De konflikter som finns idag skiljer sig markant från dem som står att läsa om i historieböckerna. Det är numera ovanligt med stater som krigar mot varandra. Istället är det de små organisationerna med ambition om att förändra världen som idag utgör det största hotet mot vårt samhälle. Fienden är annorlunda men i många fall används fortfarande samma militära medel och strategi idag som i de mellanstatliga krigen. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka till vilken grad strategiskt bombflyg kan användas i COIN-operationer eller om det är ett militärt medel som endast är applicerbart på mellanstatliga konflikter.

Försvarsbesluten under 2000-talet har inneburit en inriktning för Försvarsmakten mot internationella insatser. En del av de internationella insatserna har ställt Försvarsmakten mot en motståndare av irreguljär karaktär, speciellt i Afghanistan. Denna uppsats vill undersöka vilka lärdomar Försvarsmakten dragit avseende upprorsmotverkan (COIN), och specifikt, lärdomar avseende marktaktik inom COIN, för att öka kunskapen om COIN inom Försvarsmakten.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka Försvarsmaktens syn på taktik inom COIN, genom att undersöka ett antal svenska samtida normativa dokument och se om de överensstämmer med ett antal utvalda COIN-teorier samt besvara frågeställningen: Hur karaktäriseras beskrivningar av taktik inom Counterinsurgency, i samtida svenska normativa texter, jämfört med ett urval COIN-teorier?I uppsatsen beskrivs ett antal teorier angående taktik inom COIN. Utifrån teorierna formas variabler vilka används i en kvalitativ textanalys för att undersöka de olika dokumenten.

Studien avhandlar ett brittiskt kompani under mission i Afghanistan och hur deras operationer står sig i förhållande till David Kilcullens twenty-eight articles. Förbandet hade som uppgift att söka stridskontakt med motståndaren inom ett kompaniområde i syfte att isolera striderna och möjliggöra uppbyggnadsprojekt i Sangin provinsen i Afghanistan. Slutsatserna är att kompaniet uppträdde mer som ett reguljärt skyttekompani och hade inte någon tydlig counterinsurgency metodik i enlighet med Kilcullens teori..

Osäkerhetsfaktorerna är många och där skiftningar i framgångarna varierar kraftigt över tiden. Det gör också att i många fall måste det finnas parallella processer för det säkerhetspolitiska arbetet. Komplexiteten med detta har gjort att det har utvecklats multifunktionella strategier.

The aim of this thesis is to see if there are differences in how managers and other staff looks at goals for short-term accommodation. The results show that there is a difference in views on the goals. This is manifested, among other things, in the form of managers have their focus concentrated on the financial framework for the business. Other staff have their focus directed at targets that are more about the work of the resident. This is a case study that explores the ways in which implemented university reforms have affected employees in the higher educational sector. Previous research within the research field has mainly focused on policy related consequences of the reforms. This is why a study that brings attention to the ways the reforms have affected employees is sorely needed.The aim with the study is to examine whether there is a discrepancy between formal changes and the ways the employees experience them. The study is based on interviews with 8 lecturers from two universities and the material is analyzed mainly through sociological neo-institutional theories, such as Richard Scott?s theory of the three pillars within an informal institution and Helmke and Levintskys theory of the relationship between formal and informal institutions.The results show that there is a discrepancy between the formal changes and the ways employees perceive them.

The objective of this literature study was to describe the nurse?s preventive actions to prevent diabetes type 2 among children and adolescents in school age. It emerged from the analysis that the nurse is working according to three pillars; screening, lifestyle changes and counselling/education. This result showed that what often increase difficulties when working with screening are: undefined guidelines, lack of time and resources. Overweight/obesity is one of many indicators to develop diabetes type 2, therefore it is important that both BMI and waist are measured.

This work intends to find out what synthetically versus organically produced music means for a songwriter / producer as well as for an artist in their everyday role of occupation. What are the positions regarding these two methods and how do they relate to these concepts? This study also concerns the general view of music produced with each one of these methods and to which extent there exists prejudice towards them. The method used for data collection is qualitative interviews.

Föreliggande arbete undersöker metodmässig interoperabilitet genom att jämföra de kommande svenska reglementena Reglemente för Markoperationer och Markstridsreglemente 6 ? Bataljon och deras överensstämmelse med den doktrin som nyttjas av International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) i Afghanistan. Undersökningen syftar till att lämna ett bidrag till den svenska reglementsutvecklingen.Arbetet visar att det finns en överensstämmelse avseende grundbudskapet att lokalbefolkningen behöver skyddas och att man måste förstå deras situation. Det föreligger en låg grad av överensstämmelse avseende metoder för att skydda befolkningen.Författaren lämnar tre rekommendationer:1. Omarbeta beskrivningen av stabiliserande metoder2.

Göbekli Tepe is an 11000 year old religious center where Totem has been exercised. It was raised by megalithic hunters and collectors that still during the construction lived in small-scaled mobile groups in order to find food and therefore should not have had time to raised costly stone monuments. The religious center consists of four enclosures with two T-pillars decorated with pictures of different animals and birds. Any dwellings have not been found. The place has been constructed by a well-organized elitist organization that has been capable of raising constructions in order to exercise their religion in a way we did not thought was possible such a long time ago. Analysis and findings from the near east existing from this time shows however that social changes happen in the communities around the region. Can archeological finding from the excavations on the religious center give any answer or clue regarding how man came to develop from hunter and collector to farmer? Do the findings reveal that the religion has changed Mans way to think and organize so that she was prepared to introduce the agriculture that occurs? The aim of thesis is to clarify whether Göbekli Tepe has played any role in the complex origin of agriculture..

Upprorsbekämpning är en stor del av den militära verksamheten och har varit ett hett ämne under de senaste åren. Upprorsbekämpning har genomförts tidigare och det har skrivits teorier om detta. Galula är en av de mest kända inom ämnet och skrev sin teori 1964. Storbritannien har också varit aktiva inom detta ämne och hanterat flera uppror, vilket medfört att de även har en välutvecklad COIN doktrin från 2009. Tiderna förändras och även upproren förändras, ny teknik gör upprorsbekämpning mer komplicerad och bekämpningen av dem måste styras av insurgenternas beteenden.

The aim is to examine how students with attention difficulties may demonstrate their mathematical understanding through visual representations. A curiosity about how students think about mathematics, national tests and Concepts cartoons has also permeated the study. With help of observations combined with interviews and actively work for a week, the study shows an idea of how visual representations can help students with concentration difficulties to stay focused on their tasks. I chose a selection of pupils to do some mathematical tasks from the national tests which they had not been able to solve before. Now in the form of Concepts cartoons, which I designed, they managed to solve the same mathematics data. In my study treatment and interaction reveals as key pillars for a successful educational work with the students with concentration difficulties. Thus, all pupils who previously have been unable to solve these assignments on the National test were now able to show their mathematical understanding supported by visual representations..

Today there are many studies that have shown positive results in the treatment of ICT at an early age. The focus of the studies vary, and they target everything from the actual implementation of teaching resources in ICT, to student performance with ICT support. Regardless of the amount of studies on the subject, there is no precise strategy for how to implement, working with ICT, integrate ICT in different subjects, utilizing the hardware and software that is or how it will eventually respond to new technologies. This work will there by focusing on trying to develop a basis for further research and hopefully in the future to develop an ICT strategy at a national level.In order to provide a basis, a comparison was made of ten different schools.
