Purpose: Which type of social critique does hiphop music present and is it possible to categorize the critique?Is it possible to categorize the social critique ideologically on the basis of socialism, liberalism and conservatism?Procedure and method: A qualitative text method has been used to see which arguments the songs portray. Two different analyzes has been used. The first one was a theory based on Thomas Denk and Daniel Silanders book: Att studera demokratisering and Arvidssons book: Musik och politik hör ihop and its purpose were to categorise the critique. The second one was based on a book by Reidar Larssons: Politiska ideologier i vår tid.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the identity, competences and professional development of corporate librarians. I have done an empirical study based on semi structured interviews with 11 information professionals who were working at Astra Zeneca at the time of the re-organizations of the company in 2009 which ultimately led to the closing of the libraries. I have also examined the views on competences and professional development of librarians in general, both in Sweden and in Denmark. I have used Thomas Brante?s theories on profession types as well as Anders Ørom?s theories on librarian identities as my theoretical framework.

Hydropericardium or pericardial effusion (PE) is the accumulation of fluid in the pericardial sac and is often secondary to pericardial diseases or diseases related to the heart. It is unusual with clinically relevant pericardial diseases in cats but pericardial effusion is the most common one. Since PE causes serious symptoms and may lead to death it is important with a quick diagnosis and treatment. PE can be acute and cause cardiac tamponade, which gives severe clinical signs. Cardiac tamponade needs to be treated immediately or else the cat will die from cardiogenic chock. More common is chronic PE where the fluid accumulates during a longer period of time and the pericardial sac stretches.

Vid analysen av annonserna har semiotiska och retoriska analysverktyg använts.Slutsatser: Rosa Bandet har positionerat sig genom att de har ett rosa band som symboliserar kampen mot bröstcancer. De har använt färgen rosa väldigt tydligt som då har gjort att man associerar färgen till Rosa Bandet. Slutresultaten visar på att sampositioneringen med huvudsponsorerna gynnar Rosa Bandet Kampanjen på så sätt att de får större uppmärksamhet på flera sätt.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate whether Suzanne Retzinger?s linguistic cues for shame and verbal behaviors for hiding shame could be used to measure shame in surveys based on Thomas Scheff?s theory of shame. I created a measurement instrument consisting of 30 statements, which were all meant to measure general shame.The instrument was administrated to 180 respondents studying at Karlstad University, of whom 4 respondents were removed from the data set due to lack of standardization. With the polytomous rasch model used for the analysis, data from 176 respondents were analyzed, of whom 124 respondents were female and 52 were male.The result showed that the measurement instrument?s statements should not be used together because the analysis indicated multidimensionality.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att öka kunnandet och förståelsen inom området konflikter och konflikthantering. Metoden som används är en fallstudie där lärares och elevers syn på den konflikthantering som sker på en specifik gymnasieskola studeras. Den övergripande frågan är hur lärare och elever upplever, hanterar och arbetar med konflikthantering i skolan. Frågeställningar: ? På vilket sätt ser lärare och elever på varför konflikter uppstår?? På vilket sätt påverkar konflikter lärare och elever och samspelet emellan dessa och vad får det för konsekvenser?? Hur ser lärare och elever på skolans arbete med konflikthantering?Metod: En fallstudie med intervjuer.

As the number of people owning a smartphone rapidly increases so too does the opportunity for various researchers to exploit this technology. The possibility to recruit people to participate in research studies improves and with it the chance to get more diversified target groups in terms of age, socio-economic status, geographical location, etc.In this essay, I argue that the opportunities smartphones offer in terms of collecting research material is vastly underestimated in several areas, bearing in mind the advantages they present. In order to support my argument, I shall present a case study carried out in the research area of happiness ? an area where the use of smartphones has provided significant opportunities for research.In order to gather the advantages and disadvantages of this method of study from the participants? perspective, I have followed a happiness research study which is a collaboration between Umeå University and The University of Stockholm. I have interviewed the participants of this study in order to assess the advantages and opportunities that smartphones offer in research programs.Overall, the participants? opinion of this research method was generally positive and it was considered to be quite easy to participate in the study and respond to the questions asked.

Färjestadstravet behöver utöka antalet boxplatser för gästande hästar med 30 stycken. Bör detta göras genom att bygga nya gästboxar? Eller bör nya boxar för permanentuppstallning byggas, och då bygga om några befintliga stall till gäststallar? Hur kan stallet utformas? Var på stallbacken bör stallet byggas? För att besvara dessa frågor har jag tittat på vilka praktiska lösningar de olika typerna av stallar behöver, samt gjort vissa ekonomiska överslagsberäkningar. Thomas Söderberg som är anläggningschef på Färjestadstravet frågade tränarna om de var intresserade av att hyra ett nybyggt stall. De flesta var positiva till detta men ingen var villig att betala högre boxhyra än de gör idag.

I föreliggande studie åsyftas att erhålla en djupare förståelse om ordningsvakters erfarenheter och upplevelser av våld och hot. Vi vill även få klarhet i vilken betydelse samspelet mellan kollegorna har, samt vad interaktionen mellan ordningsvakterna och gästerna har för betydelse för upprätthållandet av ordning där de arbetar. Uppsatsen har genomförts i en sydsvensk mindre stad. För insamling av empiri har vi nyttjat oss av kvalitativ metod, där 10 semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts där 10 respondenter av olika kön deltagit. En delvis deltagande observation på en nattklubb har även genomförts som ett komplement till intervjuerna.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the role of nationalism in the former Yugoslavia conflicts, with focus on the most involved parts: Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conflict was characterized by extensive ethnic cleansing between all ethnic groups (Muslims, Croats and Serbs). This study looks at three different nationalism theories formulated by Ernest Gellner, Benedict Anderson and Thomas Hylland Eriksen through a case study of former Yugoslavia. When the president of former Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito died and the communism in Europe was brought to an end Yugoslavia went towards its disintegration. This is when nationalism and ethnic separatism begins.

The piglet mortality rates have become a major issue in today?s pig production. While other production traits such as number of born piglets or produced piglets per sow have been improved, the mortality rate has escalated. High mortality rates before weaning does not only affect the economy but must also be looked at as both an animal welfare problem and an ethical issue. The background to this problem has been addressed many times, and its salvation has also been addressed by breeding.

To achieve an optimal combustion, an even air/fuel ratio in the combustion chamber is required. An optimal combustion leads to reduced amount of emissions due to a more complete combustion, which is an important matter because of the sharpened environmental laws. This can be attained, among other things, by applying entirely variable cam times. To optimize the engines efficiency and its emissions at all workloads and speeds, an active valve control can be applied. This means that the intake and exhaust-valves can be opened and closed at any time, independent of the crankshaft position.
