Tediousness, fear and boredom are all part of everyday?s life for a student. How can a teacher counteract these feelings of boredom and replace them with a feeling of pleasure of learning? Students have to be motivated and want to go to school every day. By comparing student?s experiences of motivation this essays purpose is to create a theory about factors for motivation in education.

Uppsatsen fokuserar på den organtransplanterade patientens upplevelse av sin sociala funktion ett år efter transplantationen. SyfteSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka huruvida det finns ett huvudsakligt problem avseende social funktion för den organtransplanterade patienten.MetodMetoden i denna studie grundar sig på grounded theory, vilket innebär att det inte finns ett på förhand förutbestämt antal informanter utan intervjuer pågår tills en mättnad uppstår. I syfte att pröva metoden genomfördes en pilotstudie med tre levertransplanterade personer, två män och en kvinna.ResultatTre huvudsakliga kategorier som visade på den sociala processen i den sociala funktionen under det första året som transplanterad framstod i resultatet; Anpassar sig till isolering, försöker vara aktiv och anspassar sig till bakslag/komplikationer samt är aktiv och anpassar sig till tröttheten. I den preliminära analysen relaterades dessa därefter i en möjlig kärnkategori; Att återfå ett normalt liv så snart som möjligt.

This report outlines the work to develop an iPhoneapplication from idea to released product. The project is a thesis which was commissioned by ICA AB (a major Swedish grocery chain). In this paper we have chosen to focus on social workers and their experiences of interacting with clients with neuropsychiatric disabilities, in example persons with ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), Asperger syndrome, autism and/or Tourette syndrome. The main purpose was to look into three areas: What knowledge do social workers mean that they need about neuropsychiatric disabilities and how can their needs of knowledge can be met? How do they experience the meeting with a person with neuropsychiatric disabilities? How does the cooperation function between authorities regarding persons with neuropsychiatric disabilities?Definition of the concept of disability and function from a historical perspective points out that the approach has changed over time. Previous research studies of the interaction in meeting between the client and the social worker shows that the social worker carries two faces, so called aspects. The first aspect is about help and care and the second aspect is about administrative functions.

Swedish and international research indicate that many measures made by social services, concerning children and adolescents who are taken from their homes to an institution, are interrupted prematurely for different reasons. The word "breakdown" is used when a measure granted by the social service is broken before the projected time has passed. Research concerning how social service employees are influenced by measures being interrupted prematurely is very limited. The aim of this qualitative study is to examine how social service employees in Malmö are influenced by the premature interruption, "breakdown", of measures concerning children and adolescents who are taken from their homes to an institution. The theoretic basis for the study is Symbolic interactionism, especially the theory of Stefan Morén concerning conditions for change.The study is based on interviews with social employees, relevant material from research in this field and an examination of the theoretical basis.

The purpose of this study is tounderstand the approach that the staff who works in the aftercare for juvenileoffenders have to the organizational structure in the organization they workin. SiS is the authority which is taking care of the juvenile offenders if theybeen sentence to closed youth institutional care, when they are done it is thesocial service were the adolescent live which is responsible for the aftercare.This is decided by the law since 1999, if a young person between 15 and 17commit a serious crime, they can be sentenced to closed youth institutionalcare. The interest for this study was the aftercare and what possibleparticipant was involved in the aftercare for this young people. By looking upearlier research in the area and doing six different interviews with bothsocial workers, staff on the SiS-institution and an organization for ex convictthe purpose was examines. To analyze the interviews the theory called newinstitutionalism was used.

The study aims to describe and analyse the relationship between norm and practice regarding social services casework on honour-related problems. The relationship between norm and practice involves the difference between the way it is intended that social workers shall operate in these cases and how they perceive that this works in practice. We interviewed two focus groups of eight Swedish social workers, four in each group. We also held an individual interview with a social services business developer. Focus group interviews were based on two vignettes; one depicting an honour-related case and the second an "ordinary" case.

The purpose with the study is to see how middle managers in communal elderly care looks at the implementation of the salutogenic way of working in their operations. And how it affects the middle managers working situation. We studied which scope of actions middle managers has in the salutogenic way of working. We had previous knowledge that the salutogenic working way is an ongoing work of development in several communes, and therefore we chose to study in a profound way how this work of development affects the middle managers working situation. To reach a deeper knowledge about how the salutogenic way of working affects the middle managers working situation we conducted a qualitative study with been seven semi-structured interviews with middle managers in different geographical communes.

The aim of this study was to examine young adult cannabis users? attitudes towards cannabis and their perception of the normalization of cannabis. The purpose was also to explore how their views of cannabis correspond with norms regarding cannabis. This study is based on interviews with five young adult cannabis users. The theoretical framework is based on Parker?s normalization thesis, Goffman?s notion of stigma, Becker?s definition of outsiders and the definition of social identity developed by Stone.

För att undersöka vad som motiverar människor att arbeta ideellt inom idrottsföreningar med Self-Determination theory och Functional approach som grund, samt om det råder någon skillnad beroende på ålder och antal timmar människor lägger på sitt ideella engagemang, skickades en enkät ut till ideellt engagerade i fyra olika idrottsföreningar. Av de 125 deltagarnas resultat visade det sig att de yngre deltagarna i högre grad motiverades av karriärfunktion i Functional approach. Kontrollerad motivation från Self-Determination theory var vanligare bland dem som spenderade över tre timmar på det ideella arbetet. Gemensamt för deltagarna var att de i störst grad drevs av autonom motivation från Self-Determination theory, det vill säga den inre viljan att göra något. Detta tyder på att det var självutvecklande, egenvinnande motiv som motiverade denna studies deltagare till ideellt arbete..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att försöka förstå varför mentala problem vid ett framträdande i sång uppkommer samt att hitta lösningar till dessa. Bakgrunden till att jag vill skriva om detta är att jag under praktiker och arbeten med sångelever märkt att just mentala problem ofta hindrar människor från att bland annat framträda inför en publik. Dessutom känner jag mig själv hindrad av denna typ av problem vid framföranden. Mina frågeställningar har bland andra varit hur sångaren påverkas av sin nervositet och vad kritik spelar för roll. Självförtroende och självkänsla är förutom nervositet och kritik termer som dykt upp vid flertalet tillfällen under arbetets gång.

Background: The majority of nurses experience work relatedstress, which can lead to a negative impact on patient care. Thestress can be handled by coping strategies. Aim: To illuminatecoping strategies among nurses experiencing work relatedstress. Method: The study has been accomplished as aliterature study, with a systematic review of scientific articles.Findings: Following coping strategies appeared: problemsolving, long-term strategies, passive strategies, leisurestrategies, social support and mental strategies. Conclusion:Awareness of coping strategies for dealing with work relatedstress, can lead to improvement in patient care..

The aim of this qualitative study is to gain a deeper understanding of how young people whoare unemployed or have experienced unemployment, experience the situation and how theyapprehend themselves in relation to unemployment. I performed semi-structured interviewswith five young women and men. Three theoretical perspectives have been used for myanalysis, Marie Jahoda?s deprivation theory, Mikael Nordenmark´s PEN-model and HansBerglund?s action theory.The results show that the majority of the respondents perceive the situation as unemployed asdifficult and stressful. Four out of five have more or less felt depressed or sad.

Sexual violence in armed conflict is not a new phenomenon. Although it has a long history, it's only in recent years from 1990 that is has been given more attention in science and media. I will in my thesis look at the conflicts of former Yugoslavia and Congo (DRC) and I will use two theories to investigate how the use of conflict-related sexual violence best can be explained. The two theoretical frameworks I have chosen are Feminist theory and Rational Choice theory. The conflicts will be at the center of analysis.
