This report presents a thesis project at the School of Engineering, Jo?nko?pingUniversity, where the task has been to develop a proposal for a parish communitycentre for the Swedish church?s parish community in Bankeryd.Background1 st of November in 2004 the parish in Bankeryd appointed a special commissionof inquiry called Framtidsgruppen (Future Group), to analyse the parishcommunity?s different activities during the past 5 years and analyse the futureactivities and needs for the upcoming 5-10 years. This analysis would underlie theneeds of building a new centre for the parish community.Implementation, results and conclusionThe main focal points which this report is concentrated on has been to develop abuilding that is well suited for the activities, well adjusted for disabled persons andthe building shall be appealing in an architectural point of view.Based on the information provided from the parish community, studies ofliterature, reference objects and discussions with the contact person at the parishcommunity and the instructor of this project, the programming has beendeveloped. The building?s programming has been the source for the continuedwork with floor plans and the building design..

Den här studien beskriver en konflikt kring en bergvärmetrend för bostadsrättsföreningar som uppstått i Uppsala under hösten 2010 och våren 2011. Konfliktens parter är å ena sidan bostadsrättsföreningar som valt att satsa på bergvärme för att i första hand minska sina uppvärmningskostnader från fjärrvärmen. Å andra sidan majoriteten i Uppsala kommuns miljö- och hälsoskyddsnämnd som är oroliga för trendens miljömässiga effekter, framförallt för elförsörjningen, och förespråkar fjärrvärme. Utifrån två teoretiska perspektiv har jag satt konflikten kring bergvärmetrenden i ett större historiskt och samhälleligt sammanhang. Jag har prövat möjligheten att se konflikten som en konflikt kring fjärrvärme som ett stort tekniskt system med referens till teknikhistorikern Thomas B. Hughes.

This study is about which opinion active teachers are having when it comes to integrate religious traditions and ceremonies in their teaching. The aim is to study the religious traditional ceremonies part and how they are being defined in the Swedish classrooms in primary school. Together with literature, research and the discussion in this study, I came up to a few conclusions of how religious ceremonies will be integrated and how it looks like in Swedish classrooms. In this study of literature and research overview, the literatures are intended to provide an insight about how the Swedish school system went from a Christian education to a school that was separate from the church. In the chapter called Literature and research overview the literatures are written by scientists and therefore this chapter is based on research.

This qualitative research is a contribution to the ongoing debate among marketing researchers regarding if there is a dominant paradigm and viewpoint of marketing and which one is the most appropriate. In this study current views of marketing are identified and then compared against the older Goods-Dominant Logic of Marketing and Vargos? and Luschs? alternative Service-Dominant Logic of Marketing. The trends that have been observed are situated in the framework of Thomas S. Kuhn?s philosophy of science.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether religious behavior or religious identity changes when a person with Muslim background moves to a Christian country and also very secular such as Sweden. I have interviewed five people with Muslim background that have moved from Turkey to Sweden. In this study I have applied Anthony Giddens and Thomas Ziehe's theories about building up an identity but also Nader Ahmadis theory of migration and identity.The results of this study show that there is a change in the practice of religion but also that this differs between these five people who came from the same country. Nevertheless, a change in the practice of religion can on one hand be as a result of modernity and on the other hand, exclusion of family. It also proves that it is not possible to draw general conclusions on this issue instead it should be looked at from an individual perspective..

With a background in the 17th century?s English political events, but also the ideological scene of that time, the purpose of this essay is to analyze two concepts, freedom and happiness, in Thomas Hobbes?s political writings. Hobbes is well known for his political works, mostly for Leviathan, where his thoughts about government and religion are exposed. But what does he say about freedom? And what about happiness? The study shows that Hobbes?s political thought is quite original from this aspect too.

Företag har ett flertal olika marknadsföringsverktyg att tillgå för att kommunicera ett varumärkes budskap till marknaden. Sponsring kan vara ett effektivt sådant verktyg för att exponera varumärket. Sponsring är ett relativt nytt fenomen som har vuxit avsevärt under de senaste decennierna. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka sponsringsverksamheten hos företag med starka varumärken samt hur dessa företag kan utnyttja sponsring för att förstärka sina varumärken.Vi har valt att genomföra denna studie ur ett företagsperspektiv. Dessutom fokuserar vi endast på företagsvarumärken.

I Europa pågår det ett projekt som har till uppgift att ta fram lagtextförslag till en gemensam europeisk civillag. Syftet med denna uppsats är att försöka förutspå hur Sverige skulle påverkas av denna civillag. Materialet till uppsatsen är främst hämtat från aktuella artiklar och Internet men viss litteratur har också hittats, trots att projektet inte är slutfört. Denna uppsats är inte uttömmande inom området utan det är förändringarna i stort som behandlas. Vi anser att Sverige behöver engagera sig mer för att kunna påverka utgången av projektet.

Tidigare studier visar att sekulariseringen inneburit stora förändringar på det religiösa området. Studiens syfte var att beskriva hur präster inom Svenska kyrkan i Gävle uppfattade sekulariseringens påverkan. Fokus låg på att beskriva de kvalitativt olika uppfattningar som fanns, då dessa förhoppningsvis skulle ge en ökad och fördjupad vetskap kring sekulariseringens olika verkningar. Det empiriska materialet samlades in via kvalitativa intervjuer där åtta präster gav uttryck för sina uppfattningar. Studien visar på att kvalitativt olika uppfattningar fanns.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate the lending of video games at the public libraries in Sweden. The thesis focused around a web survey, which was sent out to all public library directors, as its research material. The results were compared with those found in a master thesis by Olle Berg and Thomas Nyström from 2008. This was done to gain a better understanding of why the libraries provided video games. The other results of the survey were analyzed with a quantitative method.The results indicate that half of the responding libraries provide video games for borrowing.

The essay deals with questions concerning the reasons, difficulties and subjects for rejoicing which various people experience when visiting "voluntarily" old, lonely people in the congregation of Trollhättan. What knowledge is developed and which values are formed? How is aging and solitude experienced? The visits are co-ordinated by two lay workers employed by the Swedish Church. The study is built on oral interviews in April and May 2003 from a questionaire using open questions. The research group consists of six women between 65-80 of age with 1-30 years´ experience.Inner reasons, contact with other people in similar situations, positive responses to visits, and meetings in the visiting service group seem to be the principal driving forces.

As a Swedish landscape architecture student living in Australia for five years, I have often wondered if my memories and my associations with the landscape and the nature in Sweden, are the same as other Swedish people living in Melbourne. Most of the Swedish people who live here in Melbourne remember and associate Sweden?s nature and landscape with where they grew up or where they used to live. The plants that most of the Swedish people I asked missed from Sweden were associated to special feelings or activities. The general type of landscape people remember from Sweden is that of a landscape covered in forests, which you can walk freely through. With these memories as a foundation and with inspiration from the Swedish landscape architect Thorbjörn Anderson?s way of creating places, by letting a few strong changes play against the existing elements,2 but also with consideration of the climate and the severe shortage of water that is current in Melbourne, will I create a design concept for the garden surrounding the Swedish Church in Melbourne. Bemötandefrågorna får allt viktigare betydelse i dagens polisarbete. Detta gäller i möten med såväl vuxna personer som barn. En bra kommunikation mellan barn och vuxna kan ha en avgörande roll i en brottsutredning. Med denna rapport vill vi belysa vikten av ett bra förhör med barn, hur ett barnförhör skiljer sig från ett förhör med en vuxen person, och varför det skiljer sig. Vi studerar faktorer som påverkar barnet i samband med ett förhör och i hur stor utsträckning barnets ålder och utveckling inverkar på förmågan att minnas.

Metod: Jag använder mig av svensk kvartalsdata för inflation och penningmängd (mätt som M0 och M3) mellan 1993:1 och 2005:4, för att se om modeller med en felkorrigeringsterm ger bättre prognoser än VAR-modeller, AR-modeller och RW-modeller. Jag prognostiserar med indirekt metod och använder tre olika prognoshorisonter, t+1, t+4 och t+8. Slutsats: Kointegration ger inte bättre prognoser oavsett prognoshorisont. För t+1 är AR-modellen bäst och för t+4 och t+8 är VAR-modellerna bäst.
