AbstractPurpose/Aim: To study how Piratbyrån argues for a free distribution of information and culture products and to find a possible ideological explanation for their argumentation.Method/Material: I have used a rhetorical analysis to study and describe Piratbyrån´s website, a website that promotes free distribution of information and culture products. I have done so to find out how Piratbyrån argues for a free distribution and to find out what ideological foundation their argumentation is based on.Main results: The main results of the study show that Piratbyrån uses a variety of rhetorical techniques depending on the subject and purpose of the analyzed text. Their main arguments both promote their own thesis and argue against the copyright industry. The main part of the argumentation is based on logical and factual arguments, but parts of it also rely on an emotional appeal to the reader?s heart in order to persuade.

Människor har ett behov av delaktighet i sociala sammanhang, att ha meningsfulla relationer till andra individer. Detta är en förutsättning för ett gott socialt välbefinnande. Den här studien undersöker ifall internetcafeér kan ha betydelse för det sociala välbefinnandet hos individer. Datainsamlingen gjordes genom observationer, intervju samt fokusgruppdiskussioner. Datan analyserades enligt etnografisk metodansats med induktiv kvalitativ innehållsanalys, vilket resulterade i indelningen i kategorier som på olika sätt berör det sociala välbefinnandet.

Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

Samtidigt vill vi öka förståelsen kring hur klubbarna arbetar för att göra arenaprojektet hållbart över tid. Metod:Vår undersökning är kvalitativ och har gjorts genom intervjuer med representanter från fyra olika allsvenska klubbar. Teori:Den teoretiska delen bygger på forskning om utveckling av projekt samt litteratur och vetenskapliga artiklar om arenautveckling.

This is a field study based on participant observations and interviews, describing the cooking teacher's complex everyday life. The school's restaurant is a unique arena, freely hovering between two worlds: The school world and the restaurant reality. Here, the students are confronted with real situations and problems, similar to the ones occurring in a restaurant, still having the school's safety net beneath them. It is for real, but still not, a bit like a flight simulator.It is on that arena the cooking teacher works, combining the two roles of the teacher and the chef. Two roles built on their own traditions and values.

The purpose of this study is to examine in what way a strong corporate culture can have an effect on the ways that individuals perceive their own identity based on different social aspects, thereby meaning the influence of personalities in relation to the environment. In this essay I have used the theory of employer branding in an analysis of the corporate culture at Ikea Barkarby, with the purpose to answer the following questions: How does the relation between the employee and the corporate culture appear from an identity perspective, i.e can an individual?s identity be affected by the influence of a strong corporate culture? If the corporate culture has an influence on the individual?s identity, what rhetorical tools are part of this? How can the surrounding corporate cultures possibly influence the employee?s process of becoming a part of the corporate culture? The method of research that was used in this study is a framing analysis and a semistructured interview method. In the discussion of the influence of social environment on identity I have used the rhetorical term doxa. The material that was examined was an advertisement for employment from the Ikea Barkarby website as well as the response from my interviews of some of the employees.The result of the analysis shows that it is possible for an individual to negotiate with himself about his identity in relation to the actual situation and environment, meaning a possible transformation of the individual?s behavior in different social contexts, in this example the corporate culture at work.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av trädgården som arena för arbetsterapeutisk rehabilitering. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av sju legitimerade arbetsterapeuter som arbetat med klienter i trädgårdsmiljö. De utvalda arbetsterapeuterna intervjuades utifrån en semistrukturerad intervjuguide. Det insamlade datamaterialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet presenteras i tre kategorier "Trädgården som ett aktivitetsrum", "Trädgårdsrelaterade terapeutiska aktiviteter" och "Arbetsterapeutens kompetens för trädgårdsrehabilitering".

Denna uppsats behandlar ämnet OPS och de kringliggande områden som har varit av intresse för att studera valda delar, av upphandlingen och konstruktionen av samarbetet mellan kommunen och privata aktörer, kring Uppsala Arena. De ämnesområden som aktualiseras i huvudsak är; den kommunala kompetensen, statstöd och formerna för olika typer av upphandling inom EU. Resultatet visar att Arenaprojektet i Uppsala är att betrakta som en byggkoncession. Dessutom har konstaterats att kommunen kan ha agerat utanför den kommunala kompetensen och att stödet mycket väl kan utgöra ett otillbörligt statstöd. Faktumet att Uppsala kommun inte ansökte om godkännande från EU kommissionen för sitt stöd till Arenaprojektet kan ses som en lärdom för andra kommuner som planerar att genomföra liknande projekt, då detta agerande med största sannolikhet avskräcker privata aktörer, med den ökade risk det medför..

The purpose of this study was to illustrate how children of the "digital generation" used their computers in their everyday practice. The important in the study was children's perspective on computers interactions and communications in a digital arena.An essential item about understanding children's way to think about computers was to let children themselves speak by taking part in the study, because children's voices are seldom heard in public. The empirical material used was interviews with sex children between 13 and 15 years old. My method was qualitative.The main results showed that social relations are very important for children. The Internet gives children access to an arena where they are able to make new contacts with others as well as transcend their biological as their physical identity.An important accepts for the children in the study was the option to be anonymous.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the user discourses that can be identified in the public library field. Questions posed in this study are: what discourses can be found, what characterises them, how are users categorised and what does this categorisation imply. The theoretical starting-point is Ernesto Laclaus and Chantal Mouffes discourse theory. The method is text analytic. 62 articles from three library journals - Biblioteksbladet, Bibliotek i Samhälle and Ikoner are analysed through a model in four phases.

The purpose of this study was to examine the political party ?Feministiskt initiativ? (Fi) and their communication during the election campaign 2006. We wanted to find out what the intention was and how the communication was received by the public. We also looked for signs of congruence between those two sides.Fi is the first political party with a feministic ideology to candidate for the parliament in Sweden. The party is rather new and their political standpoints and internal affairs have often been subject of for debate in the media.We wanted to investigate people?s individual opinions of the matter, and therefore we chose to personally interview a number of people.

Syftet med vår studie har varit att ge en ökad förståelse för pedagogers syn på och hur verksamheten i förskolan formas utifrån ett jämställdhetsperspektiv. Vidare valde vi att studera hur barn i förskolan uppfattar jämställdhet. Vi valde att utföra vår studie med en kvalitativ forskningsmetod bestående av intervjuer enskilt och i grupp. Vi intervjuade både pedagoger och barn för att nå vårt syfte. Resultatet av intervjuerna med pedagogerna var att de tyckte det var svårt att arbeta med jämställdhet då verksamheten anses som en arena för kvinnor.
