Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur fyra svensklärare verksamma inom grundskolan och gymnasiet använder film som didaktiskt verktyg i syfte att normproblematisera och utveckla elevers språk. Metoden som används är semistrukturerad intervju. Resultatet visar att svensklärarna låter sina elever diskutera och reflektera kring vad filmer förmedlar genom både muntliga och skriftliga uppgifter samt övningar av olika slag. De är av åsikten att arbete med film är språkutvecklande och att man kan diskutera många olika aspekter utifrån film. Slutsatsen vi drar är att svensklärare med hjälp av film kan skapa meningsfulla sammanhang som gynnar elevernas utveckling vad gäller språk och medvetenhet kring normer..

Syftet med undersökningen är att studera hur lärare i ämnet historia resonerar kring användandet av film i undervisningen. Fokus ligger på att undersöka hur lärarna anger att de går tillväga när de gör sitt filmurval och i vilket syfte de uppger att de visar film. Undersökningen syftar också till att ta reda på hur lärarna uppger att de bearbetar filmerna tillsammans med eleverna. Undersökningen har genomförts med hjälp av intervjuer av fyra historielärare från både grundskolan senare del samt gymnasiet. Undersökningen visar att film kan användas för olika syften i undervisningen. Resultatet visar att filmurval och bearbetning av film sker på likartade sätt.

Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

I will write about product placement in film from a Swedish point of view. This entails writing about Swedish films with different types of product placements, not only how they are done but also discuss how they succeed from a sales perspective. In my earlier work I have written about the product placement of watches. In this thesis I focus on the film series about the Swedish agent Carl Hamilton, since here you can see how Swedish film has developed during the past 30 years with regard to product placements. Both world politics and the concrete placements are illustrated in a clear way.

Denna uppsats har som mål att undersöka begreppet kvalitetsfilm och dess användning med utgångspunkt i marknadsföringskanalerna public relations, marketing management och filmfestivaler i Sverige. Uppsatsen definierar marknadsföring och beskriver hur den kan praktiseras i filmindustrin. Begreppsanalysen av kvalitetsfilm refererar till Pierre Bourdieus sociologiska texter och har en kort historisk genomgång av hur begreppet kvalitetsfilm myntades i Sverige. Sedan följer en genomgång av kvalitetsfilm i förhållande till europeisk konstfilm samt hur begreppet influerat den svenska filmbranschen idag. Uppsatsen innehåller analyser utifrån tre kvalitativa intervjuer med anställda som i någon form arbetar med kvalitetsfilm, samt litteratur kring marknadsföring av film och kvalitetsbedömning..

Rapportens huvudfokus handlar om ifall det är möjligt att skapa mjuka kroppar med hjälp av många små fasta kroppar. Det kollas även ifall det går att ge ett realistiskt beteende vid kollision med dessa. Biblioteken som har används för att testa detta är Microsoft XNA och fysikmotorn Farseer Physics.Spelet som byggdes är ett 2D plattform spel där spelaren spelar en boll som kan hoppa på vattendroppar och löv som båda är mjuka kroppar. Vattendroppen är uppbyggd av små hårda kroppar medan lövet är en större hård kropp som med hjälp av en Distance Joint kan vrida på sig vid kollision.Det går att göra en mjuk kropp med realistiska kollisioner men fysik motorn som används i detta fallet ger vissa restriktioner..

The aim with this essay is to find out what the expected changes in the subject physics will lead to for teachers and their pupils in ?gymnasiet?. The new fields we have chosen to focus on are electronic structure of condensed matter, nanotechnology and material physics. By studying earlier used curricula and textbooks, we illustrate what teachers may have come into contact with in their teaching careers. The main focus lies on what teachers claim to know about the fields mentioned above and if there is a need for further education.

The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..

The art of producing films have been around for more than a century and the technology just continues to evolve. But although much has happened in 100 years, there are also processes, theories and practices that look the same now as then. I write this thesis because I want to find the differences between the analogue and the digital way of production. This study is based on a qualitative approach because my ambition is to seek the views concerning film production processes. The advantages of analogue film is that it contains more information than the digital formats and that it has a more cinematic style.

Arbetet är tänkt att belysa barn och ungdomars förmåga att med källkritiska ögon kunna ta till sig undervisning som framställs med hjälp av filmer, böcker, spel mm som innehar historiska teman. Film är och bör vara ett fantastiskt hjälpmedel för ungdomarna. Om de får förklarat hur de ska tillgodose sig med informationen som framställs i exempelvis filmer som kan inneha förvanskade detaljer. Om källkritiken finns närvarande som en faktor i undervisningen för att kontrollera sanningsenligheten i filmer, böcker, spel mm blir ungdomarna medvetna om den förvanskning som ofta finns inom film och skönlitterära verk. Film is a tool frequently used by teachers, but it is often limited to showing students how historical time periods looked like, or as a way for students to search for historical inaccuracies. The aim of this essay is to study whether it is possible to use two films based on the legend of Robin Hood as a way to teach students how to contextualize gender history. Through the use of film analysis and gender analysis of two different versions of Robin Hood, The adventures of Robin Hood and Robin Hood: Prince of thieves were analyzed. The study has shown that it is indeed possible to use film as a source material for the study of gender history, and that film can tell us a lot about the contemporary view of gender, masculinity and femininity. The didactical analysis concluded that there was no theoretical objection of using film as a source material; however, there are some things that a teacher should be aware of. Although film may be a good way to create a varied study environment and benefit students with reading- and writing disabilities, there is a risk that time-constraints and lack of knowledge of film and its methodology on, behalf of both teachers and students, may make it hard to implement.
