplands Väsby and Danderyd.
